Folks, when you hit reply to a lengthy post, you have the ability to (use your cursor, highlight and hit delete) remove much of the comment you are replying to. Just erase all but a few lines and then type (snipped for space) and proceed with your question or response.

Saves a whole lot of space and doesn’t choke up the blog so much!

Feel free to let me know if this is doable for all of you!

Dr. Lillian Glass (body language expert) says she sees that
Wurmy really does NOT like Jodi.
We surely can’t say he’s getting thru this trial as quick as possible, though.
Don’t think he will be racking up new clients from this high profile case. IMO….

I listened to Websleuths during the Anthony trial, thanks for reminding me of the show!
I found Dr. Glass’ read on JA and psychos in general fascinating,

What happened with Napolian? I am wondering if she kill him too. She should also be charged with animal cruelty. If he survived the atfack, she left him without food and water for 5 days?

    Marilyn N :
Here is a 48 Hours episode in which Juan Martinez got Bryan Stewart aka Rick Valentini
convicted. THere was no body, blood, etc. Titled: The Stranger Beside Me.
    http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50137943n

Marilyn – Thank you so much for the link to 48 Hours. I just watched it and it is truly scary. I couldn’t believe the similarities between Bryan Stewart/Martini and JA. The minute he took the witness stand and put his arms up on the ledge, like he was having a beer and watching tv at a sports bar, I thought OMG he’s another psychopath! Plus, when JM talked about his gf walking through the door, he hesitated a smidgen too long. Did you also notice how he corrected both attorneys? If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck…………………

I am so glad that I am not bringing up a young child in this world today. It is way too scary!! This is another reason why I won’t use FB. People give away far too much personal information over the internet and once it’s there, it’s there forever. I have always felt that parents who post their children’s photos and daily activities just creates a gold mine for pedophiles. I won’t even do banking on the internet, only telephone banking. I just know that when I graduated from university I worked at the head office of a national financial institution for many years and I remember something I learned in a related course I was taking. Anything that can be created can be recreated. These days anything created on the internet can be hacked. I know that I’m in the minority with my feelings but I would rather be safe than sorry.

As donchais points out so succinctly “sometimes, there are monsters walking amongst us”.

As for JM, I seriously want to jump his bones!:-) OMG I can’t believe I just typed that but it’s true!!!

in answer to the question about Napoleon. HLN was just answering the same question. They said that Napoleon was on the main floor and the room mate said that the dog couldn’t get upstairs because someone had put the dog gate up at the bottom of the stairs. So, the room mates must have been home for some time before knowing that Travis was dead. If they lived down stairs they would have no reason to go upstairs. That’s my interpretation, anyway.

MMD: heh! I am truly thankful to have found a place for people like me. One that’s nice and not padded! 🙂

Donchais, I think I was thinking of Victor Arias, the guy from Costa Rica. I did a little searching and some people thought he actually did commit suicide (unlike Bobby who just tried, right?), but I can’t find anything to back that up. There’s a photo JA entitled “Mario, Me, Bobby, and Victor chillin in Utah” and I wonder if it’s the same Victor. Looks to be alive in the photo. But I can’t say for certain she didn’t have him stuffed at the taxidermist.

Can you imagine if Jodi Arias actually told the truth when the jurors asked these questions:

Q-What is your definition of a skank?
A-Me. I freakin’ love freaky sex.

Q-Why did you lie to the police?
A- I wanted to get away with murder.

Q-Why did you say: No jury will convict me?
A- Because I am beautiful, sexy and can talk my way out of anything.

Q- Would you have decided to tell the truth if the cops hadn’t arrested you?
    A-Hell no.

Q-How do you decide when to tell the truth and when to lie?
A- I lie when it benefits me and tell the truth when it benefits me.

Q- Why did you admit to killing Travis after lying about it for years?
A-Nobody believed my Ninja story so I had to make up a new one.

Q-Why did you bring up the pedophile and sexual abuse now?
A-You mean why did I make it up? I thought you’d set me free and give me a medal for ridding the world of a disgusting man.

Q- Did you load, remove the safety and cock the gun?
A-Of course. My grandpa taught me how to use that gun when I was a kid.

Q- Why are you wearing glasses?
A-To make me look smart and innocent.

Q- Why should we believe you now?
A-You shouldn’t because I am a pathological liar and a cold blooded murder.

Sorry donchais, these deserved to be reprinted they are so good!!!! According to the body language expert on HLN the only time that JA told the truth was when she said “I honestly don’t know how to answer that question” when asked if she would have told the truth if she hadn’t been arrested.

Pretty pathetic excuse for a human being!

Donchais – You must be overwhelmed with all the responses. Glad you opened a new site. Thanks.

MMD – You crack me up with your comments . . . need a good chuckle. Yes, JM is fabulous! Hah, hah.

The links from all of you are great – MMD, Marilyn N, Chris Stark’s links are a few from the top of my head – sorry for the ones I didn’t mention.

I did a recap of some of the old transcripts and videos from Day 1, was amazed how long ago and what and who were there. OMG, can’t believe it’s been this long. The input from the beginning and now are quite different in many aspects. The defense must be sh_ _ing in their pants, along with Arias (not, sure about that “thing”) if they’re watching. According to HLN, they are. The friend of Travis is supposedly a new witness for the defense after showing those videos of Travis shooting at the range. Not sure if they will call him as yet. But, our Martinez, we all know will have some very, very interesting bombshells – as the commentators always say.

