Casey Anthony Party Invitations

07/04/2010

There seems to be a great deal of confusion as to who the heck made the cut and got an invite to the party!  So why the new blog entry?  Just to let you know I’m as confused as everyone else, lol!

The latest filing with the court lists the following witnesses:

Dr. Kenneth Furton – Cadaver dog expert

Dr. Scott Fairgrieve – Forensic Anthropologist

Dr. Jane Bock – Plant expert

Dr. Timothy Huntington – Forensic entomology

Laura Buchanan – of TES controversy

Jill Kerley – Kronk ex-wife

Brandon Sparks – Kronk son

Crystal Sparks – Kronk ex-wife

WESH reported, “Attorneys for Casey Anthony filed a new list of witnesses on Thursday who will testify on behalf of her defense.”

Four of the eight names on the list are expert witnesses. “Hornsby said the list looks minimal since Anthony declared indigency.”

WFTV’s video may actually say the Anthony’s are not on the list and I misheard it as they were on the list and that added to the WESH story of a total of 8 witnesses just worked out in my head!

So, remove the ‘happy family’ and replace them with Laura Buchanan – major credibility problems – as well as Brandon and Crystal Sparks.

A kind reader, Thinker (thanks much), put a lot of effort into sending me a very extensive list – post # 8 that includes defense witnesses that were on the 2008 list as well as the new list!

The document filed 6/30/10 reads AMENDED DEFENSE WITNESS LIST and states…discloses the following names and addresses of all persons known to the defense to have information which may be relevant to any offense charged, or any defense thereto.

This begs the question, is the latest list the new, true, and complete list since Casey’s indigency was declared?  Or, is this a supplemental list and titled incorrectly by the defense?

I feel the defense, from the beginning, was working under delusions of grandeur and when the reality of the empty coffers set in so did some common sense, maybe!

Now, I can make an assumption and I might be totally off base and I also see where there is a ton of room for interpretation, but I’m going out on a limb and saying the new and improved list is the actual reality of what the defense will proffer!

What do I know?  I’m just a blogger!

    donchais,
I agree this is so confusing!!! LOL
In my blogger opinion (LOL) I believe this is a Supplemental Witness List which we may add the paid witness dated of Nov 20, 2008 to your list above:
    1. Larry E. Daniel, Guardian Digital Forensics
    2. Dr. Larry Kobilinsky
    3. Dr. Henry Lee
That would make a list of 11, and if we add the 3 Stooges, that would be 14 witness.
Who would like to make some money and be added to KC’s witness list? Who else volunteers??? Did I hear Joy Wray and Holly Gagne??? LOL
That would be my guess, donchais. Maybe we will see more expert witnesses and some looney fan of KC and Cindy. I believe Mallory will make the list since she wouldn’t dare to go against Cindy, would she? *wink wink*

A light bulb just lit in the back of my brain. Didn’t the defense also include the prosecution witness list as well as their own specific witnesses?

What? I’m supposed to think on a National Holiday?

They sure did, but I think they got ‘spanked’ for it.

They listed it as “The Defense hereby incorporates the entire State’s Witness List by reference.”

You’re right. They had to re-submit for a technical reason. But, it’s a national holiday and my brain is not cooking like normal!

Does anyone know if it is true that Joy Wray’s children were removed by child services?

Dr. Larry Kobilinsky was in Denver a couple of months back and a lawyer friend of mine talked to him. And he stated that Kobilinsky will not be testifying.

And it is normal for the defense to list all witness from the state. This allows them to call them if the state does not.

    Christine :

Does anyone know if it is true that Joy Wray’s children were removed by child services?

If true, that’s sad, but not sure how that relates to this entry.

hello to all is that the defense list?there is sure a problem now.all the defense did was jump up and down for deposition and now its what the state calls then the defense will cross examine whoever the state does now something is wrong with this information.where the hell does baez think he is going?this explains why they have not had a witness list because they just want what the state has to cross examine am l right folks?someone please get back to me.why ???????????????????????

What I can’t figure out is why Baez would want to put Cindy on the stand. Cindy has proven to contradict herself and lie, what possible good can she do for Casey? We know there was no job at Universal, no Zanny, and that pizza does not smell like decomp.

Casey Anthony: Motions, motions, and more motions!
    UPDATE! January 29, 2009
    http://sprocket-trials.blogspot.com/2009/01/casey-anthony-motions-motions-and-more.html
    *Snip*
“State of Florida’s Motion to Strike Defense Witness List This motion, originally filed by the State on December 9, states,

On November 20, 2008, the defendant files a document titled Defense Witness List listing three (3) witnesses under “Category A: and otherwise incorporating “the entire State’s Witness List by reference.”

The motion goes on to cite case law to support the motion. By failing to provide a list of witnesses to the prosecution, they are hindering the ability of the prosecution to depose these people.”

    doncahis,
What did you make of Lee and Cindy being subpoenaed? Well, I won’t miss that hearing. Cindy hates Mr. Ashton as we have read in the jail letters sent by Cindy. We will also get to see “Lee giggly boy” on the hot seat. That’s a preview of what’s coming. How do you think Cindy will behave?

    FRG

In my wildest imagination, I wouldn’t even try to guess how Cindy will behave especially after seeing her at the Morgan & Morgan depo!

This ought to be one humdinger of a hearing!!!

    I’ll bring the popcorn, lol.

    donchais,
It will be a hearing to remember…
And I will bring “pizza”. *wink wink*
