Maybe we could all file a petition!

There is already a petition to stop this. I think this was posted here a week or so ago.

And I had to carry my rant over because I’m still so upset and want everyone to know about these pictures.

Ok I have taken a step back and tried to be calm and rational about this but I can’t so I need to get this out again!!!! (just picture the banging the keys on my laptop are taking – not good :-()

I think that it is reprehensible that that skank JA is allowed, somehow, some way, to sell her crappy doddles on e-Bay and that this is all going on in COURT under the nose of her attorneys (who should know better but considering who they are…….) and the judge!!!!!

WTF hasn’t JM jumped all over this? It can’t possibly be legal!!!! While she is not convicted yet, she is incarcerated and on trial for her life and should not be allowed to be doing “for profit” drawings while sitting in the courtroom playing the innocent freaking victim along with her disrespectful mother and auntie. And we certainly can’t forget the he/she/it Donovan as well as any other supporters she has.

It’s bad enough that we had to listen to lies as she weaved her oh so pitiful tale for soooo many days encouraged by the slothful Wurmi. But NOW, now, we have had to put up with Gidget and ALV doing untold harm to true domestic violence victims while at the same time completely trashing the true victim, Travis Alexander’ reputation as well as his entire family who had to endure this!!!!!!!! This is all on top of Dr. Quack!!!! As someone said, it’s like a bad car accident that you can’t look away from, because you couldn’t write this amount of scuzzy and inappropriate behaviour if you tried, No one would believe it. The entire defense team, and that includes the very inappropriate Mitigation Specialist plus anyone else associated with them are truly bottom feeders of the worst kind. All the while, JA is just loving every damn minute of it!!! What she gets away with simply because she is the defendant and it is a DP case is truly atrocious!!!
In the meantime the Alexander family and friends have shown class, integrity, character and faith, all while listening, expressionless, to this trash being spewed, all in order to get the truly deserved justice for their brother Travis.

Now to find out that this skank is making money off her doodles in court!!! I am soooooooooooooooo offended that I am about to have a stroke!!!! This is so so wrong on so many levels and those that have helped her accomplish this, should be truly ashamed of themselves if they are even capable of that feeling!!! Plus it should not be legal and those that are helping her should be thrown in jail and the key thrown away!

It’s wrong, wrong, wrong and needs to stop!!!!! (damn I wish I could bold on this blog 😦 )

ok, that’s all for now folks but I’m still furious………………………………………………….. hands on hips and pacing!!!!!

I’m a tad calmer, stopped pacing and the hands are off my hips. Ya suppose it could have been the Ativan???? 😉 getting caught up in episodes of Motive and Cracked. Wouldn’t ya just know that the first episode of Cracked I watched involved a psychopathic teenager, probably a lot like when JA was younger!!!

Thanks donchais so much for indulging me today 🙂 I really haven’t had a good rant lately so it’s been coming for a while! LOL See, another public service that you provide so generously! 🙂

MMD one thing to note about that pic… don’t you think it’s strange… it’s snow white… yet it was sold 30 January 2013….. when did Alice visit Wobo? It’s too coincidental that she makes sketches of snow white. It has to be associated in some way to Alice. Maybe look into this. Make a positive out of it. Make it yet another way she has inadvertently revealed something.

katiecoolady – Lady in Court from Thursday (with permission)

(News of the Weird, just got a psychotweet from someone calling themself “Justice4Jodi” – nuff said, just learned the block feature on twitter )

Ok so got in the courtroom thinking I was late but there were tons of other people in there for other cases. Looked like several hispanic defendants in stripes and the odd sounds of people speaking English with the murmur of Spanish translators going on. Several attorneys on both sides, families sitting all around the court. A few media people I recognize but odd. I went to my seat on the second row then saw JM sitting 3 seats down on the front seat.

As I was sitting there with a purse full of custom M&M’s , some with his name printed on them I SO wanted to approach him but …Aw He!! no! Not after the recent events.

So shortly thereafter people started trickling in and Nicole the VA sat behind him and Aunt Heather came in, sat next to Juan and started chatting. I actually wanted to speak with Nicole about another project I’m cooking up so scooted over then Juan turned around as I moved over and smiled at me and said Hi so I just blurted out “I have M&M’s in my purse with your name on them” and he chuckled and said “I want to see them”. So I scooted back and grabbed them and grabbed the light blue ones and handed them to him and he immediately started chuckling and said something like “these are great!”. Then I showed him the “Well it’s your fog” ones and he laughed again. Nicole the VA was really having fun with them too..she thought they were hilarious! Then I showed the dark ones to Heather that said “Justice 4 Travis” and just handed them out.

Juan M. then asked if he could keep the bag of the light blue ones and I said “of course!” (figured the person who sent them would be thrilled to know he kept the bag–and I had more at home..Just brought about half as I only had that much room in my purse!). And gave the rest to the fam who took them in the Victim room. Later a journalist wanted to take a pic of them and I just said “sorry, already gave them away”. Had it been one of my fave journalists I would have told them I had more at home they could photo but…………..

So that’s the M&M melt in your mouth beginning to my day.

So when Tanisha came in, she handed me a card and a box that contained two beautiful blue ribbon pins. The kind you can stick on to your collar or something…I’ll take pics (of course) later. They are so beautiful. she wrote me the most beautiful sentiments on the card she wrote thanking me for the support. It just melted my little heart.

I see JA walk in in her red top (weirdly I woke up this am thinking I needed to wear red today as did KatieDDJ) . She’s sporting her Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm hairdo today. Or whatever ya wanna call it.

She starts right out close talking w/ Nurmi who quickly rolls his chair back to his spot and turns his back on her as usual.

At this point someone leans in and whispers to me that Juror 5 will be joining court today…but I don’t see her.

ALV just came in, in blue and looks the same, not sick.

ABC reporter talking to me wanting to interview re: fund raising efforts for the family.

Nurmi starts out arguing for sequestration.

Ok we all know where that went. DENIED.

The Grace Wong hearing was mentioned but still not clear what that is about or when that will be discussed.

    In comes the jury.

Poquito Mas and the Wrestler yawning.

Ponytail has a waterfall style updo which I really want to know how she did it as I’d like to recreate it myself. She has her long bangs pulled back with a little clip today.

Rest of jurors look attentive, serious. The hole where 5 was is still glaring.

ALV is supposed to be talking re: Jodi but she seems more fixated on Travis–it’s creepy.

ALV sits during sidebar, bug eyed. She doesn’t try to eavesdrop like Samuels did.

I can see all the jury except Barb and Poquito Mas.

    Interesting ALV in blue today.

No stalking? Really? JM will correct her on that.

SHe’s left her rolling suitcase, fairly large , right at the bottom of the step that goes up to the witness stand. Right in the middle of the passage way. Quick getaway?

The smiling!!! No jurors engage with this at all.

WTH is she smiling about? Same with JW. Weird..they are in their own little world…smiling.

Again, females are “vulnerable” and males aggressive abusers. YUK!

I’m staring at ALV during sidebar. Her eyes bounce around. NONE of the jury is looking at her/engaged w/ her.”

JW’s entire demeanor is like she’s doing a cooking show. “And after that step, what do you put in the pan next?” (perky smile) “Nice! (smile) now let’s move on to the braising of the meat, can you tell us a little bit about that? thanks!!! ” (perky smile).

(I did write all that in my notes..LOL)

The Harry Potter glasses don’t make her look smarter they make her look clownish.

HW only one note taking so far.

CEO same stance- if I put a cloud over his head, it would be saying “come on already, let’s move this thing along”

JA licking her lips and looking over at jurors–none of them looking back at her or engaging.

Someone just handed me a stick of blue gum wrapped in blue tin foil. C and I chewed ours down very slowly in case the cameras were on us to see it.

    Re: text message testimony:

    HW only note taking

court reporter today is pretty with gorgeous hair. I bet JA will make a complaint on her and try to get her removed.

re: travis “apologized and says she’s a fantastic person ” (no one taking notes

Trump chin in hand: cloud over his head “how long is this nut gonna drone on and on..what’s for lunch?”

5 pack on the back all mimicing posture. Sit straight up, head back, chin forward

Again w/ the Jodi hearsay re: “violence” ONLY reported by Jodi.

I feel like I want to choke my own self to keep from screaming at this B. Personal and close up? Really? How about slitting someone’s throat? That personal and closeup enough for you Alyce?

Tried to defend herself-afraid to hurt him. Um, how about KILL him?

She’s very repetitive now–much of this we heart the whole first day-again she’s lost all the males.

She didn’t talk about the DV very much before because she hadn’t made it all up yet. some kind of expletives right in here (#&$^$(!!!

    She’s infuriating.

WHo are these imaginary people who keep showing up at her workplace to inform her of her cheating boyfriends–first Matt , now travis. I call BS

    LIAR

No it wasn’t about that, it was about her lying and manipulating AGAIN!

He keeps accusing her of lying–from the consummate liar only Note taking HW w/ text up on screen.

ALV watches Tanisha step out to the BR.

Zero note taking re: veiled threats.

Here comes the chuckling again. “veiled threat attached to reality” What is funny about that???

She’s too damn cheeky to be taken seriously.

    “seeking revenge” no note taking

    CEO twirling pen

To me, in these texts, JA loves getting him worked up

Paul R. writing during the text msg testimony then puts a question in the basket.

    Wrestler swiveling

“Just give me a pardon from any madness” travis wrote

Whatever this pic business was was deliberate and manipulative to piss him off, then she’s calm and happy after he got mad–she got attention.

JW not as annoying as ALV but she doesn’t seem to be really taking any of this seriously. Maybe more like a high school debate.

Pisses me off this B gets to read Travis private journals. She does not deserve this privilege.

CEO tapping in his chair. JM is ON IT w/ the objections

“she’s still attached to him” (good one)

Paul R looking back through his notebook ..appears to be looking for something.

ALV comes across weirdly obsessed w/ Travis herself–creep!

Again it’s Travis fault she responds to his emails. SHe supports women being powerless.

Hw, CEO,Ponytail, Nancy, note taking on “flattering text”. TA sent JA “tirades or rants” CEO not even looking at her, looking down he looks annoyed to me.

“You are a liar to the core of you it seems” the jury knows THIS IS TRUE–CEO writing something fast and intensely after this text–lots of writing..long.

Behind me a journalist’s phone goes off…a rock song.

I was gonna say how does JW argue this stuff with a straight face, then realized she doesn’t (I tweeted something like that overlunch)

T’s text accusing her of giving him no privacy ALV describes as “jealous”. WTH?

I have to wonder if the males are thinking she must have done something to deserve all this anger from him. Paul R rubbing his entire face. CEO looks out to gallery–looks frustrated and annoyed, not like he used to appear which was curious and engaged.

“talking more aggressively” etc. HW only one taking notes

During sidebar, Ponytail rubs forehead w/ her fingers for a long time.

Maureen and ponytail chat and smile during sidebar.

CEO has hands like a praying stance over his face…steeple is what JD calls it.

He looks fidgety, impatient, rocking in his chair, twirling pen, looking around, during testimony.

HW , Ponytail note taking re: Wayne Dwyer stuff.

Boring hashing and rehashing ..more examples of why ALV thinks T is a perp and Jodi a victim- let me count the ways.

Keep hammering on deception issues w/ Travis compared to JA? Seriously? Sidebars –every time she looks to the public gallery, I stare right back. CEO rubbing his whole face, deep sigh when she talks re: “cloth is torn”.

LUNCH BREAK….and hand rest break for me

So the meeting with ALV and Judge S I feel certain was related to what happened right after she requested a break, just before the normal 3pm break time.

I sat there and watched her walk off the stand and the entire family had left except Sam was still sitting there in her seat on the aisle. ALV walked directl to her, leaned in and started “close talking ” with her. I instantly went in to protection mode so stood right there wondering WTH is she doing? She then stood up and did some kind of arm move and shrug that would be something you’d do if you were saying something like “well what can we do?”.

What I know is this is ILLEGAL. Any representative for the defense CANNOT by law contact a victim/victim’s family due to the Victim’s Bill of Rights. I was incensed!

All of the journalists were fixated on Juror 5 so no one really caught it.

How dare she??? I walked right out and told Bill and then the ABC news reporter I’d been talking to earler. They all wanted to know what ALV said but I wasn’t gonna butt in like that, her just approaching her AT ALL is so wrong. And illegal! I did approach Sam and Aunt Heather at the end of the break and asked if she was ok and reminded her she has legal rights to NOT be contacted like that. The nerve!