Found the article from Martinez/Andriano trial, 2004. She claimed the same crap, self defense. Stabbed the husband in the neck, beat and poisoned him. Poor man was terminally ill, goes on and on. That scumbag is awaiting the needle due to JM’s expertise. I have full confidence in him. But, on the other hand, unfortunately I keep going back to the Florida case and look what happened. Please, jurors have more common sense!!!

Watched that link from Marilyn N- Stewart trial-TY. Watching JM’s style of cross is the same for any of the witnesses. So anyone that thinks he’s harsh with this trial, not true – this is JM all the way. The one striking thing that Stewart said in an interview, was “I’ve never killed anyone before,” sound familiar? Another liar to add to the books.

The jurors are quite interesting from Donchais’s first-hand contact – loved it.

Have so many more thoughts, will wait and read more feedback from you guys.

Donchais – so appreciate your hard work and putting up with all of us – you’re the best!
This site is so civil as opposed to the other crackpot ones, which I would never respond to.

Dr. Lillian Glass (body language expert) says she sees that
Wurmy really does NOT like Jodi.

That is obvious from his expressions. Wurmi tried to withdraw twice in 2011 when Jodi forged the pedophile letters. The judge wouldn’t let him go so he is stuck with her. Wurmi knows Jodi is a lying sociopath and that Travis is not a pedophile or abuser. Wurmi represents pedophiles and he knows Travis does not fit the profile.

The similiarities of the Travis Alexander shower poses and the Janet Lee character shower poses in Psycho are chilling. I bet like Tony Perkins’ character Jodi the Slasher never said a word but just kept stabbing until she could get Travis on the floor so she could slit his throat. As he bled out, she either stomped or beat his feet with a bat. This monster must be put to death. Or she will escape and kill again.

The chicken wing and the constant pulling up of his pants truly do drive me nuts. What I really want to do though is, when he is leaning back in his chair with his massive gut hanging out, reach through the screen and just give a very slight push so he goes ass over tea kettle!! Travis Alexander had three brothers, Gary, Greg and Steven and four sisters, Tanisha, Samantha, Hilary and Allie.

His grandmother, Norma Sarvey, who raised him, died in 2012, knowing her grandson’s murderer was in jail but didn’t live long enough to see her convicted. At least she was spared the heartbreak of hearing her grandson’s killer spouting filth and lies about him.

Mrs. Sarvey knew her grandson was loving, caring and would do anything for anyone and was not capable of harming a woman or children.

12 jurors, 6 alternates in case of drop outs. when testiphony done, lottery will decide who makes the final court for the original 12…Alternates will still be held back in case a juror has to drop or gets the boot for bad behavior. There’s 12 jurors and six alternates. No one knows who are actually on the jury until the case is over. Only the jurors are allowed to deliberate. The alternates are on stand by in case a juror can’t serve for some reason.

Yeah, maybe that was her “Weekend At Bernie’s” role. Do y’all think that photo must have been taken after her role in “Psycho?” (Creeps me out to think how many other roles she’s acted out. Incomprehensible.)

Okay, so deprived-trial-person here suddenly recalled the Melanie McGuire trial. I should imagine most of you fellow trial junkies remember that one. I think it’s because of her ‘shower activity’ that I thought of her – and of course as slow as I am, someone here has probably already made the comparison. Anyway, I found the following show online. It was apparently a short-lived series on the Discovery Channel entitled “Deadly Affairs.” (The host is Susan Lucci.) They did a nicely produced segment imho on the story of MM. Thought you all might like a little “hit” (only in joking reference to us being trial junkies, okay…?) to keep you going: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z01p1WpCcdM&playnext=1&list=PLr54MAvs4DllqnOx9WG9H9UWWPlbmc4ha&feature=results_video

This case is close to my heart because I have a son who is much like Travis, a sensitive, caring, loving man who believes the good in everyone. My son married a sociopath. We all saw through her but he couldn’t. We finally convince him to divorce her after eight years of her being possessive, jealous and violent. Sociopaths can manipulate the system. She retaliated by accusing him of everything under the sun to keep him away from his children. He fought it for many years and finally got custody. Every day I am worried I am going to get a call that my son is dead at the hands of that sociopath.

About the receipt at Walmart; Walmart’s a big company, they do lose things, but run a pretty tight ship. I could see not having a receipt for an item sold (maybe a Walmart employee takes 10.00 cash and doesn’t ring something up) but when you return something to Walmart, it’s a Federal process, and the employee giving you back Walmart’s money is damn sure going to record it on their register so he/she is not short at the end of the shift.

