Joran van der Sloot Sentenced

van der Sloot will spend the next 28 years languishing in a Peruvian prison for the May 30, 2010, brutal beating and death of Stephany Flores.

As he was sentenced, van der Sloot look shaky and began sweating profusely!  It was pretty satisfying to see him so uncomfortable and undone.

We’ll see how smug and cocky he is if he survives and is then extradited to face charges in the U.S.

This is not a person who should be loose in civilized society!

Sadly, in other news, Natalee Holloway was legally declared dead yesterday.

I hope Joran gets put in general population; he can get out in 14 years for good behavior, doubt he can be good that long.

    Hey Barb2!

After sentencing, van der sloot was immediately moved to high-security Piedras Gordas prison – a far cry from the cake-walk he had at Castro Castro! Piedras Gordas houses local crime bosses and terrorism convicts – some are from the brutal Shining Path guerrillas. The move was ordered partly based on the Flores’ family complaints that van der sloot enjoyed a flat-screen television, internet access and a cell phone while incarcerated in Castro Castro.

Like you, I sincerely doubt he can be a ‘good boy’!!!

I have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed watching the sentencing. Normal smug Joran sure sweated gallons as the court clerk read the findings. When the actual crime was described, he couldn’t even look up. His expression upon delivery of the 28 year sentence was well worth the wait.

I’m glad to hear he in Piedras Gordas. Even if allowed to take all his goodies with him, the only value they would have to him is to buy himself time. Here’s hoping he’s not going to be in protective custody now that he has been sentenced. If he is, I hope his life is miserable.

From what I read, for the time being he will be held in a cell by himself so the prison can better control him and supposedly keep the toys from coming in. Stephany’s dad and lawyer are providing the court with photos of the toys van der Sloot had in his cell at Castro Castro.

Perhaps we should start a pool as to how long before he gets into some kind of trouble, lol.

Curious timing on the court deciding to issue ‘death’ ruling on Natalie and the Peruvian court’s ruling on van der Sloot… they are tied together, at least in the Universe’s perception, if not ours, it seems.

I doubt very much that Sloot will survive his sentence in Peru. He looks ill, and has not the attitude of a survivor, IMO – not that I have any desire one way or the other for him.

Not really curious…Dave Holloway started the court proceeding a while back. He has paid insurance and contributed to her college fund which now should benefit his son. Beth fought this and has now accepted…so all is well!

Will van der Sloot survive? Depends on his own behavior I guess!

Have you heard/seen this video about Joran’s “angel” who is paying his legal bills?

I saw it for the first time today and about fell off my chair. The woman is bat-dung crazy.