She said “Juan’s taking care of it”. So I’m quite sure that’s what happened at the end of the day.

How dare she? She just sat up there trashing Travis then she wants to alleviate her guilt so she approaches Samantha? Yes, this is confirming my diagnosis of narcissism.

    so that’s that.

Love your notes from court but you out did yourself this time with the comparisons of of JW leading a cooking demo with ALV!!! Such a spot on description of her horrible style on direct with both of their insipid smiles and giggles. Thank-you so much for all that you do and for the immense support you organize and provide for Travis’ wonderful family. You ROCK!!!

Wow! Just popped in for a moment and saw this! This gives me a much needed spring in my step today. The Jury is NOT buying any of ALV’s crap. Not surprised, just relieved. Of course, we never really know what they are thinking but I think LIC’s description of their actions and demeanor speaks volumes!!

I still cannot grasp the audacity of ALV in her approach of Samantha. If I were Sam in that moment, I would likely have spit on her (and I don’t mean that lightly). it would’ve been a reflexive reaction (I’ve never done that before…EVER) And it’s very telling that that Sam’s response to LIC was “Juan’s taking care of it.” That makes ME feel very protected!!!

And Juan’s interest in the M&M’s. Too funny! He’s just such an endearing man! And so very humble! Looking so forward to Monday when he brings down the “Wrath of Juan” on ALV.

Going back to catch up on comments…gonna be a long day I see!

      Take care all 🙂

Schaeffer Re your shower slide show

First I can’t see times on a lot of them. The way they are held often picks up the time of the headshot on the bottom but for example I can’t pick up the time of the last standing shot before the headshot which I feel is an important gap to know. But besides that as I viewed them I perceived something I usually do but I had not consciously put together before.

The back shot/s is/are particularly ominous. Both the one of just his back with the head and lower part of his body cut out, and the one where he furtively rests his head on his hands. They give me such an eerie feeling more so than any of the others. I’ve not been able to pinpoint why.

He is in a particularly vulnerable position then… you can almost see his discomfort reflected by the tightness in his body, face and limbs. Why didn’t she strike with a knife in the back there? Why? No. She never planned to. She wanted those poses, all of them.

Including the way she somehow seated him before striking. It was ALL planned. Those shots are deliberate for a reason, they are her trophies her symbols, the connection to a movie as she so often makes in her symbology to satisfy her twisted mind. I’m totally convinced the psycho scene similarities are not coincidence the odds are too high when you take every pose he could have done and her compulsive need to draw ‘inspiration’ from movies.

She meant, somehow, to get him in that seated position after she got the shots she wanted .. then planned to strike at his heart when he was at his most vulnerable. She could have done it in his bed, but the shower was far more symbolic and easier to was clean. Plus it’s where the psycho scene ends.

The whole sequence is chilling but the back shots are the most telling. The seated non psycho movie shot also very revealing. That one ‘extra’ shot she thought about a great deal.
It’s also why she dragged him back to the shower. To complete the psycho movie sequence. The in between was not supposed to happen.

The shot of his torso below his head shot was never supposed to be taken. As she leaned in to strike that could have been inadvertently taken, which would go to Chrissies belief the camera swung from her neck. That shot makes sense if the shutter speed was fast enough to negate blurring. What ensued was also not part of the plan, not until he is back, rinsed, in the shower. Strange she never took that final shot. I think it was because here she reviewed the pics and discovered the ‘accidental’ records and panicked.

    • NancyB
      04/05/2013 at 6:26 pm

totally agree that Psycho pics are NOT coincidence. Also agree that it was all very well planned out and especially having him seated (very vulnerable) when her attack begins with the knife to the heart.

      • NancyB
        04/05/2013 at 6:30 pm

Oh, I meant to say that Chrissie is right about the camera with the strap around her neck & that she used her own strap because the one that came with the camera was in the box in the floor of his bedroom. Today I listened to Juan’s opening on youtube and he mentions that the camera was around her neck.

the petition says: “Alyce LaViolette should no longer be given the opportunity to speak at abuse seminars based on her testimony in The State vs. Jodi Arias Murder trial. In her testimony, she named Travis Alexander as an abuser without ever having met him. This man was stabbed over two dozen times, shot in the head and nearly decapitated by Jodi Arias slitting his throat. Based on the words of admitted liar and killer, Jodi Arias, Ms. LaViolette has tarnished the reputation of Travis Alexander in front of his grieving family. Her inability to see that the murder victim was also the victim of other abuse by Jodi Arias should disqualify her from speaking on the subject of domestic violence indefinately.”

ok my first time on today and haven’t had a chance to read evthing thru… however, i am now convinced the duct tape was indeed a knife “sheath”. per Chris Starks’ twitter site, the thing on TA’s arm was called a body bugg. she shows a pic of it. what i don’t get is how this tape stayed on the floor in laundry room… evidently his roommates never went in laundry room when they got home. also don’t understand how roommate didn’t smell the decomp? Mimi said you could smell something as soon as the door was opened. if the rm’s bedroom was up by TA’s then I am surprised..

    • 04/05/2013 at 6:12 pm

barely anything in that house had been touched. That cleaner in the middle of nowhere, the washer and dryer not used since wobo had used them for instance.

I’m wondering if the roommates areas were more divided off than just being in the same house so to speak. is there a map of the whole of the house showing where the room mates actually live in relation to the area we are familiar with?

To Jodi her journal entries from the very beginning, have never been for the purposes a normally ordered person has one for.
Remember on the stand her really annoying “of course” remarks to Juan when he asked why this or that entry wasn’t mentioned? Well this ‘of course’ reveals a lot.
She does not record what is in her heart and mind, she does not reveal her true nature, “of course” she doesn’t. Who would with a heart and soul as evil as she has?
Firstly she expects the journals to be found remember… she expects everyone to be snooping on her.
The journals are not, and never were, her inner thoughts written down as a type of catharsis as they are for the rest of us. Her journal is about reinforcing her projected persona and hiding what’s really going on inside her.
This is why Alice is in Wonderland, because Alice.. (and Dodgy) relied on her journals to leap to their conclusions. Total folly. Their assessments are therefore based on pure fantasy, fantasy transcribed by Jodi to her journals.
I did type my explanation here… of how this relates to her exchange with Juan on the stand …..but decided not to include it. In view of the prying eyes warning I do not want to go into it further right now. I don’t want to give further insight prematurely that might hinder the prosecutions case.
Still don’t know if I’m making it clear enough, but it’s the best I can do at the moment. Ask if you find it blurred and i will endeavour to clarify further.
    ____________________________________________________________________
I had to carry this over- Syn, I completely agree! JA’s journals are not, and may never have been, an accurate recording of her daily life. She carried her journals with her on a regular basis. Several of Travis’s friends have said that she would pull out her journal at odd times, and begin writing. She wrote MANY entries, with people reading them in mind. These journals are further proof of premeditation, and guilt.

If these journals were written in her true words, she would have DESTROYED them before her imminent arrest! She WANTED these to be found, and USED.

    • Moon
      04/05/2013 at 6:22 pm

totally agree these journals are planned and part of the premeditation. she even makes it a point to tell flores that she has journals and where they are. l agree if they were her ‘true’ words (if she knows how to write truthfully, i doubt it) she would have destroyed them. maybe there is another set of her journals elsewhere. also it was noted that calls were made on jun 2 … could that have just been hodi accessing TA’s phone? wouldn’t be the first time and i thought i read she even accessed his voice mail after the murder. Also wondering why the Hughes had TA’s journals?? anyone know why? did they have them all or were some still missing?

        04/05/2013 at 6:33 pm

Yes, yes, YES! “Oh I have journals, they’ll prove my innocence, you can even read about how surprised I was that Travis was brutally murdered”! “You’ll be able to read about how I was happy that he was dating MIMI! And how I’m soooooo okay with him bringing her on MY trip to Cancun!”

      • Douglme
        04/05/2013 at 11:32 pm

I believe the phone sex recording was also part of her premeditation…if you listen carefully you can hear her egging him on and if it is difficult to hear what he says she asks him to repeat it, etc…all a part of her plan so in her mind she had a reason to murder him.

    • 04/05/2013 at 6:23 pm

Family Of Law: Precisely! It’s also why she offered them up so quickly to Detective Flores. Remember?

And conveniently, JA says to Flores (paraphrasing here):

JA – When you find/look at my journals they cover the entire time from my arrival in Mesa until up to a few days ago. They’re in my fire safe.

I’m still reading through the journal pages on the other thread but when I heard her say those words RE: the timeline of her journals I knew that they would be a complete fabrication and designed to put Travis in a few bad light. As I read her “entries” her words do EXACTLY that!

This situation makes me so sick to my stomach, but I know Travis more then likely would be happy to know Juan Martinez will defend him until the end. Juan has a lot of passion for victims of violent crime. Domestic Violence is for either gender and in this case Travis was the victim. Miss Snow white (Jody) is not a victim.

Thanks, Syn. If not for your post, I may never have heard this info.

      • NancyB
        04/05/2013 at 10:41 pm

That “Donation” went straight into Cindy & George’s Bank Account. That so called foundation has never spent one cent on anyone except George & Cindy & Casey. Foundations have to file annual forms to the IRS which are public record if they are set up as not for profit. These annual forms PROVE that they have pocketed every penny. They did it this way so that they would not have to pay the taxes if it had gone straight into their own bank accounts! TRUE.

Here is the radar online article on alice.

As the Jodi Arias murder trial enters its third month of seemingly endless testimony, the expert witnesses who dissect every text, e-mail and angry comment between the killer and victim Travis Alexander are getting fat pay checks for their time on the stand, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Domestic violence expert Alyce LaViolette, who is reportedly being paid $300 an hour to testify, is using the high-profile case to promote her book, It Could Happen To Anyone: Why Battered Women Stay, which not-so coincidentally is being republished in its third edition on April 23 — just in time to profit from the publicity of the trial.

LaViolette’s blatant cashing in on the grisly June 2008 death of Alexander has disgusted many genuine victims of domestic violence, who have accused her of “selling her soul to the devil.”

“I am apalled that this so called expert is an advocate for battered women!” a domestic violence survivor told Radar. “I am highly insulted and offended by this woman, defending this killer and speaking for Travis as if she knew of him and talked to him.

And our critic is far from alone in her disgust of the book, which is described by publishers as “a unique amalgamation of the practical clinical experience of Alyce LaViolette and the extensive research of Ola Barnett on battered women and their batterers.”

The reviews on Amazon.com have been flooded with haters and backlash, with furious comments including:

“I wouldn’t spend 1 red cent for anything written by Alyce Laviolette. She has totally disgraced herself and every truly battered woman, which I am one. She has taken bits and pieces of emails and text messages and the word of a confessed LIAR. There is no forgiveness for that,” wrote one furious victim in an open letter to publisher SAGE Publications.

“After reading the reviews of this book, and you are still considering buying it, please dial 911 because you seriously need help. Too bad that Amazon doesn’t put a negative stars for us to choose.”

Another disgruntled reviewer didn’t hold back her venom either for the counselor-turned-author writing, “This woman should write a book about how to SCAM an entire community of vulnerable domestic abuse victims, then SELL them OUT for the most despicable and heinous cold-blooded killer, admitted liar, and a TRUE abuser.”

Others accuse her of being “sucked in by one of the most infamous psychopaths of all time,” of ruining her “chance of selling a single copy of your book, it has destroyed your credibility and any future career,” and, “You have betrayed every TRUE victim of domestic violence. I don’t know how

Along with pushing the book back onto shelves, LaViolette is embarking on a speaking tour this month with dates booked all around California – with her obligations conveniently booked on Fridays and weekends when the Maricopa County Court is not in session.

Alyce LaViolette trying to console a crying Samantha Alexander after assassinating the character of her dead brother sounds like deja vu. That same thing happened to me when a counselor testified for my ex daughter in law, who is also a sociopath, in a custody battle. The counselor repeated the lies told to her about my son. The counselor saw me in tears outside the courtroom and told me I was in denial and she could help me face the truth and gave me her card. Like Jodi, my daughter in law accused my son of what she was doing: jealous rages, obsession, stalking, cheating. The judge found in favor of my son and he has custody. His ex wife is still stalking him and they have been divorced eight years.