    donchais :
From the wonderful lady who goes to court each day (she has become an honorary member of Travis’s family and sits behind them everyday)…her description of the jurors:
1.Church Lady- Mid 50′s, short hair, no make-up, glasses.
This lady looks absolutely disgusted the whole time. I never once saw her look in the direction of JA. Not ONCE. She either stares straight forward or looks at JM.
2.Trump-Guy in 40′s, lots of hair, car salesman look.
I called this guy “Comb Over” he had his head resting on his hand almost the whole time. He also never looks at JA. He seemed to be paying attention, but also seemed bored.
3.Housewife-She is a big lady (tall and heavy set, not obese) with a very sweet face, no make-up.
Interesting different view today. I called her the “Angry Neighbor Lady” Lol. I wrote that she follows along, but has a constant “sour puss”. I don’t know if it’s just “her look” or what, but she seemed to be frowning every time I looked at her.
4.Grandpa-Bald, sweet faced older man that looks like my grandpa.
He does have a sweet face and seems the “calm” type.
5.Tricolor-Early 30′s, short, stylish haircut with three colors, reminds me of one of my hairstylists.
She probably gave more facial expressions than any of the others. She is very engaged and took a fair amount of notes.
6.Nancy-Lady in her 50′s, lovely face, reminds me of Nancy Reagan with glasses, short. She was the only one I saw look at Jodi when the jury first walked in. She took a lot of notes.
7.Paul Rudd-Younger guy, mid-late 20′s with spiky hair, sweat jacket, looks like the actor Paul Rudd.
8.The CEO-Good looking man, mid 50′s with goatee. Can see him being the jury foreman.
9.Willy-Old hippy with long white ponytail, thin, small build.
This guy looked PIZZED the whole time. He seemed to be staring towards the media lady or just into the corner. I only saw him look at JM or JA maybe once.
10.Barb-Female, 40′s, has the “sexy librarian” look, wearing a form fitting sweater, slender build and voluptuous. I could tell she was taking notes quite a bit.
11.Poquito-Little Mexican guy (maybe 5’3) with long graduated pony tail, lots of facial hair and piercings.
12.Neil-Early 50′s high forehead, glasses, looks very nervous and turns red easily.
13.The Wrestler-Younger good looking guy, large build.
    14.Old potsmoking CPA
He swiveled in his chair a lot and fell asleep at least twice. He was also slouched down in his chair.
15.Elderly Man-This man is definitely the oldest juror, he occasionally uses the headphones to listen to the proceedings that Jodie’s Auntie uses.
16.Maureen-Red haired, glasses (the red might be too red to be a natural ginger) If I had to guess one Mormon on the jury, it would be her.
She took a lot of notes and had a “polished” look to her. She had her whole body turned facing Jodi. I barely saw her look at JM.
17.Pony Tail-Young girl, pony tail, plain, pony tail and sweats.
She took a lot of notes.
18.The Artist-Bald, attractive, glasses, 50′s-60′s, large build, holds his notebook on a binder as if he’s going to sketch. He looks around the gallery a lot. This guy also had a very intense gaze. He took some notes. He rubbed his face and tapped his fingers to his lips a lot.

I made a visual using these notes – just for fun 🙂

Awesome job Chrissie. I can see you put a lot of thought for this and it is funny.

I do take issue with the fact you showed the actual Donald Trump as is. Lord help the poor man, he’s actually delusional enought that he thinks his wives marry him for love. LOL

I would have preferred him with a dyed piece of orange fur hanging over his forehead to match his orange spray tan complete with the white rings around his eyes. Plus he needed his mouth twisted in that gawd awful sneer he has when he is being his bombastic self and insulting someone (anyone who doesn’t worship at his feet) LOL

MMD re: post #59, MMD, thank you. I want justice for Travis because I understand how he got involved with Jodi Arias since I’ve seen my son go through hell with a sociopath. I know how nice, sweet and innocent female sociopaths come on and hide their evil side. My son’s ex wife also joined the LDS church to get him to marry her. My son walked away every time she started her jealous rants and she would pound him on the shoulders and back. Since he is bigger and stronger than her, the cops wouldn’t take it seriously when the neighbors called the cops when they witnessed her following him down the driveway to his car pounding on him. If my son had pounded on her arms and back, he would have been arrested.

Certain things jump out at me like Travis texting Jodi that he was trying to save his house, run his own business and he didn’t have time for her bullcrap and lies. Our son used to say repeatedly to his jealous ex, “I have a business to run, a mortgage to pay, kids to feed and clothes and I don’t have time for this nonsense.” When Jodi said she thought Travis was going to Cancun with “the babysitter,” I remembered my son’s wife accusing him of sleeping with the babysitter – a 60 year old grandmother who lived next door. An irrational illogical crazy ex girlfriend will even be jealous of a babysitter.

His ex lives in the same town. They live in another state. I learned you can’t keep your children safe. You just have to pray nothing happens to them. That’s what I do.

Damn, I wish I could figure out how to put these on a split screen. Anyway, juror
#17. I forgot to say that I think that it is appalling that she has such little regard for the judicial system that she can’t be bothered to dress appropriately!! I can see being dressed comfortably because they have long days but imo that is disrespectful

On the plus side, it could show that she has such total disgust for JA, her testiphony and Wurmi that this is her way of showing it! Yeah, I think I like that reason better,:-)

The significance with the Wal-Mart receipt is that Jodi has a copy of the receipt for buying the third gas can but no receipt proving she returned the gas can. She claimed Wal-Mart gave her cash but no return receipt. The Wal-Mart policy is that they only give you cash back for a return if you show them a receipt and then sign a return receipt which they staple to the purchase receipt. There is a record for every purchase and return.

I don’t remember any mention of “skank” during the trial, but there must have been, or I’m sure the question wouldn’t have been allowed. (The question I’d love to ask: “Do you know the definition of ‘psychopath’?”) Did she just say, yes, she knew definition, or did she state it? I can’t believe that question got in!

