        Donshais I have never posted here but I check in regularly each morning to catch up on what I have missed. Just wanted to Thank You for all your hard work and information.

      • 05/22/2013 at 3:19 pm

        I actually felt the same way — but Katiecoolady said that Ryan Owens asked her some direct questions – the only one who seemed to be willing. I did watch it — he had her so uncomfortable that it was worth watching

    05/22/2013 at 10:38 am

    good morning, dear leader. Is it safe for me to go back in the water? Did you see WOBO used the word “contemporaneously” in her interview? Too funny.

    05/22/2013 at 10:45 am

    Morning all ********waves*********** I was literally bounced off here and my computer shutdown mid comment last night 🙄

    I have seen, unfortunately a couple of clips of interviews and have read some transcripts of the JA show and all I have to say, is please give her the DP soon!!!!!!!!! I want her to cease breathing on this earth. I am so disgusted that she was given the opportunity to do interviews at all and I hope that no one watched or watches. Enough of the tormenting of the Alexander family, you piece of shit!!! 👿

    putting myself in naughty corner for that last word ➡ arrow: ➡ 😦

    I admit I watched a snippet online and was so disgusted, I had to flip it off. Did the jury hear about Jodi kicking the dog at 14?

    • Nienna
      05/22/2013 at 10:55 am

      No. I don’t believe so.

    • 05/22/2013 at 12:42 pm

      Actually, I have a sickening feeling that she did more than merely kick poor Doggy Boy, I think she killed him. I remember her saying that after kicking him that she “never saw him again.” What dog just up and disappears after being kicked once? No, I think what she did was much more sinister than a kick–as heinous as that is to begin with.

  6. Kristi
    05/22/2013 at 10:53 am

    I’m not going to watch the interviews either, but snippets are playing on every news outlet. She said her reason for going to the media was that she wants other women in “her situation” to “document it.” I confess to being an ID channel/true crime junky and never, ever do true victims of DV say the main lesson is to document it. They all say get out! Get help.

    Donchais, thank you so much for providing this forum. It has helped keep my own sanity by having an outlet and kindred spirits to chat with and I’ve enjoyed ‘meeting’ some really neat folks here from all over the world. You do an outstanding job of screening out the rif-raf, because everyone here is neat!

      Yes, thanks so much, Donchais. This blog has been a saving grace for me. My husband thinks I am way too wrapped up in this case, but I feel sane when I read your blog & everyone’s posts here! We may really need the support of this blog if no verdict is reached today. I just pray there are no more interviews. I tried very hard not to watch them, but I can’t help myself. Anyway, thanks again to you and everyone here.

    Wouldn’t be surprised if JA requested a transfer to a northern California prison
    so it would be more handy for her family to visit!!
    Death! Please put her in a cell for
    23 hours a day or she will be turning her time into a lifetime healthclub and she will be
    the leader of a self-improvement club!!

    • MMD
      05/22/2013 at 11:18 am

      Amen!!! She is still running the show and it makes me ill. According to the PIO in the sheiriff’s office she demanded makeup from the jail and they had to go out and buy it. That literally came from the PIO.

      That poor excuse of a human being didn’t show one ounce of remorse yesterday and my heart aches for the Alexander family. I want someone to do a show on that family and what they have been and are still going through. They have kept quiet for 5 years and shown nothing but dignity and respect in the courtroom. They are forever changed. I know I would not have been able to show the class and dignity they have if I was in their shoes. If former juror #8 who was on Dr. Drew is anything like how the rest of the jury is feeling, they aren’t buying what JA and her team were selling.

      BTW, I heard last night somewhere on HLN that her stuff had already been packed at the jail and she will be moved immediately to prison, no matter what sentence she is given. I really hope they bring her into court in her stripes and fully shackled and then once the verdict is read, we never hear another thing about her. EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! 👿

      Justice for Travis.

      • Schaeffer
        05/22/2013 at 11:25 am

        MMD — can you get me the quote about the makeup? I’d appreciate it.

      • MMD
        05/22/2013 at 11:46 am

        Schaeffer I heard either Beth Karas or Jenkasaurus tell either JVM or NG when they were on last night. It might have been NG since I think I posted about it last night. I wouldn’t know where to look for a quote though, sorry. 😦

        All I know is that it came from Sheriff Arpaio’s PIO directly and she had the list in her hand that showed which journalists that had asked for an interview and the ones checked that JA was going to grant interviews to.

      05/22/2013 at 12:32 pm

      CA will NOT take her. The prisons are already overflowing and by court order thousands of prisoners had to be released last year due to overcrowding. Very doubtful that she will be transferred in my opinion.

  9. Dewey
    05/22/2013 at 11:07 am

    Her family’s visits to her should be as uncomfortable and hard on them as Travis’s family’s are to his grave.

    Humanitarian Jodi donated her hair to cancer victims. Now it is time for her to donate all of her usable organs to others who actially deserve to live sooner than later.

      05/22/2013 at 11:27 am

      Let’s hope there would not be an evil transference. Even my 90 year old mother has said she has a hard time looking at her eyes because there is something scary about them.

    • MMD
      05/22/2013 at 11:39 am

      PK if only it was possible. Someone suggested earlier that her organs should be donated but apparently the phenobarbital and whatever else they may give her prior to her execution makes her organs unusable. If I’m wrong anybody, please let me know???