MMD~~I want to thank you for your rant, rave and ranting some more !! You articulated what I have been feeling all day. But I hope you do not get a migraine over it. It IS so wrong and the Alexander family just sit there with all the class, of which she will never have, for the sake of their brother. She will get her comeuppance of that I am sure. In the meantime she is acting like a psychotic spoiled brat.

    • 04/05/2013 at 9:38 pm

not psychotic, Vick, psychotic gives grounds for insanity. Psychotic indicates disconnect with reality. Wobo has no disconnect from reality, it is all calculated and deliberate. She may wish for something other than she is but she KNOWS what she is make no mistake about that.

Her smirking and sass will not go over well in the eyes of the jurors, a professional does not behave like that! After Juan has gotten the myth across, he will in turn, bring it all back to why we are all here for Travis and the horrendous crime that was committed against him.

As well as ALV’s false “confusion” about JM’s questions. Really? She has no idea what he’s asking? The Judge is allowing it, so you better f’in answer! It’s not up to ALV to decide JM’s questions aren’t up to her standard for answering. So annoying. After we sat and listened to all her irrelevant stories about clients who had nothing to do with this case, now she can sit in a professional way and answer the prosecutor’s damn questions…without her smug commentary.

I found on AL’s schedule on her site that she was due to be in L.A. tomorrow at a ABIP Training seminar. That stands for Association of Batterer Intervention Providers. There was a phone number and a man’s name given and was going to telephone to verify she had been cancelled but a friend told me JM’s site confirmed AL’s cancellation. THEN I went onto Facebook because I read Alyce had the nerve to start a Facebook page in the last day or so. When I went on the site (you type her name in but put the filters to – I think it was “Association” but it is the top selection on the filters and her “support page” will come up. On that site it said SHE had to have some rest so she was not going to be attending her scheduled appearance this weekend. I’LL BET that’s a lie. Meaning the part about who cancelled; however, not a lie about her needing a rest. She’s facing JM on Monday and better be prepared! There were lots of people telling Alyce on that site just what we all think of her.

It is obvious LaViolette only took the hatchet job on Travis Alexander, a murder victim, to steal over $50,000 in cash from Arizona taxpayers like me, to hawk her worthless book and a chance to bash men. Instead, she has enraged the nation, brought shame on herself, made a mockery out of domestic violence and ruined her career. After defending a batterer who brutally murdered her victim, LaViolette will be lucky getting a job cleaning toilets at minimum wage.

I feel sorry for her father. The mothers interview w detective made me have sympathy for a short time. Now I think JAs mother is downright despicable. She isn’t despicable for supporting her worthless daughter but rather for the complete disrespect for Travis’s family. I post earlier this morning on the other thread – she does it like this:

Maybe like this. She’s successfully doing it, that is for sure. It would be helpful if the guard would position himself close like he did in the beginning of the trial. Or either sit or stand behind her. It would also be really helpful if he didn’t consistently nod off.

  51. 04/05/2013 at 11:14 pm

ok so as NancyB said.. December… betting she received some stuff from Alice that referenced the snow white analogy and prompted her to draw this IF the date on the bottom can be relied on.

This is the danger of an assessor of ANY kind giving gifts of this nature. They influence the thinking of the person they are assessing. Deliberate in this and Dr Dodgy’s case? Probably. Did she takes cues from it? Sure seems that way in both cases. Dr Dodgy gave her the fog. La Toilette gave her the “I’m the victim” go ahead.

TRUE.

OMFG! Really??? A whole new level of disgust just washed over me. Thanks for sharing that Nancy. I had no idea. I’m so glad I deleted the Season Pass for that show. WOW! 😦

Observer – Are you still here? Have a question regarding the Mitigation Specialist in this case. Is she court appointed? If so, shouldn’t she be required to be impartial?? With her note passing to JA’s mother and her CLEAR laughing and smirking when Juan was up yesterday goes beyond “unprofessional”. Can’t she be admonished by the Judge for displaying such clear bias?? I was truly offended be her behavior yesterday!!

Not only for the ILLEGAL note passing but for laughter outburst! Daaayum how many people drank the evil ones koolaid?? and it’s ALL on video! Please Judge Sherry, inform the crowd, the hired help and the witnesses that this cannot and will not continue! also, why in the world do we never see the guard nearby? is he really off snoozing? wake up!! do your job!! why are notes and/or pics for ebay being allowed to be passed??? hodi accusses her parents (and everyone) of snooping, etc, shows she thinks ev1 else is just like her!

wow! just wow! These thoughts makes my head spin! No wonder she’s detached from the true nature of the crime. T speak to save this thing… oh my. She has sold her soul to the devil because she also will have to speak a bunch of lies or pretend to believe a bunch of lies… oh my!

    • NancyB
      04/06/2013 at 1:12 am

This Mitigation Specialist is is self employed. If the jury votes that she’s guilty of premeditated murder then the penalty phase of the trial will begin either right away or very shortly after and that’s when the mitigation specialist’s role comes into play. She will be promoting all the positive reasons why JA should not get the death penalty and have people speak on her behalf at that time. That’s when her former buddy from jail will testify, as she is currently on the defense’s list.

      • Tracey A
        04/06/2013 at 1:36 am

  68. 04/06/2013 at 1:02 am

OH MY LAWD!!! Is this ever an eye opener ! I googled “role of mitigation specialist. Look at an excerpt! Long I know but wow!!!!! Now put this with her behaviour in court so far and do you see something now glaringly obvious?

A mitigation specialist is [] an indispensable member of the defense team throughout all capital proceedings. Mitigation specialists possess clinical and information-gathering skills and training that most lawyers simply do not have. They have the time and ability to elicit sensitive, embarrassing and often humiliating evidence (e.g., family sexual abuse) that the defendant may never have disclosed. They have the clinical skills to recognize such things as congenital, mental or neurological conditions, to understand how these conditions may have affected the defendant’s development and behavior, and to identify the most appropriate experts to examine the defendant or testify on his behalf. Moreover, they may be critical to assuring that the client obtains therapeutic services that render him cognitively and emotionally competent to make sound decisions concerning his case.

Perhaps most critically, having a qualified mitigation specialist assigned to every capital case as an integral part of the defense team ensures that the presentation to be made at the penalty phase is integrated into the overall preparation of the case rather than being hurriedly thrown together by defense counsel still in shock at the guilty verdict. The mitigation specialist compiles a comprehensive and well-document psycho-social history of the client based on an exhaustive investigation; analyzes the significance of the information in terms of impact on development, including effect on personality and behavior; finds mitigating themes in the client’s life history; identifies the need for expert assistance; assists in locating appropriate experts; provides social history information to experts to enable them to conduct competent and reliable evaluations; and works with the defense team and experts to develop a comprehensive and cohesive case in mitigation.

She’s the one likely reading this blog! LOL! Hey mitigation specialist… You’re a disgrace! How do YOU sleep at night? If it’s solidly… seek help NOW!!!

Juror No. 5 was on Phoenix News Channel 12 tonight. Malia Omanick, Bosnia immigrant, said she didn’t go to court Thursday for attention. She just wanted to be part of the trial and wanted to show she did nothing wrong. She said she was dismissed because she made a joke. She said she couldn’t talk about it until after the trial. The reporter said she made the joke during Dr. Samuel’s testimony. She joked that if the court could afford to pay Samuel’s $300 an hour, you’d think they could afford more comfortable chairs for the jurors. She says she doesn’t know if she will be back in court because reporters were chasing her.

I have a theory about JM’s cross on Thurs afternoon. JM knew he was only left with a tiny amount of time to start his examination of Alyce. He may not have wanted to really get into the meat of his cross knowing he was only given less than an hour with her with a 3 day break looming. So he spent the time highlighting Alyce’s silly Snow White presentation to show what a hack she is; but I believe the real cross exam starts Monday, when JM can make a full cohesive case. Just a theory.

    • Tracey A
      04/06/2013 at 1:28 am

Thank you Crystal. I was trying to put his Cross in perspective and you did it beautifully! I thought he started off roughly with JA on his first day of Cross with her, but they gave him so little time. I think Monday, Juan will really bring it home!

      • Douglme
        04/06/2013 at 1:40 am

I think he sat there watching them smiling and going on and on and just wanted to let her know that his cross is not going to be so enjoyable. Looking forward to Monday!

    • NancyB
      04/06/2013 at 1:34 am

I agree Crystal! He had less than a hour and he was just beginning to set her straight about who asks the questions and proper protocol. I re listened to his cross today and she looks like an even bigger idiot than she did yesterday. All she has to do is answer his questions and she can knock off the dramatics with continually eyeballing JW and that bugs bunny smile and just show proper deference and decorum and it would reflect that she at least has a smidgen a truly unbiased professional.

    • MMD
      04/06/2013 at 8:15 am

    • Lisa M
      04/06/2013 at 12:40 pm

That’s what I think, too. I was critical of his performance, but I do think he wanted to save the real cross for after the weekend, so as not to give the defense a head’s up.
The other thing I’ve thought about is that, while I felt like he should have moved on after getting kind of lost in the weeds, I think he wanted to stay on the point of the Snow White as a Battered Woman title of the seminar to really bring home to the jurors, who may not have known this about her CV/resume (unless it was mentioned in direct examination and I missed it) and so he didn’t want to just move on, but wanted to continue to hammer home the point, even if it was a bit misguided. I think there is always a method to Juan’s madness but I still think he trips up on his words a lot, which drives me crazy! It could be because he is kind of three steps ahead in his mind, he’s actually thinking faster than he can speak.

This gives a good summary of the snow white court drawing. From huffington post…

a courtroom drawing allegedly made by accused murderer Jodi Arias is being auctioned off on eBay.

Arias, a 32-year-old aspiring artist and photographer is accused of shooting Travis Alexander in the face, stabbing him 27 times and slitting his throat in the shower of his Mesa apartment in June 2008.

The drawing, which Arias allegedly sketched on a piece of lined paper on Jan. 9 during her murder trial in Phoenix, was posted by an eBay seller known as OffTheWallClothes. The black-ink artwork shows a girl’s face that the seller says is Snow White with a black eye. There are also a heart, a pentragram and the Eye of Providence, which is the name for the symbol of an eye inside a triangle, on the piece of loose leaf.

The item was available in a one-day auction ending Jan. 30 and had an opening bid of $250.

The Huffington Post has been unable to verify whether the drawing is indeed the work of Arias, and the seller has not responded to an interview request.

The seller claims on eBay that someone in the Arias camp sent it.

“There is a heart that looks broken & what I am told are Mormon symbols and Snow White (with a 2 tears on face) with a black eye which I have no clue what that means! (sic)” the seller posted on the page.

This isn’t the first time Arias’ artwork has been auctioned on eBay. Her supporters have raised $1,019.98 since Jan. 10 by auctioning seven colored-pencil drawings she supposedly has created since her 2008 incarceration.

Hi Syn, Tracey & everyone else, Not being able to listen to another word about this terror trial, after this horrendous week , I went outside and picked up pine tree limbs from a recent snow we had. Then hopped on the John Deere & started mowing 8 acres. I just finished reading the posts and I wondered what your thoughts were about #363 JAD on the previous page.I have always wondered if 2 people were involved, although I find it hard to believe she

I really do mow 8 acres and will finish sometime this weekend as my hair looks like road kill….. Another thing, I couldn’t believe how Darryl Brewer spoke so kindly of her on the stand. He spent 4 years with her and he didn’t have a clue at all????? She didn’t just wake up one day and turn into a psycho, she’s been like this since day one. I don’t trust her mother either Any profits reaped from this should be given directly to TA’s family.

gah I lost my post and have to restart! Sooo annoying.

Gateway, I was asked by jad in the post before the most recent one whether I believed Jodi to be a sexual predator and if Matt M could be drawn in through complicity or duplicity.

The answer to both is a resounding yes and I cited a handful of cases I am familiar with where the symbiotic nature of such a relationship existed.

      1) Birnies (Australia)
      2) Myra Hindley and Ian Brady (UK)
      3) Ian and Maxine Carr (UK)
      4) Charles Sobhraj and various girlfriens he enlisted in his years murdering backpackers in Asia and South East Asia predominantly

(I may have referenced another one but at the moment it eludes me if I did)

In jad’s latest post there are more examples related to US cases.

While in this instance duplicity is far more likely at this stage, the twisted nature of the relationship exhibits signs of a very unhealthy undercurrent that cannot be ignored by anyone familiar with such cases.