Observer, my brother-in-law married a sociopath after my sister died, so I know what it’s like too. He refused to see who she really was until they finally divorced, but by that time, a lot of damage had unfortunately been done to my sister’s kids. This woman was (and is) their stepmother from when they were very young as my sister tragically died when they were small (two twin infants and a three and a half year old). It was a nightmare dealing for her– we had to fight tooth and nail just to see my sister’s kids three times a year– and I think it’s why people like Casey Anthony and Jodi Arias strike such a nerve in me!

Anyway, in one conversation, the Glass lady was asked, “IF Jodi gets convicted of 1st degree premeditation, what do you think her reaction will be?” She answered, “Jodi will lose it, and be devistated, will carry on hysterically because she TRULY believes she has the jury on her side!! In her mind, she truly believes they believe her every word, so in her reaction, she will just see everything blow up in her face, and she will be so shocked!!!! Gosh I can’t wait till then!!!! I posted this on the previous comment page that closed, so I am reposting.

I have been a paralegal in Chicago, for 29 years. My father was an Illinois prosecutor (a great one at that:). I have been following the State vs Jodi Arias since shortly after her arrest when I saw her on Inside Edition. I’m very impressed by Juan Martinez, he is skillfully weaving his case, and I expect an extraordinary closing. And pray, a Murder 1 conviction, DP granted.
Something has been bothering me, I do not understand how she cleaned herself up before arriving at her “alibi” in Utah? JA said she “noticed” blood on her hands (conveniently before reaching the checkpoint near the Hoover Dam). So, she went to her trunk and got out the Costco water, and rinsed her hands. Given the crime scene photos, and autopsy diagrams, JA would be HEAD TO TOE blood. Where did she shower? Or, more disturbing yet, was she dressed in a hazmat styled jumpsuit? The last photo taken of Mr. Alexander haunts me to my core, I do NOT think he posed for that photo (or any other that day) he looks as though he is under tremendous distress, red eyed, and terrified.
    Thoughts?

    Can’t wait for JM tomorrow!

Thank you all for your support. This trial is actually therapeutic for me because Martinez is going to take a cold blooded murderer off the streets and save other young men who are someone else’s sons from a fate like Travis Alexander.

Remember right after stabbing Travis 29 times, slitting his throat and shooting him in the head, Jodi Aris buys a 9 mm gun, ammunition and two knives, which she hides in a rental car and is trying to flee when cops, who have her under surveillance, arrest her.

Did she get so much power from stomping, stabbing and shooting Travis that she was going on a rampage to kill other men who had rejected her?

Female sociopaths, who only make up 1 per cent of the population, are especially dangerous because they are cold blooded rattlesnakes disguised as warm, cuddly little kittens and you never know when they are going to strike.

Jodi Arias was a discipline problem as a child. She wants us to believe her parents suddenly turned mean when she was seven and her mother carried a wooden spoon in her purse and her father resorted to using a belt? I think it was Jodi Arias that turned mean, which is one of the traits of the sociopath, and her parents didn’t know how else to deal with her except to beat the evil out of her.

I don’t believe in corporal punishment but it would be frustrating to deal with a sociopathic child who paid no attention to the word “No.”

Remember how Jodi admitted she kept calling Bobby even though he hung up on her repeatedly until she got him back.

When Travis broke up with her in 2007, she moved to Mesa, crawled through his doggy door, hid in his closet, followed him around on dates, slashed his tires, hacked into his bank account and Facebook, sent anonymous threatening emails to his girlfriends and in the end slaughtered him.

All because she won’t tolerate anyone saying no to her.

Thanks Lisa M for sharing your story about losing your sister to a tragic death and her children having a sociopath for a stepmother. I know how frustrating it was for us to try to see our grandchildren after the divorce. The sociopath even had the nerve to say we had no rights to “her children.” She told them they no longer had a father and grandparents. Now he has custody, they cling to us dearly when they visit.

As for where JA cleaned up, I have always felt that she showered over Travis. That way she was able to clean up herself, Travis and the shower as well. There is no way that she could have left that house and closed doors, etc. with blood on her hands without transference. At the very least she would have gotten blood somewhere on her vehicle. Now, that is hard core gruesome but with JA, nothing would surprise me. This was a well planned, well thought out and organized slaughter.

I have no proof. This is just my opinion. All I know is that she had to be clean before she left that house.

Jodi testified that Travis jokingly called her a skank but it hurt her feelings. When the juror asked her what her definition was of a skank, she replied, “a derogatory word for a woman.”

Don’t forget that she said that it was a ‘pejorative comment’ as well. Gotta make sure she gets in all those big words so that she can dazzle the jury. After all, in her mind they are probably just common folk. (sarcasm intended lol)

Bet you’d never guess how I really feel about him? Other than that, I really appreciate the work you put into this!!!!!!