      How about a good old fashioned hanging cause I think that would work????? 😀

    • NancyB
      05/22/2013 at 12:34 pm

      If she gets the death penalty then her organs can not be used for transplant. The drugs used in administering the lethal dose destroy major organs and all parts of the body.

    Unfortunately yesterday had a trip scheduled (ALL Hodi’s fault, trial was supposed to be OVER). I did tape HLN and zipped thru until her SNL parody was over but I never expected it to be so late (silly me, should have known better). Has JM’s statement or Wilmott’s been posted on youtube. I tried to find it last night but was having no luck. Thanks. Oh yes, I cannot wait for the Alexander Family to give their statements AND JM and I also want to read all the UNSEALED chamber shenanigans and I so want the jury to know ALL the things that had they known beforehand, would have made their job even easier.

    ~~~~Morning ~~~~
    I have not seen or read a word of the interviews, except for the comments regarding same posted here. The ABC one must have been interesting. CC said WOBO called the interviewer a “hater”, or implied it anyway. I hope WOBO managed to slam the judge, just to ensure she will be sent away forever!
    If you need a good chuckle, do check out Mikee D’s video … he makes a few good points!
    Our sweet Bubble got pretty worked up last night. As I told him, WOBO is getting away with this crap because she is still in jail. Soon enough she will be toted off to prison and her life will change COMPLETELY!! She will be nothing more than just another POS convict. She will have a terrible time adjusting! We, on the other hand, will delight in moving on, reveling in our freedoms and supporting the Alexander family. And, at long last, Travis will rest in peace. Tick…tick…Jodi, your time in the spotlight is almost over.
      • MMD
        05/22/2013 at 11:56 am
        Rain, rain and more rain but my dandelions were finally mowed. One of mind has decided that when I’m propped up here that the place to be is under the covers, under my knees, with his head sticking out. Guess he finds the electric blanket a tad warm 😆
        Isn’t it amazing how they always have the most comfy spots in the entire house and WE move to accommodate them! 😀
        Not that we would consider them spoiled or anything 🙄
      • HJ Madison
        05/22/2013 at 12:04 pm
        I know! But it is the BEST excuse in the world not to move — they NEED US, right here! Love it!
    • 05/22/2013 at 12:24 pm
      Morning, HJ … she most certainly said “I didn’t realize you’re a hater.” (Or words to that effect but HATER was definitely said). I think she was surprised because she Ok’d the list of outlets SHE wanted to speak to … in other words, no questions-that-may-actually-expose me from approved media.
      Small consolation but I am glad she got her knickers in a twist over that question. Pfffft!
  17. Allison
    05/22/2013 at 11:44 am
    I was remembering when Ted Bundy’s judge was sentencing him to death – the judge said something like – You would have made a great lawyer, too bad you chose a different path. And it made me think of when Willmott said something like – Jodi would have made a great lawyer that she (Willmott) would have liked to have worked with. It is just funny how Jodi is so much like Ted Bundy.
    • MMD
      05/22/2013 at 11:50 am
      Scary isn’t it Allison and in the end, he tried everything possible to live. I thought Bundy did go to law school prior to his arrest or was it a prison paid education??? 🙄
      • HJ Madison
        05/22/2013 at 11:55 am
        He went to law school. I don’t think he finished though. Has Jodi even gotten her GED (high school equivalency)? Oh right, like teaching other inmates Spanish, she has been too busy in the last 5 years with her trial pending and all …. :0=
      • MMD
    Good Day Everyone!
    I had to walk away yesterday…… I am soooo over this POS HODI.
    Nothing less than DP!!
    All last night and this morning I have been singing out DEATH PENALTY DEATH PENALTY
    DEATH PENALTY over and over
    This jury should only have to discuss each mitigatin factor, right? Just like Juan had to only focus on mitigating factors? That should not take too long, there weren’t many of them!
    Wonder how Oprah feels about the ho taking over her “book of the month” club! LOL
    Wonder how the Pres feels about all the press SHE is getting…
    She has herself (and others, apparently) believing she is GOD.
    This MUST STOP!
    Morning all. Looking forward a verdict today. Unfortunately I saw the today show ja piece this morning. again with the ja – i’m-so-much-smarter-than-other-people-but-i’m-really-not crap. I did get a chuckle though when she said her lawyers where going to file an appeal implying her lawyers believed she her verdict was an injustice (and perhaps they do) but … in all actuality the state files her appeal automatically. The chances of the Numri or Willnot being involved with the appeal is slim to none for a billion different reasons.
      TJ: Ummm… I think Jodi has an entire law firm looking after her every need! Right? I mean, c’mon, we all know what a mis-carriage of justice this is! I bet the Innocence Project asked her to be on the cover of their next newsletter!
      • truejustice
        05/22/2013 at 12:23 pm
        I honestly believe that is a huge reason for all the interviews. If she cannot find someone to pro-bono her case or get enough fans to pay for her legal defense. Cause unless she does she’s stuck with the same court appointed public defenders as anyone else.
  24. 05/22/2013 at 12:20 pm
    Morning all. I guess the idea of stopping the interviews is pretty much moot after all. I’ll still post my facebook plea with the numbers. Also, I’m writing a piece to send out to various outlets. I have a few ideas of the nut, but if anyone else wants to add a point or two; contradictions, lies, etc, let me know and I’ll incorporate them…what would you like to point out?