I find it hard to believe anyone would have joined her in that heinous act. I realize he was a heavy guy but think she may have rolled him onto one of the brown sheets off the bed and pulled him back to the bathroom shower and that is why there was no blood on the floor down the middle of the hall.

I think she showered over him there was that cup left in the shower also she must have cleaned up since she was shooting over to Ryan’s no pun intended.

    • 04/06/2013 at 2:34 am

i would say she stripped off upstairs, probably rinsed off in the shower or wiped herself clean enough not to track blood, maybe used the towel to dry herself, which is why there was a fresh towel without blood spatter on it hanging on the rail.

Either way she then went downstairs nekked.

      • 04/06/2013 at 2:43 am

actually scratch that she didn’t have to go down nekked just take her sox off…and make sure her feet were clean…. then she could shower downstairs.

….. but the shoe mark in the blood.. she came back up with shoes on and must have wiped them clean before stepping on to carpet too.

Why on earth did she come back up and with shoes on? was that when she tried to clean the floor and realised it was too big a task? Surely not she’d already changed by then.. just to check on the scene?

NO -Jodi Arias’s former cellmate, Kimberly Ross. I did some digging around on Kimberly Ross, and I found it very interesting that while she was incarcerated, from 4/6/09 – 10/5/09 she was a “Clerk in Library”, and from 5/16/07 – 3/17/09 she was listed as “Library Aide”. I found this information on Mugshots.com, looks like she has at least two mugshots on file and it’s not clear to me if she held these jobs in the library during her time in jail or during her prison stint. It would be interesting to know if she worked in the jail library, and it would be even more interesting to have a look at what books Arias may have checked out! What will Ross have to add to further Jodi Arias’s version of events leading to the murder of Travis Alexander? What Jodi Arias told her while they were sharing a cell is not evidence – I always wonder why they call these type of witnesses to the stand. They have such a weak case that apparently they are hoping the jurors find this witness credible? Are they brain dead?

Have a question for anyone that is around that’s familiar with US terminology.

Is there and “age of majority” if not what is a similar term meaning something akin to it that sounds the same?

    • Karen Schluckbier
      04/06/2013 at 5:30 am

Syntara, I believe the term you’re referring to is regarding the age at which a person is legally considered an adult. This can vary in some states; it’s usually 18-21. In Michigan, for example, the age is 18. And I just want to thank you all for keeping everyone updated! Our cable company no longer carries HLN, and the only coverage I get now is “In Session” at 9:00 a.m. during the week, and they don’t show the whole trial!!! Call me “Midnight Rider”, btw!

    • 04/06/2013 at 5:15 am

ok what’s it called.. here it’s called age of consent.. or legal age….. but Juan says something like “age of majority” what’s the term used over there I can’t make out what Juan is saying.

      • 04/06/2013 at 5:53 am

Hi guys, Syn in Australia it is called “age of majority” in legal documents for say a Will.

Excerpt from Wikipedia: “Age of majority pertains solely to the acquisition of control over one’s person, decisions and actions, and the correlative termination of the legal authority and responsibility of the parents (or guardian(s), in lieu of parent(s) over the child’s persons and affairs generally.”

As Robert has said the voting age in US is 18 but I think their drinking age is 21? But if they can vote, be drafted etc at 18, then that would be their “age of majority”.

Just posted a comment on Dr Phil’s FB suggesting he should support the Alexander Family as well. There’s a lot of people not happy about him supporting the Arias Family. Guess he’ll work that out pretty soon.

      • 04/06/2013 at 5:57 am

Thanks Essem.. never heard it before but as I said my legal knowledge is flatline. Figured by context Juan used it it pertained to something like that but had not heard it. He says majority age so I guess both are fine.

    Tracey A & Syn & Nancy B —

I have been reviewing discussions, documents, the interrogation tapes, testimony, and what few exhibits I can find trying to cobble together WOBO’s travels, to compare her story against the evidence. It seems her story follows a basic pattern: it is either consistent with the known info, or wildly off — there doesn’t seem to be a lot of middle ground.

I do not live in CA, so I have no idea if the drive time estimated by google maps is correct based on traffic at various times of day, etc., so I’m just going to go with their published times and distances. I have rounded up on mileage, but only to the nearest 5 or 10. I am not even going to try to figure out what roads she took, because I could not see the map she drew Flores. I also rounded off the times for length of phone calls and dollars spent, but again, by very little. This is not to be construed as gospel, just an exercise in evidence gathering to complete a picture. Any misstatements or miscalculations are mine. Thank you in advance to all who have posted info which helped in my assembling this; I am simply not able to go back and acknowledge everyone individually, but your input is appreciated. Any and all alternate theories and ideas are welcome — not alternate realities, mind you, just alternate theories and ideas!

    1 June
WOBO borrowed money from Paul Stern, telling him she was panicked about “losing Travis and must get to him.” She told him she was broke. She testified she had “about $200 cash” when she left on her trip.

Noteworthy: WOBO paid Paul Stern back. Was it maybe because Travis had not had a chance to cash the $200 check she gave him toward the car? Unknown by me how much money Paul loaned her, but the citing of $200 is perhaps not a coincidence.

    2 June
    She packed that night/early morning
3:04a talked to Travis for 18 minutes
3:21a talked to Travis for 41 minutes

Both of these calls were from Travis to Jodi, back to back, so somebody probably hung up in anger, and he called her right back. She claimed she did not sleep. Between the last call from Travis and the time Jodi was in Pasadena, she called Travis 14 times, but all the calls were less than 3 minutes, and some were just a few seconds. Did he not answer? Was she listening to his messages? She had his voice mail code, as she demonstrated when accessing it trying to make the post-murder phone message sound “just right.” Whatever transpired, it doesn’t seem like she had time to actually coordinate her trip with him.

7a — left Yreka, drove 100 miles to Redding
8a — arrived Redding, rented car and returned to relative’s house to sleep
sometime “after noon” she left and headed south
9p — she was in Lodi, which is only 200 miles from Redding
She arrived in Monterey “very late, after midnight,” even though it is only 160 miles from Redding to Monterey. stayed with Matt overnight

It took her 12 hours to go 360 miles. What was she doing? No receipts have been shown. She was very evasive during cross, saying “I don’t know miles, only times” when Juan tried to pin her down on where she went and when.

    3 June
early morning, left Matt’s and went to Darryl’s, who lives in either Monterey or Salinas
spent about 30 minutes with Darryl & his son before son left for school about 7a
8a — left Darryl’s with two 5 gallon gas cans
10a — returned to Darryl to give him a DVD remote control which was in her car. Checked her myspace e-mail.

Point of interest: In her journal entry of 22 May, she wrote she & Travis decided to change their passwords on social media, so they wouldn’t have each others passwords, and each “picked 2 sites” to use. WOBO chose Facebook & gmail, Travis chose Facebook & myspace. So, why was she checking myspace e-mail, which she testified she had “not checked for awhile”? Was she looking at Travis’s?

Speculation: How did a remote control belonging to Darryl end up in WOBO’s car? Was the DVD remote control actually for the DVD player reported stolen from her grandparents’ home? Did she trade the DVD player for for the two gas cans? She never returned the gas cans, and Darryl did not ask for them back. In addition to getting a gun, the staged robbery gave her something of value to trade, because she had no cash. She had asked Darryl in late May and again in early June to borrow the gas cans. so she was planning everything well in advance.

    Still in Monterey
10:10a deposits $400 into the 1st bank account
10:11a deposits $300 into the 2nd bank account
10:15a deposits $100 into the 2nd bank account

Where did this money came from? She was broke, so she did not have $700 to be moving around between accounts. Did she hack Travis’s bank accounts yet again? She possibly made these transactions on Darryl’s PC, or maybe at a branch of Washington Mutual in Monterey. She told Darryl she was going to see his sister in LA to take photos of her new baby, but she never showed or called.

She must have spent the day in and around the Monterey and Salinas area (they are about 20 miles apart) because @

3:22p — Bought a 5 gallon gas can @ Wal Mart in Salinas

Consideration: the can cost $15, so this could not possibly be a money saving measure as she claimed, unless the difference in the price of a gallon of gas was greater than $3/gallon between CA and NV & UT. For the “education of our foreigners”, gas in CA is more expensive than in NV & UT, but not THAT much more.

She admits she got her nails done, but nothing else. She said she had to wait around because she didn’t have an appointment. Did she also get a Brazilian wax and have her hair colored? Or did she do that the day before when it took her 12 hours to go less than 400 miles? No receipts and no admission. She used to live in that area, so she may have had a previous salon connection. As Tracey said, Brazilians are not cheap because they are usually done only in high end salons. Was she stalling so she wouldn’t arrive in Mesa until the middle of the night? Again, she wasted almost an entire day, taking 12 hours to travel 320 miles, from Monterey to Pasadena.

Consideration: She insisted she returned the gas can to Wal Mart after she bought it, but exactly 5 1/2 hours later she was buying gas in Pasadena, which is almost the exact amount of time google maps says that trip would take. So, either she returned the gas can without ever leaving the store, or she is lying. Hmmm . . . wonder which it is? Of course, no return receipt has been produced, and Juan seems to have verified no returns were made.

8:16p — made her last call to Travis, call lasted just about 2 minutes. She had made several calls to him throughout the day, but they were very short, sometimes just a few seconds, so he probably didn’t answer. Again, when was there time to coordinate her trip and figure out her arrival time?

In Pasadena, she made the 3 separate gasoline purchases.

8:42p — purchased 8.301 gallons of gas with card — probably for car
8:51p — purchased 9.594 gallons of gas with cash — probably for 2 gas cans — this is the transaction she didn’t want to show up
8:53p — purchased 2.37 gallons of gas with card — probably for 3rd gas can
Total gas purchases: 20.265 gallons for $85.67 — $45.67 on cards, and $40 in cash

9p — left Pasadena and headed straight to Mesa

9p — called Ryan Burns and told him she was “on her way” to Utah.

She then turned off her phone. If Travis was expecting her, why would she have gone completely incommunicado? She would have kept him posted on her location and estimated arrival time. Also, she was obsessed with talking to him. Even if we believe her stories that she either a) lost her charger or b) misplaced her charger, later located under the passenger seat, she would have bought another charger. She would NOT have stayed out of touch with Travis, and she has demonstrated and acknowledged she was bad about managing money — if she wanted something and it had to do with Travis, she just spent the money. I don’t know what a charger costs, but if she couldn’t have afforded one, she could have purchased a minute phone for about $20 — if she wasn’t trying to stay under the radar.

I believe she time her arrival in Mesa for the middle of the night.

    June 4
Arrived at Travis’s between 3a and 4a. 400 miles in 6 or 7 hours, so that’s about right.
I am not going to recount the days activities, except to say she testified that “sometime after 2p” she packed her car, then went back in the house to look at photos on a CD.

Consideration: If she was trying to avoid being recognized and identified — changed her hair, removed the license plate, arrived in the middle of the night, why would she let herself be seen in the middle of the afternoon when she packed her car? Where was she parked? Someone upstairs theorized she backed into the driveway, since it was the front license plate that was removed. This makes sense because it was a triple-wide driveway, and when she packed her car, she could have done so in the relative cover and obscurity of the garage. She said her luggage and camera bag were in the trunk, along with the water and the gas. She testified earlier that parking in the driveway, behind Travis’s car in the garage, was “her” spot.

10:30 p – 11p — turned her phone on near Kingman, AZ, very near the NV border, between 10:30 and 11p.

This is 200 miles, about 3 1/2 hours from Mesa. Was she at Travis’s house until 7p, or did she leave earlier and take a detour to dispose of the evidence? I think she would have gotten rid of the evidence as soon as possible, because she would want to put it far away from herself. I did not review lakes, remote desert areas between Mesa and the Hoover Dam, so I’m not going to speculate on where she got rid of the evidence. I also am not entirely convinced she wasn’t stocking up on gas in case she wanted to start a fire, either at Travis’s house, or somewhere remote to destroy evidence. Just a theory of mine.

After she turned her phone on, she made a flurry of calls. She made the multiple calls to Travis’s voice mail, talked to Ryan Burns, and called Leslie Udy & Matt McCartney. She did not talk to Matt, and I don’t know about Leslie.