MMD: I narrowed it down to 3 for the Trump, one of them was with the sneer but I selected this one as his mouth was twisted – I couldn’t bear to look at a regular shot of him for that period of time – lol

Damn, I wish I could figure out how to put these on a split screen.
Best way to do that is to have 2 browsers open at once if you right click on the browser icon in your task bar (usually at the bottom of the page) you will have the option to open a new window. Then you can resize them down – depending on your operating system you may be able to lock them into place by dragging them by the top and they click into place on either side of the screen. Hope this makes sense and helps 🙂

Sitting, waiting, and praying that JM has one stellar day tomorrow! I also hope that he obliterates JA’s claims that TA was a pedophile. Beacause not only do I want JA to get the needle, I want Travis Alexander’s reputation restored. The police found NO child pornography searches on Travis’s computer/ hard drive. The link for the “slueths” radio talk show that had Holly Hughes, Katy Koolaidy, and the woman, the one who can read body language, I forget her first name…Glass is her last name. I believe you know which link I’m talking about. Also, Holly Hughes said she could be convicted of a lesser charge, but she doubts it…Geesh, I certainly hope the hell not!!! 1st degree, DP baby!! C’mon jury!!!!!

It’s Dr. Lillian Glass, I listened to that too and loved her warning to beware of the soft spoken people! Also Katy Koolaidy, (who has been observing the jury in the courtroom) stated that although JA is making eye contact with the jurors none of them are making eye contact with her. She also stated that the jurors were half asleep when Nurmi was rambling on but that they all sat up with their notebooks as soon as Juan started up. I think Jodi Arias shot Travis in the head after she stabbed him to death to make it look like there were two intruders.

When Flores said her bloody fingerprints, hair and naked pictures of her put her at the scene at the time of the murder, she said a woman with a knife and a man with a gun
were there to kill Travis and she was merely a witness.

If she stuck with that story, the jury could interpret it as a confession that she and a male conspired to kill Travis. That’s premeditation.

So in 2011 she concocted the phony story where she was a victim of a violent sexual deviant and he made her hack him to death.

In her new story, she’s not responsible for anything that happened on June 4. All she can remember is what she claims Travis did. Not what she did.

According to her, Travis brought a knife from the butcher block to the bathroom to cut a rope, Travis left a loaded cocked gun with the safety off on a closet shelf, Travis body slammed her, chased her and tackled her and the gun went off. Then she blacks out and wakes up driving in the desert.

In Jodi’s twisted mind, it’s all Travis’ fault that she stabbed him 29 times in the back, neck, belly and chest, slit his throat, stomped on his feet and shot him in the head.

It’s The Devil Made Me Do It defense.

When couples get married in the LDS Temple, they are married for all eternity. To be married in the temple, you are supposed to be pure of body and mind. Maybe, in her own twisted mind, killing Travis and washing off the sex and blood from both of their bodies made Travis hers for all eternity. Who knows how a psycho’s mind works?

When she surprised him by showing up, he probably told her to leave. She said in her soft spoken little girl voice she realized it was over and promised him she’d leave him alone if he would just make love to her one more time, take videos of them having sex and let her take a Calvin Klein photo shoot of him in the shower. I think she was re-creating the scene from the movie Psycho by stabbing him to death.

Anonymous: Mimi Hall was the 1st prosecution witness. Testimony on Jan 2nd.

Donchais – I had totally forgotten about that excellent and truly heartbreaking documentary. It’s hard to fathom how the grandparents live with such all-encompassing loss. Losing their only child (the Dr) and their beloved darling Zachary.

Observer & Lisa M – So sorry that you both have direct familial experience with such predators. There’s only one solution for dealing with a sociopath: Get him or her completely out of your life for good. But as both of you know many situations are more complicated than that. When having to deal with divorce or child custody, expect it to be nasty. It’s not that the sociopath actually cares about the spouse or grandparents or the kids. It’s just that she wants to win, and make everyone’s life miserable in the process. When there are children involved it gets infinitely more complicated and often impossible to get them completely out of your life.

The female sociopaths have no difficulty in using the children as pawns or objects to try to continue to manipulate the man. They are masters of parental alienation. They thrive on creating constant chaos and often it takes years if ever for the courts to sever parental custody and award sole custody to the stable, attentive and loving parent. I can only imagine that it’s like an on-going nightmare.

I agree, I think that the reason why there is very little known about female sociopaths is because in the past women have always been known as demure, sweet, and gentle. It was hard to fathom a woman having a headless and violent demeanor. Now that more people are starting to find that women are just as cruel as men I think the statistics on sociopathic women will soon begin to increase.

And when the state refused her plea and the case moved forward as premeditated first degree, she filed a motion to preclude any mention of her original request for the plea deal. I just made the mistake of rewatching The 1st cross done by JM (where JA was wearing the navy blazer w/ white piping “lil innocent sailor girl outfit!”). AAAAARGH! It’s so frustrating watching her be so SMUG and so RIGHTEOUS! She is clearly enjoying herself! And delights in frustrating the @*#! out of Mr Martinez! The way she contradicts every single point, and adds words (and endless dialogue) to questions that are simple yes or no questions. Uggggh!

The more I read, the more I see, the more I hear, the more I believe she-devil had this cunning plan in the works ever since TA sent her the “get out of my life you are poison” letter. This was far from a last minute plan to slaughter TA. When this all started, I believed she hatched her evil the week before her road trip (beginning with the staged burglary at her GG home). Travis did NOT ask her to visit Mesa, I’m confident that calls/ texts to him from the road, were nothing but harassment calls. She showed up, with the intent to give him one last chance to change his mind about Cancun, and when she realized that no amount of kinky play was going to dissuade his plan to bring the other girl, she pretended to leave- Then let herself back in when he was in the shower, and she surprise attacked him. Thus the last photo of his face… That picture to me, illustrates a man under heavy duress and filled with fear.