    Jodi Arias, convicted killer, now on a media blitz while jury deliberates her death sentence. This devil mercilessly slaughtered an angel, Travis Victor Alexander. Please call AZ Governor Jan Brewer: 602-542-4331 and voice your disgust. And if you care, why not call Attorney General Tom Horn: 602-542-5025, and suggest he get a handle on this circus, whose master is a psycopath bent on slandering a good man’s name. Remind them their state is being held hostage by a convicted killer, and “America’s Sheriff” is abetting it!
      Judge Sherry K. Stephens has a Support Page on Face book (a blog with comments). Although they disclaim the judge manages the page or has anything to do with the content, I think the administrators may have some association with her (clerks maybe?) and so you may want to comment your views there…
      Yesterday the comments were filled with angry outbursts against the judge lifting the ban. The administrator response was the judge had no choice, because they could have faced a civil rights lawsuit. But I think that’s BS… The judge & the Sheriff could have stalled that interview if they wanted.
      Anyway you may want to post your objections there.
    Goodmorning all!
    I just turned on HLN and they are showing clips from the interviews. 😦 It made me so upset that I had to turn the sound off. Before I did that, I did hear her loud and clear blatantly trashing Travis again. My heart hurts for the Alexanders. They have not had even a day where she has not upstaged the true and only victims without being upstaged by this lying piece of trash. I wish HLN had not chosen to actually keep running these snippets. This is beyond despicable.
      Nancy morning 🙂 You are the absolute expert at finding out info. I heard either Beth Karas or Jenkasauras tell someone on HLN that the PIO from Sheriff Joe’s office that JA asked for makeup and the prison had to go out and buy it for her.
      Schaeffer asked me if I could find the quote. I looked on HLNtv.com and goggled it but couldn’t find anything, just a lot of comments about her being concerned about her makeup. See comments 19-21 above.
    Lalalalalalaaaaaaaaaa i aint listenin’ or reading or commenting on unmentionable’s interviews. Im sick of her insulting crap. She insults the Alexanders, she insults our collective intelligence, she insults my personal intelligence, she insults everything redeemable in mankind. She lacks every human trait I deem worthy of possessing.
    As far as I’m concerned once this penalty is handed down, aside from postmortem trial discussion and using her as a case study of how a doppelgänger of humankind CAN and DOES exist she will, to me, cease as an independent entity of free will. Irrelevant beyond scientific and educative purposes.
      Morning darlin’ 😀 This is the Memorial Day weekend for people in the States and I want the Alexanders to FINALLY have the verdict they want so desperately so they can spend time with their families and friends, finally rid of an AZ courtroom and living out of a suitcase.
    One of the responses in my facebook inbox this morning. This one from author Sheilla Weller:
    “Hi, John…I’m glad it helped. As for Jodi Arias, the media blitz seems to me (and clearly to the virutally mocking media) to be ridiculous on her part, and patently so. I actually am not going to place that call — A, I’m out of state, and B, I do trust the state of Arizona, the state that elected Gabrielle Giffords. We have relatives in that state who read my FB so if they see fit, they can call? ( Maureen A Malloy Amy Mangin Malloy Heather Thompson Malloy?) However, let me take this opportunity to say that this case has had me thinking of what the death penalty, which I am in favor of WIH asterisks attached, is for, and WHO it is for. I am in favor of the death penalty but my bar is pretty high — “egregious” cases ; to me I know that that means multiple murders completely senseless and crruel in nature (i.e., not even a relationshiop between victim and murderer) by patently dangrous and remorseless people. Rodney Alcala. The home invader murderers of the doctor’s family in Connecticut. Ted Bundy. Others. This one has me thiking…”
    Good afternoon to all my CallsForJustice friends. I join with you again in prayer for wisdom for the jury to give this Monster the correct verdict. Praying for justice, for the vindication of Travis’ reputation, and for peace and comfort for Travis’ family. Praying today is the day the Monster gets shut down once and for all!
    Of the clips I’ve seen the ABC interview was the best. That is one I would like to see all of because Ryan Owens was pretty ruthless from the little I saw of it. He apparently interviewed her for an hour. He asked about why she made herself look all frumpy for the trial, and told her that no one believes a thing she says. He even asks her if she’s so intent on giving the Alexander family closure, why doesn’t she just accept the death penalty and give them the closure they want.
    What I’m curious about is in the appeal process if she gets a new trial, what on earth could a new defense team come up with as a defense? In this case it started with PTSD and Battered Women’s Syndrome and then by the end it morphed onto Wilmott agreeing with the prosecution’s expert who said she had Borderline Personality Disorder. And the horrible childhood she had suddenly disappeared when Jodi did her show and tell. She continues to speak glowingly of her family in these interviews. It seems to me that anything a defense team could come up with could be directly refuted by Jodi’s own words which are recorded everywhere.
    • HJ Madison
      05/22/2013 at 12:52 pm
      Charity, not to worry! The only way Jodi will ever get a new trial is if it can be PROVEN that the jury somehow misbehaved during the trial. She is and forever more will be convicted of 1st degree murder. Soon she will be carted away to her new “studio apartment”, curtesy of the good people of AZ, never to be heard from again!
      • 05/22/2013 at 1:04 pm
        at least sounds like someone who didn’t pander to her…. now if all the interviews asked serious questions… the interviews would take on a whole different relevance.