    June 5
11a-noon arrived in West Jordan — 520 miles, 7 1/2 hours per google. Why did it take her over 12 hours to make this leg of the trip? Is this where she detoured to dispose of evidence? To clean herself up, even though I can’t believe there was much to clean up because she showered with the body. Her finger was undoubtedly bleeding, and maybe a couple of other slight scratches, but that is all. Did she sleep? Could YOU sleep after doing what she did? Syn — was she able to sleep because “mission accomplished, pressure off”?

In his report, Detective Flores said her story of the route she took — Yreka to LA to Las Vegas to Salt Lake– took almost 48 hours. Even allowing for 10 hours to rest and/or sleep, he calculated it should not have taken more than 29 hours to complete, so she had almost 20 hours unaccounted for. He then calculated her actual trip, Yreka to LA to Mesa to Salt Lake, allowing for 10 hours to rest and/or sleep, should have taken no more than 37 hours. That still left 10-11 hours for “other activities.” (Other activities were his words, and I have to admire his restraint in choosing them.)

A couple of other things stick out to me. WOBO had clearly demonstrated she was absolutely incapable of being out of contact with Travis. Co-workers said she was constantly contacting him during her work time, even going so far as refusing to report for work until she had talked to him, even if it meant sitting outside the restaurant and calling until she got him. She also had a well-established and well-documented pattern of not only following but of calling and texting Travis while he was out with friends or out on dates. Lisa Andrews even said this was a contributing factor in breaking up with Travis. It must have been agony for her to be out of contact with him between Pasadena and Mesa.

Also, along these same lines, her last admitted conversation with him had been on 1 June while she was packing for the trip. (By conversation, I mean actually speaking to him. I am not counting the voice mail message after she killed him) On 7 June, she sent him an e-mail asking to stay in his house while he was in Cancun, but claimed she just brushed it off when she didn’t hear back from him; right, like she would let an e-mail go unacknowledged. She also causally mentioned his voice mail was full, for the first time ever. According to her journal, Dan Freeman notified her on 10 June “something was wrong” and later that same morning, Bishop Layton told her Travis was dead. There is no way in hell she suddenly had gone 9, almost 10 days with no contact with him without completely freaking out. IF that had really been the case — if she had not murdered him on 4 June but had not heard from him in anyway since 1 June — she would have WALKED to Mesa to figure out what was wrong.

Okay, somebody else take a turn.

      04/06/2013 at 10:36 am

      Schaeffer-
Timelines are key to understanding crimes.
What yours points out (with the exception of a few errors, for example: You have her leaving Yreka at 7am and arriving 100 miles away in Redding at 8am–impossible unless she was driving 100mph the entire way; other driving times you have calculated also subject to error) is the most important part of this case: MOTIVE.

And it is THE MOST IMPORTANT part of this case, because it completely dispels LaViolette’s conclusion that Jodi “must have been an abused woman” SIMPLY BECAUSE she did not behave in this manner before her relationship with Travs. The GLARING ERROR of LaViolette’s conclusion is that –beyond accepting, without question, the stories of a proved AND ADMITTED LIAR– she jumps to this “abuse” conclusion WITHOUT CONSIDERING OTHER MORE LOGICAL REASONS for “why Jodi was behaving differently than she behaved in other relationships before she got involved with Travis”.

An OBVIOUS reason for Jodi’s change in behavior is simple, and is set forth nicely via the timeline you created:
JODI was literally OBSESSED with Travis Alexander.

I do not believe that Travis was ever OBSESSED with Jodi. HOWEVER, I also don’t think it’s as cut and dry as people may wish to believe here. He may have been telling his friends e was through with her and that she was a stalker (she was stalking him, no doubt about it), but he clearly was not THROUGH with her as of mid-May, 2008 (we have evidence of it via the phone sex tape that Jodi surreptitiously recorded), and likely was not through with her until the very end of May, 2008 when he sent her those 3 text messages.
LaViolette again jumps to weak conclusion, based on lies told to her by Jodi, that Travis was ONLY angry at that time due to “jealousy”, sparked, –according to Jodi– by her “inadvertent” (yeah, right) sending of a text message meant for another man to Travis’ phone.
That simply does NOT ke sense, considering the extent of his anger, ESPECIALLY given his completely NONCHALANT attitude during that same recorded phone sex call when Jodi attempts to GET HIM JEALOUS by talking about having sex with other men/wanting to fully explore her sexuality before getting married.
IF Travis was such a controlling, angry, abusive and JEALOUS man when it came to Jodi Arias, how was it that he was able to have NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER to her attempts to PROVOKE him? Hmmm, Ms. LaViolette???

I don’t believe that Jodi was a “sexual predator” or any of the other factually unsupported opinions on that matter which have been expressed here, just as I don’t believe that Travis was a jealous, abusive “monster” that LaViolette –without CONFIRMED factual support–jumped to conclude either.
UNBIASED opinion is the best opinion. It is most believable in a courtroom.

Neither Jodi Arias nor Travis Alexander were virginal saints. They were young adults engaging in typical young adult sexual relations (consensual sex/exploration of fantasies, etc).
But what LaViolette cannot “erase” with her vast imagination is this:
JODI is a murderer, and sadly, Travis was her victim.

      It really is THAT simple.
She was OBSESSED with him and could not TOLERATE losing him.
She did what so many obsessive people (mainly men) have done to lovers who have FINALLY REJECTED THEM.
Travis finally rejected Jodi–completely–, and she could not tolerate it. It ENRAGED her. And she used that rage to coldly plan his demise. She used it to coldly go about using other men in her life to lend her money and items necessary to carry out her murderous plans. She used it to fuel one of the most cruel and horrific killings by knife that most people have ever seen photographic evidence of in their lifetimes. And she used it to coldly go about her clean up–literally “over his dead body”, and to lie, without batting an eye, to friends, family, and finally law enforcment, her own attorneys (prior and present counsel), her “experts” and now to this judge, jury and the public via the media covering the case.

      • 04/06/2013 at 12:21 pm

WhoIsShe, on this I beg to differ. As you have educated me on many legal terms let me explain sexual predator in behavioural terms.

Many colloquially associate the term with sex crimes alone. In reality or at least in behaviotal terms a sexual predator is someone who acquires sex through manipulative, covert and or devious means, using their sexuality to bind the target to them.

By this definition Jodi is definitely a sexual predator.

      • 04/06/2013 at 12:23 pm

        Oops wherisshe I meant, sorry

      • 04/06/2013 at 12:30 pm

        WhereIsShe

Here’s some examples of the harrassing nature of a sexual predator:

” Sexual predators often get attached to their victims. Attachment often results in cyberstalking or harassment, when the predator constantly contacts the victim to ask for sexual favors (which can be anything from posing naked on camera to meeting for sex), and threatening death or injury to the victim or her family if she doesn’t comply. If the response is not acceptable, the criminal usually starts contacting friends, posting photos of the victim online and giving away her phone number, making phone calls and making direct threats.”

      04/06/2013 at 1:06 pm

Schaeffer: Okay, my head his spinning- thank you for putting that all down! I’m not über familiar with the exact “road trip” timeline- WIS pointed out a few errors, and made some of her usual common sense, logical observations.

Below is a discombobulated list of thoughts, and questions-bear with me…. It’s a MESS!

      1. JA was completely obsessed with Travis- she was unable to have NO communication with him for any length of time- even after she murdered him, she called, texted, emailed and journaled. Yes, all part of her “it wasn’t me” plan, but also, because she was even in his death, still OBESSED and needed to “contact” him.
      2. How did she clean herself up, do her hair and makeup before arriving at Ryan Burns? Yes, I too believe she showered “over his dead body”, but I believe she truly looked like Sissy Spacek as “Carrie” on Prom night- she must have been head to toe in blood. She would want to show up at Ryan Burns, looking “normal” (afterall, she was upset while being booked on Murder 1 without her hair and make up done) – so clearly she would PRIMP, to go see another man.
      3. I’m NOT convinced they had sex on June 4th. Travis was done with her, as of late May, I dont believe he agreed to even see her, let alone engage her further. All we have is “her word”, that they spent the day having sex and doing Calvin Klein photo shoots. (The picture of Travis sitting in the shower? I dont buy it! Why would a 180+ LB man choose to squash himself down in a very small shower stall?) She could have taken those “sexy” photos with a timer (I burned my retinas out seeing the pic of her over used snatch). And IF she was this accomplished photographer, why were the supposedly planned shower pics, dark, unfocused, and blurry? And I suspect, some were taken with a zoomed lens.
      4. Phone sex tape was planned by JA alone. Travis had NO idea it was being recorded. She manipulated him to say things, and coyly asked him to repeat things if they were slightly inaudible. Not once during the call did either of them reference it being recorded. This tape was for blackmail, not mutual pleasure.  If LAV knew WTF she was talking about, that would have been a red flag, and not a red herring- if Travis was indeed the control freak, raging abuser that she stated he was, he would NEVER have allowed JA to have sole control of that recording.
      5. I believe there are shards of truth in several of JA’s stories- JA wrote in her journal that she had a dream that TWO people were charged in his murder, one charged with murder, and the other charged with conspiracy.  I think she was trying to implicate Matt M. I TRULY believe that JA’s journal entries were all cunning, calculated words that she KNEW and WANTED to be read. IF JA had written any of her truth in her journals, she would have DESTROYED them- she knew she was going to be arrested- she told Det. Flores where her journals were, and said that they’ll prove my innocence.
      6. She forged documents claiming Travis was a pedophile.
While leading her own defense, she attempted to blackmail the Prosecutor into a plea deal. (agree to give me Murder 2, and I won’t drag Travis and his family through the depth of Hell!) When denied, pedophilia was brought in as part of her “poor Travis was deeply sick, and wanted to be a better man, having sex with me helped cure his lust for baby boys in spidey under-roos, I’m a good girl, just trying to help”!!!!! Ack! NO pedophilia found in Travis’s home, not on any computer, and no photos. Where did the photos go that she saw him master-bating to?
      6. Could there be additional charges for her trying to leave town the day of her arrest- she had a loaded 9mm in her rental car. I dont know the gun laws in AZ, but in Illinois, you cannot transport any firearm unless you have to have the ammo (clip or bullets) stored separately from the gun.

Okay, there’s my SCATTERED thoughts- my brain has turned to mush!

      • Family of Law
        04/06/2013 at 1:21 pm

One last thing… Self defense? She walked away with cuts on her hand (self inflicted when her hand slipped on the bloody knife). Travis was stabbed 27 times, two self defense gashes to his hand, a slit throat, and a bullet in his head.

Where Is She: legal question- Illinois law states that in self defense, a person only has the right to cause enough harm to the perpetrator save themselves. How can JA claim self defense? Isn’t this a case of overkill?

      • Observer
        04/06/2013 at 1:39 pm

Family of Law, your scattered thoughts make perfect sense. As for No. 6, she was arrested in Yreka, CA not Arizona. I understand they found the gun and the ammo separately in the suitcase in the trunk of the second rental.

Under the self defense laws in Arizona, you can only use enough force to get away. Even by her own bogus story, this was not self defense.

Wow, great coverage and lots to digest there! Thanks! One thing that stuck out in my mind was the DVD remote control that she took to Daryl. Must have been the one from the Grandparents house that she forgot to get when she staged the break in and stole the gun and DVD player and a few dollars…hmmmmmmmmmm (that would be my assumption)

  93. 04/06/2013 at 6:57 am

OK timelines are not my forte so I’ll stick to what I do best. You ask could she sleep? Hell yeah she could sleep! No conscience and she “beat” him. She could sleep like a baby once the adrenalin wore off.

Imagine the times he didn’t answer or all those short phone calls 14 of them you said, imagine how she used that to feed the rage. No wonder it all came out in the attack when he tried to get away!

Still think she parked down the street or access behind the house, can’t see her risking the car in the driveway.. if someone saw it there it would too easily be her undoing. Remember if he had collapsed and died in the shower it’d be very very hard to prove with solid evidence she’d been there. I can’t see her parking where the car would be associated with his house. Out on the street it could be associated with any house in the area. But that’s just my take on it.

The gaps are annoying especially the long time before Mesa after she seemingly left Pasadena. I can understand the one between the murder and Ryan’s. Attempted clean up at Travis’, panicked and confused with what to do about the unforeseen mess. Doing the laundry, realising time was getting away from her. That could eat a lot of time, plus of course after finally leaving the house she had to dispose of the evidence and her clothing. When did she do the numberplate reversal?