Does anyone think it’s possible that she had help from her Wicca practicing ex, Matt M? Was she strong enough to drag Travis’s 180+ LB body by herself? I think pure rage and adrenaline could. But I’m not discounting the possibility of MM being an accomplice.

Using a gun and a knife, was clearly done with the attemp to throw off law enforcement, trying to make it look like 2 people did a home invasion style murder.

Put the needle in her arm, please!

Forgive the ramblings and suppositions, I’m all worked up… I think I need a margarita (hope I don’t accidentally cut my finger!)

I’m sure that if the cops had had any indication that she had attempted to clean up in the downstairs that they would have used luminol and we would know that. In fact, there’s testimony that no blood found downstairs except for small smears on washer/dryer.

Good morning…It’s a Juanderful day in the neighborhood!

One thing about JA’s clean-up, after the murder, has me wondering – she testified that she was in his office and cleaned herself up in the bathroom across from the office. My opinion is that she was in the office on his computer while he slept, she also left the check she had brought with her for two car payments on his desk. It would be interesting to know whose fingerprints were on that check.

Would there not be DNA evidence in that bathroom, at the very least, a hair? Did that bathroom have a shower? I wonder if she showered in that bathroom and then cleaned it. Not that I would put it past her to shower over Travis’ body, but something about her office story has my radar pinging!

Thank you, Donchais for creating a place for us to gather and discuss this trial. I can’t wait to see what JM has in store for her today!

Family of law, I’m sure the jury noticed she was smug, righteous and argumentative with Martinez and even had the nerve to lie to them and say she was shaking in her boots every time Martinez spoke.

I agree Jodie planned the murder but from what I’ve learned of stalkers, rejection turns love to hate and once they make up their mind to kill their lover, nothing the lover says will change their mind. When she met Ryan Burns, she had decided to kill Travis and move on. I am convince when Travis saw her in his house, he told her to leave and she promised him to do the sex poses and shower scenes and she would leave him alone forever.

That’s why he had the uncomfortable look in the shower. He just wanted her to get the photo shoot over and be out of his life forever. He had no idea she was setting him up for a re-creation of the murder with a knife scene from psych “Psycho”starring Jodi as Norman Bates. I bet she didn’t say a word as she stabbed him, slit his throat and shot him in the head. Psychopaths are cold, calculating and deadly.

No, I don’t think Matt helped her in anyway. If he did, he would have lied for her and corroborated her choking story. When he didn’t, she would have retaliated and blamed the killing on him. She flooded the bathroom floor with water so she could drag the body back to the shower.

Nancy, Thank u for your kind words! U couldn’t be more right about that. If you have a choice the only thing you can do to deal with a sociopath is have nothing to do with them if you have that choice. I have always limited my contact with the woman I mentioned before and thankfully haven’t had to have contact with her since my nieces became adults– the youngest are 21 now. You have to run away from these people if you have any choice whatsoever!!

Sociopaths and psychopaths wear masks and they can hide their hatred with murmurings of love. Jodi said she loved Travis when she murdered him and still does. Stabbing a human being 27 times, including a deep wound to the heart, slitting his throat and shooting him in the head is pure rage and hatred, not love.

My son called yesterday and said his sociopathic ex is still stalking him. Everywhere he goes, with or without the children, she just happens to be there picking up a loaf of bread, mailing a letter, buying presents for the kids. During the custody battle she hated him, now he has custody, she loves him and wants to be a family. Visitation orders mean nothing to her. She shows up with presents for the kids whenever she feels like it. He can’t get a protection order until she harms him. I just warn him to watch his back. Like Travis, he jokes about her killing him but I don’t think he believes a 5 foot 2 size 4 woman can kill him since he is 6 foot tall and 200 lbs.

When I told him what Jodi did to Travis, he said, “Mom you worry too much.”

Not sure why people here are in love with JM. He has got to be one of the least effective cross-examining assistant prosecutors I have ever seen in action. I mean… he is hammering HER VERSION into the jurors brains, and then just asking her if it’s “impossible”?? NO! Not the way to do it!! Infuriating, particularly because she is such an easy target! You do NOT ask questions on cross of a witness when you do not KNOW the witness’ answer BEFORE YOU ASK IT. This is CROSS-EXAMINATION 101. Ughhh. And WE KNOW you didn’t shoot him first, before you STABBED HIM 27 TIMES and SLASHEd HIS THROAT FROM EAR TO EAR– because BY THE TIME YOU SHOT HIM, IN THE FACE, HIS HEART HAD STOPPED PUMPING BLOOD. Isn’t that a FACT?

Who is to blame for this Judge’s lack of ability to get the trial flowing? Do they schedule her too much at the same time or does she schedule her own trials? This trial is pacing at 3 hours a day. Why is this continuing to occur? Why won’t someone, either prosecution or defense, complain.
I get ready to watch the trial until I have to go to work and I see 30 minutes of it daily. Today it just closed until 1:15. I have to be at work at 1:30. Way to go Judge.

Already in 30 minutes Juan Martinez has proven that it was impossible for the crime to have happened the way she told it because there was only 60 seconds between the pictures of Travis alive sitting in the shower and him lying on the floor covered in blood. He also got her to admit Travis nor her had the knife when she claims he was shot in the head and she it wasn’t in the bathroom so that she had to take time to find the knife and come back to him. That right there is premeditation, not self defense.