        Interspersed with letting her ramble and hang herself… a balance of both is what’s required.
    • Jay
      05/22/2013 at 1:10 pm
      I liked the part where he said “no one believes a word out of your mouth, so why do you keep talking?” (in interviews like this one).
      For a retrial, all she’d care about is getting into the limelight again (it’ll be another five or ten years down the road, either in solitary death row confinement, or among a general population of hard-time lady felons who mostly look like Donovan, but may be more ‘demanding of affection’ if you get my drift); from a defense team POV, probably focusing on a nutso defense, using BPD, and some new defense expert who will claim she had an overpowering temporary knife-slicing and gun shooting compulsion, which led to the killing, a manslaughter verdict and time served as the hopeful outcome…
        Was that to prove her literacy skill? Look I know how to spell “Survivor” so can I please go on the show?????
        Survivor from DP.. or LWOP… I’d even let Nancy Grace could host it!
    Good morning all. Did not see anything but still appalled by the whole circus. If anything else on Juans close yesterday.I’d say that he skirted the whole “art” and “skill” issue. He sorta passed over it and I wish he had attacked it as if she had said she was an astronaut or an engineer or a lawyer. By even giving her the right to call herself a “poet” or “artist’ it maligned everyone who actually fills those worthy professions. If someone had made a career of “making art” and then was in this position, it would be a different case. At least an argument could be made about the “sensibility” of the person who had “made” or ‘created” things that other people found life affirming. This wobo just grabs onto notions of an “artist” or a “photographer” since she would have liked to have been one, she proclaims that she was one. That presumptive arrogance should have been attacked more forcefully. She has no skill or artistic ability–certainly none that has been developed or nurtured or sacrificed for. That tee shirt was an embarrassment to designers and an insult to those who truly have been victimized. Her pretensions to being “artistic” or “creative’ are not unique. Thousands of grifters crowd Los Angeles or New York with similar proclamations. However, even they, have more reason to use the language since many actually came for that purpose. Wobo never did one move in her life for “art.” Not one. And it is insulting to those who have done so, to have any court even refer to her in that vein.
    • Robert exits Rotterdam
      Hi ReR, you know I was really troubled by this too. But, quite frankly, her art obviously sucks! The pictures she chose, where she did not trace, really stink and I don’t think the jury will see them as anything more than crap. And, to use junky “art” as a reason to live — really? That is all she has?
    Im starting to have mixed emotions regarding her getting the DP. I believe she’s earned it, but if she gets it, Travis’s family will never have peace again because of the many appeals which she will drag out for years to make them miserable. I dont really care if she becomes queen of her cell block if she gets LWOP as long as shes never heard from again outside of prison. I just want his family to have some peace however they can get it.
      that’s the wobo version of the DP on Travis family. I think beyond her one appeal, she’ll get nothing. There is not a chance in hell she will ever get a new trial. The courts have upheld the AZ DP process. Best thing for her.
    • 05/22/2013 at 1:14 pm
      Dewey either way they will never have peace until if and when the DP is administered. Unfortunately that’s the reality because Jodi is who she is.
      She can appeal to her hearts delight in EITHER case – it is who pays the bill — and you know she will do her own legal work! But, understand, the only way the Alexanders will be involved is if, if, she were granted a new trial. Otherwise, they carry on until they are notified of the execution.
    MMD… On the makeup issue… It’s from HLN transcript
    GRACE: Jodi Arias just escorted back into the Estrella jail. Right now we are on a verdict watch here on HLN as we wait for a jury to hand down sentencing, life or death for Jodi Arias. Beth Karas, what`s this business about her demanding hair and makeup to do a satellite TV tour?
    KARAS: That`s absolutely true. I was talking to the public information officer, Lisa Allen (ph) of Sheriff Arpaio`s office. And she was the one who was talking to the media in the hallway, while the jury is deliberating, but she had gone back to talk to Jodi and ask her who she wanted to interview with. She had a whole list of people. And Jodi Arias, I saw her notations, crossed off some and wrote OK beside others. And then Lisa Allen said she demanded makeup, and I said really? And she said yes, we had to go out and buy her makeup. So they went to provide her with some makeup for these TV interviews.
    GRACE: You know, Jean Casarez, I do not believe the Constitution gives you the right to makeup. OK, I can`t hear you. But if I could read your lips — go ahead. Now I can.
    CASAREZ: All right. Can you hear me now?
    GRACE: Yes.
    CASAREZ: All right, Nancy. I think she`s worn makeup for every single interview that she`s done. If you look closely at that interview she did minutes after she was convicted of first-degree murder, I see lip gloss on her lips, so I don`t think this is anything new.
      During an appeals process – no new evidence is considered. They only look through the procedural things. Was the jury partial, adequate defense team, judge ruling did not bias the case etc.
    The ease with which wobo handles attention is so telling of all her fantasies and hopes. There are gofers actually getting stuff for HER; she has people apply make-up for HER; she tells the MEDIA who SHE wants to talk with. It’s “as if” she had accomplished something and was now “ready for her close-up.” People will listen to HER.
