Elisa Baker – The Hits Just Keep Coming

Already charged with second-degree murder and the dismembering of young Zahra Baker, Elisa Baker has been keeping the Grand Jury quite busy!  She has just been indicted on two more felony charges for two counts of obtaining property by false pretense.

Seems she pawned a 46-inch TV at Hickory Pawn and Gun on August 18, 2010 and on September 7, she pawned a power washer.

The indictments state she, “unlawfully, willfully and feloniously did knowingly and designedly with the intent to cheat and defraud” money from the pawn shop, and that it was “calculated to deceive and did deceive.”

What is really impressive with these latest indictments is it brings her grand total to eight felonies!

Catawba County
– 1 counts of second-degree murder
– 1 count of bigamy
– 2 counts of obtaining property by false pretense

Caldwell County
– 2 counts of financial identity fraud
– 2 counts of obtaining property by false pretenses

It’s apparent that Ms. Baker is a career criminal.  How many more indictments may be handed down?

Scott Reilly, Baker’s appointed attorney has said he plans to ask for a change of venue.

“I can’t imagine her getting a fair trial in this area, and I can’t think of an area around here where she could get a fair trial.”

Adam Baker still denies any wrongdoing in the death of his daughter.

    Elisa Baker doesn’t quite “get” the fact that all the stuff she rents doesn’t belong to her! As for a change of venue, I would wonder how many counties she’s be blocked from using because she’s known to have committed crimes in them!

    She is such a low life. She preys on men in other countries as well as those in her own state, she lies, cheats, and steals. Oh, and she murdered a helpless child as well.

    Pure evil.