The battered woman’s syndrome specialists can’t save her now because the law does not allow a battered wife to kill her spouse in the way she describes. Even by her own bogus story, Travis is lying on the floor on his back with a bullet in his head when she goes looking for the knife.

If she wasn’t a psychopath she’d plead guilty right now and throw herself at the mercy of the court. But psychopaths have no fear or conscience so she will lie to the bitter end when she gets the needle or dies in prison and has her final blackout.

Martinez is brilliant because he is using her own story against her. She is convicting herself with her own words. She says the last image she has of Travis he is lying on his back with a bullet in his head. That is a powerful image. The medical examiner said Travis was already dead when he was shot because the brain didn’t believe. He also said the shot in the head would have killed him anyway. So Travis would have been dead as soon as he was shot so there would be no need to stab him 29 times, She also admitted Travis did not have the knife in his hand and the knife was not in the bathroom. So she is guilty no matter which story the juros believe

    Needing to vent….came here….
I’m glad I’m not the prosecutor in this case. It would take everything I had to keep the visualization of strangling JA at bay. She reminds me of a teenager where, as Judge Judy is want to say, you know they’re lying when they open their mouth. JA will say anything, regardless of how crazy it sounds, to try and save her own skin. Facts and logic be damned, she’s just like a defiant teen who will not back down even after having been beaten over the head so many times with reason and common sense. Not only is she not backing down, she’s still trying to hold her head high as she’s adding new lies constantly. Now she says Travis might have had the knife? Egad. I like the saying, ‘raising teenagers is like trying to nail jello to a tree;’ and with JA, arguing with her is like trying to blow out a light bulb. If any juror has raised teenagers as I have, I’d bet they will think the same way.
    …..feel better….thanks

When you left Yreka did you plan to swing by and see Travis?
Did you plan to have naked sex with Ryan when you got to Utah?
Did you think Ryan would like the Brazilian tush?
When did you have the Brazilian ?

I can’t count how many cross examinations I have done over the course of my ~2 decade legal career, but this is the most UNPREPARED I have ever seen a prosecutor.

You cannot just come up with an OUTLINE of topics to cover.
You have to put in a LOT of HOURS and CAREFULLY CRAFT your questions in order to CONTROL the witness and back her into the corner where you want to put her.

This is painful for me to watch.

I know a lot of you think he is the bee’s knees, but trust me, a LOT of great prosecutors could have put this murderer in the corner over and over and over again, and with ease.

I loved that Martinez ended his questioning for now by getting her to admit she put her finger on the trigger and shot him in the head and killed him. He is focusing on the gun because the gun proves premeditation and the defense experts will say he was shot first. The more she talks the more she gets herself in more hot water. She said before Travis told her the gun wasn’t loaded. She now says she saw him load it in December, Dave Hall, best friend of Travis, is going to testify in the rebuttal case that Travis didn’t own a gun because he borrowed his. I bet he will also say Travis would have bought a shotgun, not a .25 caliber if he bought a gun.

She just said she saw Travis load the gun in December but after the jury questioned her about many times she had seen Travis’ gun she said once when she found it, once when she was cleaning and then on June 4th. She forgot her LIE that she just testified to about him loading the gun. Busted!! Hope the jury caught that but I’m not sure if JM did. He is to good to have missed it, right?????

OMG. He KEEPS reiterating HER VERSION=(!!! JUAN!NONONONONO!

I get frustrated with Juan too. I think he lets her get away with too much because he can be one-tracked, and he gets flustered. He needs to slow down sometimes! I think eventually he gets her to where he wants to go, but he does get sidetracked by her. But on the other hand, she has her attorney objecting every time she gets in a tiny bit of trouble. I know, all trial attorneys have to deal with that, so that’s not an excuse. I think today, though, it was pretty easy to see through her nonresponsiveness– at least for the part of the trial I saw. She simply doesn’t want to commit to anything he asks her because she’s afraid of where he’s going with his question, and that seemed to be more obvious today than ever. I like when he brought up that now she was suggesting that it was the fault of the question, and not her answer, when she said something the jury asked her was a compound question. No, it wasn’t ! How is “why didn’t you call 911 when Travis ‘attacked’ you?” a compound question. Everything with her is a compound question. She must have gone to Catholic school! I was yelling at my TV when she said that, and I had to turn the channel so not sure what Juan got out of her after that! I liked how he attacked her Mormon credentials, though.

Not to say anything bad about JM, but wouldn’t you love to see Alan Jackson cross-examining this woman?!

Actually, I would love to see Nancy Grace cross-examine her! Just the way she raises her eyebrows and her expressions, also her pauses. It would be quite a show and I think she’d be quite a match for Jodi!

    Response to W.I.S.

I understand your frustration, and agree that your approach would have decimated her quickly. I’m the daughter of a former Chicago (Cook Co) prosecutor. And the grandaughter of a Judge (Chief of Chancery court) I’m not an attorney, but I have been a paralegal for nearly 30 years, and have assisted in the preparation of countless cases. That said, I believe there are as many “courtroom styles” as there are attorneys, I’ve seen it all! JM’s style is something I’m familiar with, he appears disorganized, even frazzled and overly emotional. But if he’s doing what I think he is- his rebuttal, and closing will tie all of this chaos together neatly.