    What it took to get to this point, of course, gets swallowed up by the enablers. That she is a version of “king kong” or “the bearded lady” that is being shown to the world, hasn’t hit her. She thinks she’s Angelina Jolie or Hilary Clinton and people really want to hear what she has to say, rather than gawk at her.
      Hi Truejustice! I’ve been meaning to tell you for months how much your comments have resonated with me. Actually, HJ & I have been going round this specific issue since the past weekend! From HJ’s excellent comments I’ve always believed that she works in some capacity in the legal field and have deferred to her understanding of the Az law and statutes as I have NO real legal knowledge base.
      Yet this time, after what I read about Az law last weekend and especially after hearing what Juan said yesterday, I have been soooo concerned about this very thing. I’d so prefer for this jury to hang rather than give her life. I’d so much prefer that if this is the case and that another jury be impaneled. Death for Jodi.
    I think they should call wobo out and ask her how serious she was about “offering” her hair to others. Jury just wants to know, Wonders if she’d allow one of the women jurors to come down to the floor and take wobo’s head and shear her hair the way the Nazi sympathizers were treated in France and Holland after WWII. Right down to fuzz. Then they want assurances from the Judge that she is in WITHOUT any parole.
      The judge isn’t too bright, as far as that profession goes.
      Her evaluations from various judicial watch organizations are modest at best.
      Her legal education is also C+. Most of her ‘legal’ experience was during her years in the Attorney General’s office. And on the bench she’s alternated between criminal cases, and family law cases.
      And for sentencing, again right in the middle — rarely gives the severest penalty available. In other words, lawyers like her. Other then that, no flashes of brilliance.
      The highest marks she got were compatibility issues with lawyers — defense and prosecution. On
      You bet! Especially after Juan’s comments yesterday in his closing and JW’s objection that the Judge then overruled to that objection. Then followed by the Judge’s *conflicting* rulings on this very ISSUE in Juan’s closing AND JW’s rebuttal. Because the Judge then proceeded to overrule Juan when he made an objection to this same issue in JW’s rebuttal. I worried ALL night that this was reversible error. I pray I’m wrong with my miniscule knowledge of the law.
    Having read and re-read that code …. it is SO confusing! One thing to know though, Jodi has driven this Judge crazy! And, she is FULLY aware of all Jodi’s little antics. If the jury unanimously decides that the DP is not appropriate, the Judge will sentence her and my guess is, based on all 12 jurors finding premeditation, the judge will go for LWOP.
    • truejustice
    • 05/22/2013 at 2:15 pm
      the thing is… if this could go either way as Donchais pointed out.. if this is an issue in deliberation for jurors it could be from two view points.
      Firstly it could be jurors wavering about giving DP and arguing.. “well she gets to spend her whole life in prison”
      OR
      Could be jurors saying.. “No we have to give her the DP or she might get out and we do NOT want her out under ANY circumstance”.
      • 05/22/2013 at 2:18 pm
        zegactly.. and that coupled with her objection that Juan was “mis-stating” the law and the judge over ruling.. ie saying “NO he is NOT mis stating the law sit down”
    If life .. Judge will decide life or life without parole.
    * If life 25 yrs. (credit for time served not mentioned)
    * If life without parole – there is no release , no good time etc. AZ does not have a parole board – life is until dead . Juan did clarify … she has a legal right to seek release ( would be governor approved and has happened before in AZ, or laws can be changed)
    I mean the role of the Judge was completely missing from her instructions! She said that the jurors alone were the deciders (GWB); life or death since the aggravating factor was found. If that factor hadnt been found the Judge had a role to play but I thought yesterdays instructions removed the Judge from the equation. Now today, has the Judge been placed back in the equation?
    05/22/2013 at 2:14 pm
    I just now watched the yesterday’s court proceedings, and have not read any of yesterday’s comments, so forgive me if some of this has been previously stated. Sometime, a girl just has to speak her mind.
    WOBO’s little speech was sophomoric, in both content and form. It was on a par with a remedial English class composition on “How I Spent My Summer Vacation.” She is a poor writer and a poor speaker. Her sentences were short and choppy, nothing flowed, and why she couldn’t manage to get her photos in chronological order is a mystery. I guess she thought she would copy Juan, Stephen, and Samantha, and deliver a “multimedia” presentation so we could all be impressed with her technical skills, but it was like watching a slideshow accompanying her “Summer Vacation” essay. My takeaways —
    Until WOBO’s mother saw Travis’s family in a car at a stoplight, and until Stephen and Samantha spoke, WOBO didn’t realize any of them were in pain? Has she not seen them in court every single day? Did she forget the memorial service? She didn’t know Travis’s grandmother was dead? Of course she knew she was dead; she probably knew it within 24 hours. If Mum Mum were alive, wild horses couldn’t have kept her from the courtroom. Where the hell did you think she was, WOBO? Did you think she just lost interest? You think there is a chance you were “inadvertently” a factor in her death? You were more than a factor, you were the CAUSE of her death!!
    Did WOBO honestly expect the jury to have gone blind and deaf, not to mention stupid, forgetting all the venom she spewed a bout her horrible, abusive childhood, and the many looks — or rather non-looks — she has exchanged/not-exchanged with her mother everyday for nearly 5 months? I guess she got mixed up about that wooden spoon in the purse story — “Now that I think of it, jury, mom wasn’t carrying a wooden spoon, she was carrying a camera so she could take photos of me and my darling siblings on our many wild and wacky adventures, or during all the traditions we celebrated, or when they were just goofing around like any fun-loving family. Weren’t we such cute little tykes?”