The gap from Pasadena to Mesa is harder to pin down to a logical conclusion. Could she have gone back to Matt’s? Obviously she had to fill in time to arrive at that ungodly hour, assuming she did arrive when she says she did. She does not like being alone.

Also re the showering, I think she cleaned up enough in the bath not to trek blood through the house but used the downstairs bathroom to shower and change. Again just my opinion.

I’m going to copy this and study it. It’s so clear really helps bring her trip into perspective.

Thank you Schaeffer, really amazing job!!

the roommate was at the house by 6pm? I didn’t know that. Where did you hear that? I must have missed it. Anyone have a layout of the house showing where these room mates actually reside in relation to the section we know to be Travis’? So little was touched the whole 5 days he was undiscovered I can’t get my head around it without understanding why the roommate din’t notice anything.

      Az. Rev. Stat. § 13-703.01
      (A) If state is seeking death, then there is first the question as whether D. will be sentenced to death. If the jury says no to death then the jury must decide between LWOP or life (25 years if the murdered person was 15 years or older or 35 years if the murdered person was under the age of 15 – this includes the unborn).

Im have yet another question well compound questions before I sign off for a bit.

Assuming (and it’s certainly no done deal I realise juries come back with some weird decisions) but assuming she does get found guilty just hypothetically, who decides if it’s DP or is it LWOP? Is it the judge? and if it is the judge I’ve got serious doubts if this judge has the testicular fortitude to rule DP. She seems to stop things when it’s to the defense’s advantage and make many rulings in their favour.

I think that roommate (who was home around 6 ) was working many hours & he was house-sitting for his gf’s family. So he was hardly at the house. He gave a pretty detailed timeline of when he was/wasn’t at the house. I think there was only 1 more roommate at that time but can’t remember his timeline. There is a deposition for him also.

      • 04/06/2013 at 7:44 am

hmmm if this can be verified it goes a long way to explaining why she left the bathroom like it was. I was thinking time restriction because she had to meet Ryan and was already going to be a day late.. but maybe it was to get out of the house before the roommate returned.

Also goes to her maybe doing the cleaning ie linen washing and cleaning floor with new appliance so Travis felt secure enough to enter the shower. hmmmmmmm wow seriously that would have been cutting it very fine if he returned at 6 surely she must still have been in the house? She had to get his body into the shower and shower herself. Plus she came back up with shoes on, there’s a shoe print as well as socks.
        hmmmmmmmmmmmm again!

anyhow must fly see you all later! Keep the faith! **waves**

The jury decides. There is literally almost a second “trial” with the same jury regarding whether or not to put Jodi to death now that she has been found guilty. This is when Jodi’s allies, other mitigating evidence, etc. can all come in to try to sway the jury to save her life. The prosecution will also put on a case as to why she is pure evil and needs to die.

Ms. LaViolette, I would submit to you that YOU are an abuser!

    1. You have abused the true definition of the term “domestic violence.”

    2. You have abused the Alexander family over and over again with your senseless ramblings and heartless accusations of their BRUTALLY murdered loved one by a TRULY DEFINED abuser.

    3. You have emotionally abused Samantha by having the unmitigated gall to approach her “sympathetically” after you crucified her brother with your wretched testimony.

    4. You have abused the process by your less than expert testimony.

    5. You have abused the time of those poor jurors whom you’ve held hostage with your tedious, boring, non-sensical testimony.

    6. You have abused Juan Martinez with your snarky, disrespectful, passive aggressive remarks. Are you attempting to engage in character assassinations, as well? Umm…that’s abuse in your book.

    7. You have abused my mind as it’s struggled to make sense of your rantings. It’s still recovering.

The Judge Timid should have jumped in with instructions about being a witness. Juan had had it by this point. Recall with Doc Dodgy when HE asked a question? RE: MY RANT #4 upstairs

I would really like to thank everyone here who commented on my rant that I posted yesterday. I was truly beside myself and so beyond furious and livid. Pacing with my hands on my hips didn’t help at all, just got me more worked up. I finally took an Ativan (something I take maybe a couple times a year at most) which didn’t help at all. Tried to watch a couple of shows on demand but couldn’t focus. I even waited an hour and a half to calm down before I posted, hoping time would help. It didn’t. Neither did the 2 Juan videos (now ya know I was REALLY pissed and upset!!!! LOL ;-))

Finally what I did was take something to sleep, cuddled up with a couple of my kids and put myself to bed and it worked, thankfully for all of you who have to put up with me.

Anyway, a sincere thanks to all my peeps here who reached out and commented and the rest who simply read it. 🙂 I reread them as well as the newer ones and everyone is so supportive. That’s what I love about this site. We may disagree about things but we are always supportive!!!!

Donchais, of course, you get special mention for thanks because not only do you allow my rants but you let me carry it over to the next post. You are so appreciated by us ALL 🙂

So now, it’s a new day and time to get back to focusing on what is truly important – getting justice for Travis Alexander and his family!!!! The pain and abuse that family continues to go through courtesy of this defense group is so much more tragic than anything I was feeling. I so want Travis to finally be able to rest in peace!

I think I’ve been on the fence about the DP since I was a teen. I have been swayed in the past decades by the work of the INNOCENCE PROJECT because they have shown how shoddy and corrupt many convictions have been; and they have shown when science can now provide what was unavailable to those now proven innocent.

I was also swayed by intellectuals on the left in the Catholic church that spoke of a “real” respect for life at BOTH ends of the spectrum.Being “pro-life” doesn’t mean just half the time. I don’t agree with them even now, but I respect the point of view because it is, I think, consistent,

Like many here I’m sure, Ive read of cases, and you just go, there is no other way; eliminate the problem. I mean why waste a nickel?

Then there is the current system of Federal appeals; AZ just executed a guy that was convicted 20 years ago! I mean I see no sense in that at all. If you have a system and believe in it, then have the courage to use it. How about trial, appeal and punishment all within a year? I bet Americans in 1790 would think that hanging someone 20 years after the fact would not be good public policy and these were the guys who “created” America.

The states I have lived in, in the USA, have had no DP. Here in Europe it is not allowed.
China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Libya all have the DP. This is the company of the USA now. It is what it is.

I’d LOVE for AZ to have a rule that says, hey once convicted and once we know 100% the person is guilty, we take em out and hang ’em. In April, 1865 Lincoln was assassinated; by July, they hand hung 4 conspirators in the plan (and they didn’t kill anyone–Matt? Brewer?Searcy?).

I think I want most of all to see her convicted of first degree. After that, I leave it to the people who have to make that call. I ‘think’ I’d prefer she get LWOP because then we wouldn’t have to hear about her anymore and she would think about her killing Travis every remaining day of her miserable life. I also dont want to hear any mitigating factors. I’ve heard enough.
I want to see her face when she’s told they don’t believe her.

But ,I remind myself, I got in one day to the OJ trial( there was a lottery each morning starting at 7am). Mostly to feel it out. I wanted to look at the jurors. I told my circle, that they were all working people that wouldn’t fall for the defense’s nonsense. So, right now, I’m just hoping that these jurors see their way

. I think its absurd that they can’t discuss it amongst themselves. Who makes decisions like that? One thing–and one thing only-has Squirmy said that made any sense to me. And that is the “fiction” that people are not exposed to news or disussions.I disagree with the big oaf about a remedy. Its not sequestration; its an admonishment-and an oath – not to be swayed and to make all reasonable attempts to get away from discussions or contact with other people on the matter. But amongst themselves? For 4 or 5 months? Makes no sense.

      04/06/2013 at 12:27 pm

Jurors in EVERY STATE in the U.S. are instructed not to discuss the case –even amongst themselves–before they are instructed on the law by the judge and sent to the jury room to deliberate, whether it is a criminal case or a civil case.

The purpose of this is FAIRNESS to BOTH SIDES.

People who feel that they cannot be fair and listen to ALL of the evidence should say so when they are summoned for jury service. They simply should not serve. (Yes, of course, we know that people do reach conclusions before the end of a case, and so it is imperative that those who have reached conclusions BEFORE hearing ALL of the evidence not influence those who do their best to live up to this very important and sacred pulic service.)

THIS is a casse where you want the jurors to hear ALL of the evidence, right? You understand that because Jodi put froth an “affirmative defense” that the

Anyone who is not on the jury is free to discuss the case and share whatever opinions they may have outside of the earshot of any of the jurors.
You are expressing your opinions here. We all are, and we are all free to do so. The only ones who have been instructed by the court to refrain from doing so until they begin deliberations are the members of the jury panl.

That’s how our justice system works.

Somehow hit “send” before I finished the above.

I wanted to say that this is a case where ALL of the evidence includes the very important State’s REBUTTAL case. Anyone on the jury who is confused or believing Jodi or believing LaViolette will hear EVIDENCE from the state which will be key to informing their final decision about guilt.

        *****
As to your comments about how rapidly we should execute people here in the U.S., all I can say is: learn about the history of death penalty imposition; learn about our Constitution; learn more about people who have been falsely imprisoned for years, sometimes decades, and know that we (as a “people”, via the government) HAVE, in fact, executed innocent people, which is as premediated and horrific as it gets, IMO. An innocent person, sitting on death row, and then having their life wrongfully taken by the state, is a nightmare of epic proportions.

WIS- Yes, I wholeheartedly agree. Jurors NEED to keep all thoughts and opinions to themselves until the time of sequestered deliberation, for all of the reasons you so eloquently laid out. Until they have heard all testimony, rebuttal, and closing arguments, they must remain open minded, and not try and sway others on the jury.

As I’ve said before, I was raised in a “Family of Law”- My dad was a prosacutor and later was a judge in the Circuit Court, Criminal Division- and my Dad was passionate about the law, and is to this day (even after his death) is still widely respected as a law scholar- (my son walks past his picture everyday at Law School) and I will paraphrase here, (and may my Dad forgive me, I won’t say it as well as he would have) He always said, that our system of justice is not a perfect system, because it is a human system. In truth, our system has allowed many guilty to go free, and more tragically, allowed many innocent to be wrongfully imprisoned, and many innocent have been put to death.

My Dad’s position on the DP was never known by any of our family members, he said it was as private as who he voted for in Presidential elections. But I strongly suspect that he would not have supported Gov. Quinn’s decision to abolish the DP in 2009, he didn’t live to see that legislation. Murder rates in Chicago have now grown at a higher than Detroit and LA, just saying…

I have never been on the fence about the death penalty. I am totally against it, especially with groups like the Innocence Project which manages to save just the lives for just those whose cases they have taken on. It truly makes you wonder how many other people have been put to death because of lack of resources, overcrowding, etc. That is why I am glad that I live in a country which does not have the death penalty.

Robert, have you ever read The Innocent Man by John Grisham. It came out in 2006 and is nonfiction. It truly scared the hell out of me!!!! There but for the grace of God………………………

JA is an entire kettle of fish for me though. I have never wished death on anyone before and I hope I never feel this way again because I don’t like the way it makes me feel. For JA I would get over my queasiness of needless and administer the DP myself!!! I’m not proud that I feel this way but it is what it is and I stand by my statements that I have been making for months about this!!!

I agree with you completely that if “we know 100% the person is guilty”, then the 20+ years of appeals is ridiculous. I remember reading that it costs more to carry out the DP than to house a prisoner for an entire lifetime, simply due to the cost of the appeals. That is truly outrageous imho!!

MMD, I respect whatever your DP opinions are. But, given how you’ve made an “exception” for JA, may I just give you some food for thought? What about all the other heinous cases that aren’t publicized where the victim’s family members are put through just as much anguish, if not more (i.e.Polly Klaas, etc), Would you deny these victims the same justice you believe is warranted in the JA case?

I just want to point out you are mixed up on where the unexplained gaps are. They are all BEFORE she traveled from Pasadena to Mesa; in fact, from Pasadena to Mesa is the only leg of the trip where she got there in the proper amount of time WOBO even testified there was no traffic at that time of day, so she made pretty good time.

The time gaps are the firsts two legs of her trip, from Yreka/Redding to Monterey, and from Monterey to Pasadena. She is also off on the time from Mesa to West Jordan/Salt Lake City.