The one thing I’ve never encountered in a courtroom in nearly 30 years, is a defendant like JA. Whether we want to admit it or not, she IS intelligent. JA is beyond manipulative, she has some type of borderline personality disorder that mental health professionals will be studying and writing papers on for the next 50 years!!!!!!

Yes they will. How ’bout a college course?

Even though JM’s disorganization can be irritating at times (my dad is an organized attorney), I sometimes think I would be acting the same way if I had to face her myriad of selves – especially the insolent one. She’s just so infuriating. I wonder how many people can relate to the frustration JM so openly shows? Who amongst us could remain calm, I ask, who?

there’s one thing that I must comment on
I do NOT believe that Jodi Arias is as intelligent as so many seem to think. Is this the act of an intelligent person really? Not in my opinion!
The evidence left in her wake left absolutely no doubt as to who did this crime. Smart? I don’t really agree with this !!
Just my .25 cents worth….I’ve known a few somewhat like her… calculating evil cruel bitch that’s all!!

  217. 03/14/2013 at 3:25 pm

I agree, she is not intelligent, just cunning and manipulative. She lacks insight even though she tries to fake it. If she turns off the jury as much as she does me, she will be convicted and sentenced to death.

  218. 03/14/2013 at 3:31 pm

She said she saw gun 3 times. 1. When she discovered it. 2. When she was cleaning closet. 3. June 4th. Am I correct that her original testimony says she discovered it when she was cleaning closet? That would be 2 times. She screwed up again.

What a day! Everyone has great ideas about the possible scenario at Travis’s on what Jodi may have done. It is truly hard to imagine for the normal person. Jodi’s statement,” I don’t know I’ve never killed anyone before”, is one that’s reported to have been said by other
    murderers in similar situations.
I want to add that JM has an awesome conviction rate so lets pray it stays that way. we must keep in mind that JM also picked those jury members not only the defense! The fact that Wormi may NOT like her could yet turn out to be a GOOD thing, u never know. he looks like he’s winding down or is he just aware how tired the jury is of him and decided to give them

I forgot ONE thing: The big question today from a few of the gals was this. Did Jodi Arias spend any of these appointments with Doc. Samuels on her own without a female/male guard being present? I’m sure u all know what was going on in their heads as 2 why they asked this. So what do u think?? After all she is a true skank………………

we did agree with Nancy G. that Jodi and Samuels had both tailored their testiphony to
coincide with what each had planned to say.
It seems to us that the Doctor for the defense is unreliable, uncredible and worst of all is lying due to the fact he has not spent enough time with her to even be able to properly diagnose this woman so he has to be lying! The way JA and Doc shared that lovely smile in court yesterday would lead anyone to think twice, maybe more, about their true connection.
    Now I’m done! TY

Graphic crime Scene photo # 114{duct tape}. never has this item been mentioned. We’re wondering? Did she possibly have the knife taped to the back of her leg & or somewhere/ while she was taking the photos of Travis in the shower and then ripped it out from behind her and attacked Travis with it? this may explain the duct tape found by the washing machine and dryer. HEY HEY HEY what do u say??

TrialWatcher: I say yes! We seem to know that the stabs came before the gun shot (per ME Hottie biscotti ). So either she had the knife on her person or close at hand while photo shooting (no pun intended)..as I’ve said before, she probably stabbed in the chest or belly first and then continued until he was down and crawling away before slitting his throat and then shooting him. Still can’t believe these thoughts are coming out of my mind. Who’d have thunk!

Is there still any possibility of the jury going to c the crime scene? Travis Alexanders house must have been sold by now? Seems to me that we’re well past that happening….

This trial has been tough to follow. It brings back so many bad memories, I was married to (what could have been) Jodi’s twin. Narcissistic as all get out, would lie about anything to get her way. I would wake up in the middle of the night with a weird feeling, just to find her sitting and staring at me. She accused me of all kinds of crazy stuff. When I finally couldn’t take it anymore and left, she filed bogus charges of rape and molestation against me to try to prevent me from seeing our child. I finally got custody after many years of fighting, and spending tens of thousands of dollars. Just like Jodi, my ex had no proof except the lies that she could make up like the Grinch. (But, you know, that old Grinch was so smart and so slick He thought up a lie, and he thought it up quick!)
Poor Travis family – How do you prove a negative, it’s really hard. I don’t hate Kirk and Jennifer, they are just doing their jobs, my ex’s paralegal told my attorney to tell me that she thought I was a super father and an upstanding guy, even while her boss was fighting me in court.
I think I would have like hanging with Travis, I so admire his family for being at court every day of the trial, and having to listen to the lies that Jodi spews. I love Juan Martinez, he reminds me so much of my lawyer who helped me get custody of my kiddo. She had a take no prisoners attitude as well, and even got a judge mad enough to drop the f-bomb at her. Sometimes “righteous indignation” is the right legal presentation.
It gives me hope to see that so many others are indignant about Jodi’s vile attempt to save her worthless skin by trashing Travis. In the end, she has screwed herself whether she gets death, life, or even gets off. (Because she has been found guilty beyond any shadow of a doubt in the court of public opinion.) I can’t imagine a worse fate than being reviled by almost everyone you meet for the rest of your days, but she brought it on all by herself.
RIP – Travis, and Gods peace to your lovely family.