    All that crap about old boyfriends was pointless, unless she was trying to remind the jury “I didn’t kill ALL my exes.” Who cares if she and Bobby had to live in a freezing cold house for no other reason than WOBO didn’t want to follow the rules for living at home with her parents; they had a rule that she had to go to school and she couldn’t skip class to be with her boyfriend. “For heaven’s sake, jury, who could possibly live with those kinds of rules being enforced? I deserve a medal for being young, uneducated, stupid, poor, and a belligerent slut!!” The other stuff sounded like one long journal entry, written by a 14 year old girl. All that shit about old boyfriends and dancing to songs the band dedicated to them had nothing to do with anything that mattered. When she talked about her little brother being born, I swear I thought she said “After [the doctor] swallowed him . . ..” I think she was trying to say “swaddled” to impress everyone, but she mispronounced it, as she is wont to do.
    Her list of all the wonderful improvements and enhancements she could bring to the table were laughable. As she read them, my only thought was “You could have been doing all those things before you were incarcerated, but you were too self centered. The only reason you are even willing to “help” now is because your neck is on the line.” As far as I can tell, her only talent or gift is the ability to grow hair.
    And y’all know I could not let her talk of her artistic talent go unmentioned. WOBO, here’s a hint: if you make a sketch of a well-known person, and then have to explain who it is, it isn’t very good. And the t-shirt! Silk screening purple letters onto a white t-shirt is NOT “designing.” Spelling and designing are not the same. Look it up in your thesaurus! I guess they will be framing those to hang in John Dixon’s gallery, right next to the Picassos and the van Goghs!
    .
    Now, I know what words came out of her mouth near the end, but here is what she MEANT:
    “I have been thrilled to talk about all the kinky sex I’ve had. I looked so hot in those pictures, didn’t I? I am delighted all those e-mails, text messages, and that incredibly HOT sex tape were made public and will stand forever as a public and permanent testament to my obsession with Travis. It has been a THRILL knowing the whole world has been watching, and listening, and reading all about ME! ME!! ME!!!”
    She never said she was sorry, only “I’m going to be sorry.” — like she’ll pencil it in when she gets around to it. And when she said “Stephen said he doesn’t want to look at his brother’s murderer any more. If I get life, he won’t have to.” I screamed, “He won’t have to look at you if you get DEATH, bitch!” She has the logic completely backwards; it is a perfect example of how she can twist words until they have no resemblance to their true meaning.
    All in all, I think it was an epic fail.
    • 05/22/2013 at 2:27 pm
      oh yes you said that yesterday. So Im assuming what you are saying on that is if it had been 12 straight pre-meds this would not be an issue? Kind of ironic if that is the case because I think those felony/premeds were a statement by those 7 jurors as to say.. you should have got out of his damned house not killed him so you were trespassing too.. PLUS we believe you planned it.
      Just my take on those verdicts could be wrong of course.
      It’s too late to cover her ass.She made a fatal mistake when she refused to sequester the jury. All those daily questions she asks them about seeing anything about the trial in the media, or anyone talking to them about it are futile attempts to close the barn door after the horses have bolted. A penny-wise pound-foolish decision on her part.
      No matter what the verdict,death or lwop, one or another of the appeals courts will reverse it. Hopefully they give Arias a death sentence, so she’ll be in solitary death row confinement while the appeal wends it way through the system, and at least she’ll have five or six years of cruel punishment during that time.
      • donchais
        05/22/2013 at 2:44 pm
        You do realize “Jay”, no jury in AZ has been sequestered for over 23 years???? Her “fatal” mistake is AZ dictate! What would you have this judge do…go rogue to fit your definition of a good judge?
        Sorry, you are wrong here!
      • Jay
        05/22/2013 at 3:07 pm
        I hope I am wrong.
        But in that 23 years the legal climate concerning sequestration has changed through out the rest of the U.S. Arizona was still deferring to law established in cases like STATE v. JUST (138 Ariz. 534), decisions made before the invasion of mass media into the court system, at a time before live streaming of testimony, and courtroom tweets. More recently tstate and federal appeals courts have been sending murder cases back for retrial, especially in high profile cases where juries weren’t sequestered; and of course many States have enacted mandatory sequester laws for capital cases.
        There’s more, but hearing what happened in the court now, this isn’t the time to explore those issues..
    zegactly.. and that coupled with her objection that Juan was “mis-stating” the law and the judge over ruling.. ie saying “NO he is NOT mis stating the law sit down”
    would just exacerbate what you are saying HJ.
    BUT after Juan’s comments yesterday in his closing and JW’s objection that the Judge then overruled to that objection. Then followed by the Judge’s *conflicting* rulings on this very ISSUE in Juan’s closing AND JW’s rebuttal. Because the Judge then proceeded to overrule Juan when he made an objection to this same issue in JW’s rebuttal. I worried ALL night that this was reversible error. I pray I’m wrong with my miniscule knowledge of the law.