This is great info and puts all the times in a perspective. I do agree that the mileage & timing from Pasadena to Mesa is the essential factor for the State’s case. Its spooky to consider what wasgoing on in California. The return- and hour or two later -with a dvd remote has to be the biggest howler. I mean, you leave and DRIVE and come BACK for a dvd remote? You might have driven 60 miles. I don’t get it. I ‘m gratefull for the detective work on this site which has enabled me to see that action as payment for the cans and important enough not to just wait or mail it back. Yikes. I have reviewed the statements from Travis’s roommates, Zach and Enrique, taken directly from Det. Flores’ report. I have it all written down, but unless somebody really wants it, I’m just going to summarize.

I agree it seems odd they could not have known what had transpired, but they seem to have been almost more like tenants than roommates. Zach had lived there since 29 January, and Enrique had only been there 2 weeks. Zach said they rarely saw or spoke, only in passing. They did not socialize, and in fact had never even eaten a single meal together. Zach was at his girlfriend’s most of the time, and when they were at the house, they apparently retreated directly to his bedroom to watch movies and play video games. Zach didn’t even have a key to the house; it was rarely locked, but if it was, he entered through the garage.

Enrique had only lived there 2 weeks. He also didn’t have a key and didn’t have a mailbox key, so he really had no idea what the household schedule was like. They both also said Travis frequently went out of town on business without telling them. They knew he was going to Cancun “sometime” but were not sure when.

Zach said he had done laundry on the morning of the 4th, so WOBO really lucked out there. They said the floor cleaner had been sitting in the middle of the floor since Travis bought it, and eventually Enrique moved it and put the furniture back. I think they just thought Travis had not been able to finish the cleaning when he went out of town on business.

Zach was also house sitting for his girlfriends parents at the beginning of the week. He was at work or with his girlfriend pretty much all the time. That week, it seems he came home very late, went to bed, then went to work. A couple of days, he just came home long enough to change and leave again. Fir instance in the 6th, he worked a 12 hours shift, went to his girlfriend’s, and came home late (9 pm). The next day, he was gone from 9a till 11:30 pm.

I really think they were just boys who kept to themselves and were not as curious as we are. I am sure they are horrified to think they didn’t discover the truth earlier, and have beat themselves up mercilessly about it. I cannot even imagine having been the one to find that scene.

Finally, I do not think WOBO had help. There was so much evidence in that house, and it ALL pointed to her. Most telling, she is clearly willing to blame everyone and everything, so if she thought there was a chance in hell she could pin this on somebody else, she would do it in a hot minute. If she wanted to manufacture evidence, she would have done it ahead of time, like she did with so many aspects of this crime. She even gave Flores a couple of names in an effort to divert attention — an ex-roommate and someone she claimed Travis had borrowed money from. Also, with the exception of one woman who briefly reported her husband as a suspect (they were fighting, but she quickly took it back), every single friend of Travis’s said they knew immediately it was either Jodi. I just think any accomplices would have surfaced by now. It has been 5 years since the murder, so there has been too much time for nothing to have turned up.

    Just my opinion, though.

Everytime I have thought of Matt the sneak or Brewer, I think the above.

      • 04/06/2013 at 11:40 am

Agreed! But I still think wobo and Matt have some kind of unholy alliance. And Daryl is still very much under her spell he was almost rabid in his obvious defense of her, he bristled at some of Juans questions.

When you think what she did to him, playing him as a fool at the end of their relationship, it’s obvious he is even now, still blinded to her real self. Most men have a strong dislike for being made look like a fool. He seems to allow her to do it to him over and over again.

That’s a strong hold when, even confronted with the truth of her attack on Travis, he is even still entranced.

    • 04/06/2013 at 11:51 am

Havent read upstairs but Schaeffer in the roommate that wasn’t house sitting’s statement did he return home at 6pm on the 4th?

      • Schaeffer
        04/06/2013 at 12:36 pm

He said it was his day off, so he got up early and returned a rental car he had been using while his was in the repair shop following an accident. Oddly, this may have inadvertently worked to WOBOs advantage, because there had already been a rental car in the drive. After returning the car and running errands, he was home again just from 3-4p, then went back to his girlfriend’s. He came home about 10p and went right to his room. Understandably, both roommates were a little fuzzy on what their exact movements were on a given day, but probably no more than any of us would be if we had to go back hour by hour, day by day.

Also, it has been alleged that not only did WOBO sneak in the doggy door uninvited, but she would then wait hours in Travis’s closet while he was out on a date. She would also sneak in and watch Travis and his girlfriends sleep.

Needless to say, she was well versed in the art of stealth. I can just see her sitting in that damn closet, madly writing in her journal and sketching away.

        FREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

      • 04/06/2013 at 12:42 pm

        04/06/2013 at 12:59 pm

This is the main reason why I maintain that Travis was under duress and that Jodi was likely holding him at gunpoint the entire day. The roommate was IN THE HOUSE before Travis was murdered and yet he heard nothing, despite Jodi’s tales of what transpired all day.

At first I found it VERY STRANGE that one of the housemates did not SMELL his body decomposing in that house. The friends who called 9-1-1 smelled it immediately when they first entered the home, before they even got to Travis’ room.
I think some of the jurors were confused by that as well, as was evidenced by some of the questions they asked early on, specifically to Detective F about whether roommates prints were checked, etc.

Of course, there was no accomplice. The police investigated thoroughly and there was no evidence of anyone but Jodi at the crime scene. Common sense and logic tells us Jodi planned and executed this crime all by herself and thought she was going to get away withg it by telling no one for years. What did the accomplice do while she was posing for nude pictures with Travis and stab him 29 times? Sit there and watch? If two people commit a crime, they always point the finger at the other. Jodi would have blamed the crime on an accomplice rather than claiming self defense.

In my opinion Alice could be back in times, meaning old fashion so to speak. Jody is lying to her who knows professionals are there to help people I believe they take an oath. It appears to me Jody is making a mockery out of the system. If so I hope she gets caught in the act. Professionals can be lied to as well as manipulated. I also believe a person such as Alice could have looked more In to the situation, and read Travis diary and learn more of him, before she believes Jody. To find the true victim of DC.

    • 04/06/2013 at 12:04 pm

I would agree with you; that even a professionally trained person can be manipulated by a psychopath like Jodi. But that’s why they are paid so well as experts. They should be discerning enough to understand and read through through the lies and the lines. And given the brutality if this crime, I’m shocked that she would have the audacity to call Jodi the victim – and by doing so, implying she was justified. That, my friend, is malpractice at its worst!

Btw, I’m a virgin blogger! Lol. This case has gotten me so upset, that in my searches, I stumbled on to this site. Great minds here!!

Alyce was not manipulated by Jodi. She said what the defense wanted her to say for $300 an hour and a chance to hawk her book. Because she has experience with battered wives and has written a book, she thought she could fool the world and the jury. It backfired on her. Eleven other experts turned the defense down because they would not risk their reputation and career to lie and say Jodi was a battered woman and Travis was an abuser.

Something I’ve been thinking about: why didn’t anyone hear the gunshot? Were they just sound sleepers? Were they even there that night? And obviously no neighbors reported anything. That’s one thing that confuses me and also leads me to believe she never intended to use the gun, only brought it as a backup, and then panicked and wanted to make sure he was dead. She would have been nervous about someone hearing the gunshot unless she had a silencer, which seems unlikely, and I’ve never heard anything about.

Another thing about the gun – They say Travis never kept the house door locked so obviously he wasn’t worried enough about intruders for the need to have a gun
    at the ready.

    Crystal Harris :
I heard somewhere that she cleaned herself off in the bathtub next to the shower. I also heard it was spic n span without a trace of blood…since she obviously cleaned the tub.

Crystal That’s what I heard too. The reason they knew she had used the tub was that it was spotless! Due to the blood splatter patterns they found it would have been virtually impossible for there to be absolutely no blood spatter in tub. Of course she tried to “clean up the crime scene” but very quickly must have realized the impossibilty of doing so due to the amount of blood.

Thanks for clarifying, Marilyn. So you’re saying his roommates weren’t home at the time? I didn’t know that. But how would she have known that if they kept crazy schedules? She must have known their cars and seen that they weren’t there. (?) I just can’t imagine shooting someone (not that I would to begin with!) and not panicking and literally running out of the house at that moment for fear someone heard the gunshot. But she obviously took the time to clean up. I wonder if she did have a silencer. It seems farfetched but you never know. And that’s another good point, that if Travis was worried about intruders, why leave his doors unlocked?

    • Marilyn N
      04/06/2013 at 12:57 pm

Probably why the clean up wasn’t so clean. She could only clean herself and get outta there
asap. She knew nobody was home after they woke up in the afternoon. She put the dog gate
up to keep Napoleon away prior to the slaughter! And am assuming she knew approx when anyone would be returning home from work around 6pm.

WhereIsShe posted this upstairs to try to define sexual predators in behavioural terms. I hope this helps show the reference is far from factually unsupported. You have educated me this is maybe where I can explain something to you, at least from the area of my knowledge.

    Syntara :

The mileage total is great to go along with it and I think that Jose’s point about a possible detour to dispose of the gun etc. is plausible. I think it was Observer that pointed out an area in that vicinity where she would have been able to dispose of them and be out of sight.

Just another tidbit. Fairly early on, Travis told his friend Dave Hall “There is nothing about her that I see as marriage material or wife material.” This further demonstrates that WOBO was just obsessed with Travis, and she was always more invested in their association than he was.

Please note: I use the word “association” because I don’t think they ever HAD a relationship. That only existed in WOBO’s sick, twisted, demented mind.

Dave Hall is the rebuttal witness who will testify Travis never owned a gun. They did go shooting together, but Travis always borrowed a gun from Dave. He also said Travis would have consulted him on buying a gun, just as he consulted Zach on what camera to buy, because Zach was a photographer. Dave also said he was in Travis’s home less than one week before the murder, and if Travis had owned a gun at that time, he most certainly would have shown it to him. He also said “a .25 is a crap gun, it isn’t worth owning.” Dave is a certified NRA instructed, so he knows what he is talking about, further proof Travis would have consulted him on any gun purchase.

    Schaeffer :
    Tracey A & Syn & Nancy B –

Arrived at Travis’s between 3a and 4a. 400 miles in 6 or 7 hours, so that’s about right.

Wow Schaeffer! You did a great job of breaking all of this down!! A few weeks ago I was looking at the mileage between the cities and I got different numbers.According to Rand McNally’s online trip calculator, the distances between the cities is:

From Pasadena, CA to Mesa AZ = 387.7 miles, 5 hours 16 minutes

From Mesa, AZ to West Jordan UT = 659.7 miles, 9 hours 38 minutes

From West Jordan UT to Redding CA = 720.3 miles, 10 hours

If Arias left Pasadena with a full tank of gas, she more than likely would have had enough fuel to get to Mesa without refilling the tank. I’m unsure of the make/model of the car she rented, but it seems to me they said it was a Ford Escort. I wasn’t able to find the MPG info for a 2007 or 2008 Ford Escort, but the Ford Focus is probably close enough. A 2 door, 4 cylinder 2008 Ford Focus gets 35 MPG on the highway, 24 with city driving. If you use an average of 30 MPG, it would’ve taken approximately 12.93 gallons of gas to get from Pasadena to Mesa (388 miles / 30 MPG).

The tank would’ve been empty or near empty when she arrived in Mesa. If she had two 5 gallon cans full of gas, she would have been able to drive approximately 300 miles away from the crime scene using the gas in the gas cans. The trip from Mesa to Utah was more than 659 miles, so she would have had to stop at some point, but the extra gas she had in those cans probably enabled her to get far enough away to feel safe fueling up the car. But we *know* that she had a 3rd gas can and could have driven approx. 450 miles before having to stop to refill once in Nevada.

I don’t know why our mileage between cities is so different. Any ideas???

  123. 04/06/2013 at 1:30 pm

This is not a snarky question, but…

Can someone please tell me why, after everything the defense has used against Travis without solid evidence in their attempt to victimize JA and assassinate TAs character, the State cannot now admit into evidence things that have been previously suppressed about Joho?

For example, the slashed tires, Jodi’s reckless, narcisstic and odd behavior in the interrogation room, her own parents’ interviews in the interrogation room, etc.

Hasn’t the defense swung that door wide open now?!

    • 04/06/2013 at 1:46 pm

hmm I thought the tire slashing had been mentioned. I had only seen the trial prior to landing here, no other sources at all except the initial 48 hours doco which I viewed a year or so prior. I’d viewed up to day 28 on youtube… I am fairly sure I knew of the tire slashing.. maybe Im confused now .. the delineation is not as vivid anymore with so much information swimming in my head now.