      NancyB.. the problem is.. you are very astute in your observations “miniscule” or not…. let’s just hope this clarification has gone some where to rectifying it.     I just got off the phone with one of my best friends who has stage 4 breast cancer, since October of 2009- She IS amazing, and has the best attitude (and humor). I got her hooked on the JA trial by making her watch the interrogation vids! She called to LAUGH about JA’s “power point”- and said that there was NO way she has made 3 donations! 1st, they need 10 inches of “uncolored” hair. And NEVER has she had super short hair while on prison. So she is going to call “Locks Of Love”, and check it out… Oh Jodes, you are such the humanitarian!!!
        05/22/2013 at 3:52 pm
        She is Her2 positive. She was diagnosed originally stage 2 in 2005- she opted for a mastectomy, (even though her team felt a lumpectomy would be sufficient) and received chemo- Her margins were clean, so her prognosis was very good. In Oct. of 2009, she fell and broke her femur (they now know her femur broke, and caused her to fall). The cancer had metastasized to her bones in her spine, and liver (several small liver mets). She is now taking Xeloda, and has been stable until last month, her tumor markers are climbing. The crazy thing is… She feels great, and looks as beautiful as always- her her attitude and humor is something we all admire and embrace.
    Hi all- Quick question if anybody knows… I know if the jury comes back with life, then the judge decides between life with or without the possibility of parole. My question is: On what does she base her decision? Is she only supposed to consider things that are on the record? Does she include things that happened outside the presence of the jury or in chambers? Does SHE have to follow the admonition? Can she consider things reported in the media? My daughter and I are very curious about this. Thanks!
    The code reads that if the State asked for the DP (they did) and if Jodi is found guilty of 1st degree premeditation (she was) and if she is over 18 when killing occurred (she was) and the jury found an aggravator (extremely cruel) the only options are DP or LWOP. However, Jodi was ALSO found guilty of Felony murder so now the options are DP, LWOP or “Life”.
    I assumed since all 12 found premeditation it would only be DP or LWOP …. but because of the Felony, I guess Life was added???
    If the jury finds unanimously DP is NOT appropriate, then the Judge is left to sentance to either LWOP or Life.
    Here is the code:
    Premed = 13-1105 Sub A, para 1
    Felony = 13-1105 Sub A, para 2
    13-752. Sentences of death, life imprisonment or natural life; imposition; sentencing proceedings; definitions
    (L12, ch 207, sec. 3)
    A. If the state has filed a notice of intent to seek the death penalty and the defendant is convicted of first degree murder, the trier of fact at the sentencing proceeding shall determine whether to impose a sentence of death in accordance with the procedures provided in this section. If the trier of fact determines that a sentence of death is not appropriate, or if the state has not filed a notice of intent to seek the death penalty, and the defendant is convicted of first degree murder pursuant to section 13-1105, subsection A, paragraph 1 or 3 and was at least eighteen years of age at the time of the commission of the offense, the court shall impose a sentence of natural life. If the defendant was under eighteen years of age at the time of the commission of the offense or if the defendant is convicted of first degree murder pursuant to section 13-1105, subsection A, paragraph 2, the court shall determine whether to impose a sentence of life or natural life.
    Probably one or more than one of the jurors lost sight of what they signed up for in the eleventh hour and bought into the “you will be killing Jodi” crap the defense tossed at them. This trial is Arizona Vs Jodi Arias and Arizona will be carrying out the punnishment not any one of the jurors.
    As far as finding another jury, when I flew into Tucson AZ it was the first day the jury was out
    for the first verdict. When I got off the plane, I asked two different people if there was a
Good lord, this is about justice for a victim whose life was taken with extreme, premeditated cruelty. I get that she is mentally unbalanced. But she drove over 2,000 miles to kill him and then cover it up. LIed for YEARS. Still lying. She knows right from wrong. She doesn’t care.       05/22/2013 at 3:32 pm
      You can make Comcast stop. We did it with Mediacom, our cable provider. We got everyone we could to contact CNN which owns HLN. Cable companies cannot sell you a subscription for a channel and then hijack any portion of it for another purpose. You are paying for HLN in your cable bill. You are not paying for Newsmakers. In our community Mediacom had to move it to a community channel. It will take awhile, but it works if you all insist.
      • Elexa
      • Charity
        05/22/2013 at 4:08 pm
        We learned that writing to our cable company was a waste of time. CNN was what worked for us. The cable companies can’t make money by selling CNN’s programming and then use that channel for another purpose. I think the cable companies are getting some sort of grant funding for this Newsmaker stuff and that’s why they do it. Now they can only have a brief commecial for the Newsmakers thing during a regular commecial break and they direct you to another channel if you want to watch more of it.
    This jury has seemed to take a lot of time to come to its decisions. That indicated to me a thorough review of the jury instructions, some back-and-forth about the evidence, and then a vote. So, I am surprised that they claim a deadlock so very early on. Given their earlier decisions, I feel that their momentum was for the death penalty. Could this indicate one hold out? Didn’t the Scott Peterson jury have one holdout that was removed in the penalty phase?
        Thanks for responding! That too, would NOT bother me BUT i do totally agree that she is a HUGE danger to the community of free people. If ever free again and if she focused her stalking antenna on someone I don’t believe that it would be jurors BUT they would assist in fueling her RAGE.
        No, actually that’s exactly how I meant it. I mean this psycho bitch feels “betrayed” by Travis, she kills him.
        What’s she going to be plotting against the jury who “betrayed” her if she’s only locked up for 20 years?
        She needs to be dead.
    MMD :
    According to a spokesperson they said it would be at least 3, only 3 years before she could get into general population.
    Yes …. but ONLY if she can behave! I don’t think she can — look at her! Prison is SO different. EVERYONE there is a convicted felon. Prison is run like a boot-camp. The minute she tries to take control, and she will, she will be pounced on!
      05/22/2013 at 4:30 pm
      Yeah but HJ we haven’t run into as many master manipulators as good as JA. She’ll have everyone doing what she wants and still thinking it was their idea. She is just that good and being such a chameleon, she’ll adapt her manipulation tactics to her new circumstances.
    • 05/22/2013 at 4:36 pm
      I don’t… she strives to hide what she is really like. She has done it her whole life.. look what extent she went to when someone was going to out her.
      Her life’s challenge is to get people to believe she is not what she is. she would see three years of good behaviour as just another challenge, just another game to play to get her way and to dupe the lesser mortals around her.
      I would put money on it.. she would be out in general population in pretty much record time to comparative and similar ‘crimed’ inmates
    Even when you know they are bad, you often don’t connect all the dots. My best friend’s husband was a pathological liar. Everyone, but she and her family, knew it. It was outstandingly obvious. Ten years and two kids after their marriage, he tried to kill her (poison 2x and then hired killer). She survived, he died of suicide-by-cop. I never got from pathological liar to homicidal liar. My “crazy” meter is pretty sensitive now, but I didn’t pick up on the depth of ja’s psychopathy. Not until the School of donchais et al. Thanks all for the continuing education.
    A British soldier was just beheaded by two muslim fanatics on a London street and the PM said that there was a “strong indication that it was a terrorist incident” PC gone awry. If cutting someone’s head off isnt an act of terror I dont know what is. Same with the Christian-Newsomekillings. The sheriff said “absolutely” it wasn’t a “hate crime” but if that wasn’t a crime filled with hate, what is? Our language is being debased along with our sensibilites
      Yep another example of Newspeak.. hijacking the english language and narrowing definition of words to accommodate media perceptions.
    Hi all, still no sentence. Please some one died; poor Travis. How horrible please RIP. Also poor Jodi how could someone so pretty, do what she did? Her upbringing? Her mind set? No one has the right to do what she did. A handsome man dead and a pretty young girl who’s life is also over. I feel so sorry for both as well as the families. I live in a country where there is no death penalty, but l have a personal view of it. LWOP. This is just my personal opinion. I mean no disrespect to those who have a different view. AZ chose to give the DP to a woman who gave her husband with cancer drano to drink and then beat him on the head till he died. Thats what the citizens of AZ felt about that convict., given their instructions. Many of us expected similar treatment in this case. When in Rome….
    I just took this Olof of the “Locks for Love” website. Note the restrictions re: dyed and bleached, hair…. Hmmm… JA had long, bleached hair in 2008. Dyed it brown, had “auburn highlights”, you all know the “hair history”. So, how is it that she has been able to donate 3 TIMES?
    GUIDELINES FOR ACCEPTABLE DONATIONS
    Hair that is colored or permed is acceptable.
    Hair cut years ago is usable if it has been stored in a ponytail or braid.
    Hair that has been bleached (usually this refers to highlighted hair) is not usable.  If unsure, ask your stylist. We are not able to accept bleached hair due to a chemical reaction that occurs during the manufacturing process. **If the hair was bleached years ago and has completely grown out it is fine to donate.
    Hair that is swept off of the floor is not usable because it is not bundled in a ponytail or braid.
    Hair that is shaved off and not in a ponytail or braid is not usable. If shaving your head, first divide hair into multiple ponytails to cut off.
    We cannot accept dreadlocks. Our manufacturer is not able to use them in our children’s hairpieces. We also cannot accept wigs, falls, hair extensions or synthetic hair.
    Layered hair is acceptable if the longest layer is 10 inches.
    Layered hair may be divided into multiple ponytails.
    Curly hair may be pulled straight to measure the minimum 10 inches.
    10 inches measured tip to tip is the minimum length needed for a hairpiece.
    Printable Guidelines (PDF)
    Please Note:
    Shorter hair will be separated from the ponytails and sold to offset the manufacturing costs. Although the shorter hair cannot be used in the hairpieces, it still greatly helps to reduce costs.
    Gray hair will be accepted and sold to offset the manufacturing costs.
    Colored hair is not usable if it is colored over bleached hair.
    Because Locks of Love creates custom hairpieces for each child, we are unable to accept donations of wigs, falls, hair extensions or synthetic hair.
      05/22/2013 at 5:10 pm
      Anyone can mail an envelope of hair. They simply throw it away if they get unusable hair. The guidelines are intended for rational donors to determine whether or not they should waste their time. WOBO may have sent in her useless bleached hair, or she could be lying. The jail has to inspect all outgoing mail, just like they examined the magazines, so they have a record of what she mailed and when. It shouldn’t be too hard for Juan to find out if she lied during her ‘not under oath’ elocution if he needs to go there. I’m still praying that he won’t.