        04/06/2013 at 1:55 pm

To my recollection – The police were called by Travis and Lisa but never showed up (or took too long to show up) so there is no official report or proof that JA did it, just the suspicion. Mimi Hall got it on the record during her testimony that all thought JA was responsible and she was stalking Travis

      • 04/06/2013 at 1:57 pm

yep yep that’s how I remember it too.

      • Crystal Harris
        04/06/2013 at 4:11 pm

I had heard some attorneys opine that the reason is because it was never proven that JA slashed the tires. It’s a crime she was never charged with nor convicted of.

      • 04/06/2013 at 4:16 pm

ah ok insufficient evidence. Bummer about that!

    • NancyB
      04/06/2013 at 2:50 pm

Agree with Chrissie & Syn. I’ve repeatedly read that Juan is not using the stalking as he can not definitively prove that she did it even though we all *know* that she did. She personally testified to her stalking snooping behavior of looking in the sliding glass doors in the back of the house, watching Travis & Mimi making out. Lisa got it on the 911 tape and also testified to it on the stand and about her entering the house unannounced and then seeing Lisa there and running out. Juan doesn’t want to take the chance of appeal on this issue in a death penalty case. He’ll remind the jury of the evidence that reliable witnesses have already testified to.

    • Observer
      04/06/2013 at 2:52 pm

Mimi Hall testified for the state that Travis told her he had a stalker but he didn’t name her. She said the stalker had crawled through his doggy door, followed him on dates, slashed his tires, slashed his girlfriend’s tires, hacked into his bank account and Facebook and sent threatening emails to his girlfriends. When Lisa Andrews Diadoni testified for the defense, a juror asked her if Jodi was Travis’s stalker and she said yes.

    WhereIsSHE :,

An innocent person, sitting on death row, and then having their life wrongfully taken by the state, is a nightmare of epic

I wrote of the Innocence Project and I thought I was clea, by listing the countries that kept the death penalty, what I thought of it. Having a death penalty and having 20 years between conviction and execution strikes me – as I hope it would any reasonable person – as absurd. Maybe we could save all the money spent on lawyers and appeals by eliminating it altogether and spend any efforts on false convistions for people in prison without parole.

I was being somewhat facetious about bing-bam-hang ’em, because of what I perceive to be an equally absurd extension of the process on the other side. I am not the only one who wants WOBO hung after the trial, but that’s an emotional response and one shared on on a forum for such discussions and rants.

Believe me, I’ve studied the Constitution and the philosophies of government all my life. I am more than acquainted with the history of wrongful convictions as well as the history of the death penalty in the USA. I read Posner and Dworkin, Holmes, Wills and Rawls for pleasure. I think its a tad presumptuous to suggest that my comment is based on insufficient information. Closer reading and more tolerance is my suggestion.

Im have yet another question well compound questions before I sign off for a bit.
Assuming (and it’s certainly no done deal I realise juries come back with some weird decisions) but assuming she does get found guilty just hypothetically, who decides if it’s DP
or is it LWOP? Is it the judge? and if it is the judge I’ve got serious doubts if this judge has the testicular fortitude to rule DP. She seems to stop things when it’s to the defense’s advantage and make many rulings in their favour.

It is the jury who decides life or death and in AZ the judge cannot overrule them.

In Flores Interrogation he told JA more than once that she came sooo close to running into Ryan after the murder. He keeps asking her if he was home when she left Travis’ house. She didn’t answer for a long time but at one point she says “Maybe he was home”.

    • 04/06/2013 at 1:50 pm

      • 04/06/2013 at 1:55 pm

oh and good about the judge I’d rather it be in the Juries hands to be honest. As long as they don’t downgrade it I’ll be happy if they find her guilty and its LWOP or DP verdict. I will respect them for either decision but anything less I will deem somewhat of a Travis-ty.

    WhereIsSHE :

Yes, all true. For civil trials in AZ jurors are now allowed to discuss and deliberate in the juror room from day one. A similar bill for criminal trials was put before the Az people but it did not pass.

In our United States of America if you are accused of a crime and taken to court, you are told you have the Constitutional right to a trial by a jury of your peers. Yes, you would be tried by a jury of your peers, but what the Constitution actually says is this: “In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed. . .” (Amendment 6)

Note that nothing at all is said or implied about a jury of “peers.” The kind of “impartial” jury the Founding Fathers had in mind was to be judiciously selected from the better-informed, if not educated, and fair-minded members of the community, an English Common Law practice harking back to the 12th century. In modern-day America, that tradition has taken a different twist. Jurors sometimes selected for criminal trials nowadays are not just our peers in the common sense of the word, but also, by design, the most gullible, swayable, undiscerning, unintelligent jurors possible. (think OJ & Casey Anthony)

Jurors are sought out, by the defense, as those unsure of their own reasoning skills so that they can be easily manipulated, convinced “lurid” demonstration of innocence includes the notion of “reasoned” innocence. In that respect, our justice system fails those on trial and all of us. Defense attorneys want jurors bereft of any skills of cognitive reasoning or logic, and in the above mentioned cases they got them. Never have a lawyer and client been better matched then Baez & CA

During voir dire defense atty’s seek to exclude people with college degrees, situational awareness, and especially military personnel for a purpose. Maricopa County arguably has one of the largest concentrations of retired professionals (doctors, lawyers, accountants, military officers) in the country and when this trial is over it will be interesting to see how many of them made the jury. Often if you read the voir dire questions that are used and the peremptory dismissals (those kept out) you will see how the jury was stacked. I hope to do that after this trial ends.

Unless we get back in line with the tradition of jury selection as understood by the Founding Fathers, travesties like the Casey Anthony, OJ Simpson, Al Capone and other hyped-up murder trials—the list is long—will continue to make a mockery of American criminal law. All of which confirm my thoughts that we need to begin a national dialogue about potential jury reforms that are reasonable and realistic.

To my way of thinking, working to improve the jury process is one positive step to reducing the probability that dysfunctional juries will make absurd decisions. The OJ & CA verdicts have acted to undermine our criminal justice system; when a verdict is not consistent with the facts presented during trial our criminal justice system suffers. I personally am offended when a hollow platitude is offered, such as “this is the system we have and we must respect the juror’s decisions.” I do not respect decisions that are arrived at with flawed logic, bias, and ignorance of the legal instructions. To me, that indicates a system problem that can be explored and worked on.

Maybe a professional jury pool of trained and willing individuals who are paid a respectable daily rate for their work on a trial is the answer. I’ve heard others that believe the remedy is to place legally educated experts in the deliberation room to guide the jurors through any misunderstanding of the law or lack of comprehension of their responsibility. Another idea floated as a remedy involves interaction from the judge—after the jury reaches the verdict, the judge would meet with them to determine if they used proper criteria and objective reasoning to make their decision. If they have, the verdict is then announced in the courtroom. If not, they go back to work or the judge declares a mistrial. Justice must never mirror Evil; Justice must always be a mirror for Evil so that all may see.

    • 04/06/2013 at 3:25 pm

I agree COMPLETELY with every word. Here’s hoping we move to change the selection criteria.

Two questions: what did JA do with her bloody clothes ~did I miss that somewhere?
And during one of Flores interrogations he told JA that a neighbor saw her that day at Travis’. She said she did not know the neighbors. I thought to myself what a dummy you do not need to know them for one to see you!!! At the time I wondered if he was testing her, but now, maybe not.

Thanks to Chris Stark here is the roommates statements.

This one is very interesting! 6:00 pm June 4, 2008 Enrique said when he got home around 1800 hrs./6 pm She had to still be there when Enrique came home on the 4th!!!!! Also, I thought that I remembered that Flores wrote in his report that the roommates reported that they found the air conditioning on full blast (to help mask smell of decomp)

I’ve wondered if JA didn’t have music blasting to mask his screams and the gunshot??? I remember Flores saying recently that Zach had a huge amount of guilt about his not investigating the inconsistencies that he kept noticing and just ignoring them. that he felt very stupid about that and felt huge guilt. I felt badly to know that. I can only imagine. I can’t remember where I heard that – was that in the interrogation videos??? Anyone else remember???

Hello All….finally! We’ve been computerless for two days and had to agonize watching the sideshow via HLN!! What a joke that program is!! That old nag on the stand is from our generation…..what an embarrassment!! She must have taken too many “trips” and never came out of it because she’s still back in the 60s!! Geeeezzzz Loueeezzzz….wake up…it’s the new millinium!! And she needs to get rid of the Bugs Bunny look because she already looks like and old jackass!! While the old nag was on the stand it gave us a chance to read through all the comments on the IPAD. We can use it for reading, but trying to type a comment just doesn’t work for us. Anyway…..we read a lot of comments about JM’s cross of the old nag and this is our take after watching it……as soon as he got up we screamed at each other….JM is on deck!!!…..so immediately we sat down to listen. We also looked at the clock because as the minutes were ticking away and fat ass (Willsnot) was still ho humming her way around trying to come up with more stuff to talk about just to wind the clock down, we assumed he wasn’t going to be up until next week. So it was 4:00 when she finally walked her lumpy cellulite ass back to her seat (that comment is for the mitigator who is reading our messages!). So he didn’t have a lot of time and we know he wasn’t about to show his cards so the defense could go home over the week-end and do homework for their re-cross on her. He did just enough to rile the old bag and gave her a taste of what is yet to come. He got enough out there to show she’s as much a fairy tale as her long winded testimony! We knew he wasn’t just going to let those last 30 minutes go unused. We think that was the calm before the storm…..and for you old nag…..you either make the decision to answer the questions or you better bring some extra Depends with you because you’re going to piss all over yourself just as Elmer Fudd did!!

Oh and by the way…..we went to that link regarding the petition to shut down her seminars and while we were there we read through some of the messages left. We found one that indicated that when La La Toilet (or whatever her name is….old nag to us!) approached Samantha that the comment she made was , “it wasn’t personal”…..WTF and WHO THE HELL DOES SHE THINK SHE IS?!! That was the actions of a person who is guilty! She knew damn well she should not have taken this job…..but for the money…..she sold her soul to the devil….money talks for her!!! If that had been one of us….we would have slowly stood up, looked straight into her eyes…..and said very calmly throw clenched teeth and said, “get the “F” otta my face!!

They think they’re being funny but what they don’t realize is they may have gotten a laugh out of their so called followers in the room, but remember…..NO ONE on the jury cracked a smile and they are the ones who will be calling the shots…..not you…and not those nut cases and ex-jail birds you have sitting in the courtroom!!

Go get up’ Juanito!! Show them what justice is all about…..It’s called TRAVIS ALEXANDER!!!

      oh my!!!!

CCc La La Toilet (or whatever her name is….old nag to us!) approached Samantha that the comment she made was , “it wasn’t personal”…..WTF and WHO THE HELL DOES SHE THINK SHE IS?!! Not PERSONAL????? this trial means everything to that poor family! Just cos Lala toilette has chosen to detach herself from the horrors inflicted on Travis does she expect his family has too????????????????????????

WTH was she thinking assuaging her guilt in that way!

Oh and I thought the same thing without being privy to the possible content.. I thought Samantha should have stood up and in a loud voice demanded “Can you please leave me alone” to bring attention to what Lala land was doing.

One last thing… Self defense? She walked away with cuts on her hand (self inflicted when her hand slipped on the bloody knife). Travis was stabbed 27 times, two self defense gashes to his hand, a slit throat, and a bullet in his head.

    The rest respectfully snipped
    …………………………………….

I saw Travis’ autopsy photos and he had cuts and stab wounds on the bottom of his feet. This really troubles me because it means he was crawling on all 4’s in a desperate attempt to get away from arias. She had to have been on the floor too but because she was in such a murderous frenzy she continued to stab him anywhere she could. Does this make sense?

I have a question and I hope someone answers it: I’ve seen arias referred to wobo several times. What does wobo stand for? Thank you.

Picture him kicking at her before he went down trying to grab at the knife and kicking to keep her away from him……hence the cuts to the bottom of his feet. Kicking at someone who is attacking you is a natural reflex and defensive move. So sad……..

Thanks. I didn’t think of that. This breaks my heart. The fear and pain Travis must have felt. I never met Travis, but truly care about him, the justice he deserves and for his poor family, who are witnessing him being slaughtered again. The defense and their so called experts know no shame and dignity.
