How is Jodi doing at the moment? I have not heard about her for a while now. Nor have I seen any new photos or video.

Still sitting in her little cell. There is a status hearing on the 16th…Nurmi and Willmott want to delay until January. Hopefully the judge will set a date to start jury selection, but have a feeling not much will happen until the fall.

we should send her to a country that would get this trial over. This was the biggest waste of our american tax dollars ever. I can still she her fake crying and smurky little smile. I for one will not watch to see what happens, she just needs to go away. Sorry I have no time for people who maliciously murder another person.

lets send her another prison in another country to wait for her hearing…like maybe the prison where VanSloot is…maybe a prison like that will make her want to get this over….:)

    07/07/2013 at 8:06 am

As long as she is on lock down for 23/7 and not getting any special privileges then I can live with that for the moment. I wish they could stop her tweeting (via ?) though.

Since JM has probably kept them totally up to date, I hope that the Alexander family is using this break to get some type of normalcy back in their lives and try and recover from the grueling trial.

      07/07/2013 at 3:13 pm

Indeed MMD. Enough of her nonsense. Reading books for 23 hours is not doing any good to her. Where is her Einstein IQ? I will read a book in two days. Her twitted sucks. Yeah, she is receding a lot if letter but she can’t find nobody to testify on her behalf. Pleeeease!

I remember reading somewhere, but I have forgotten. Is Estrella jail airconditioned? It’s been incredibly hot recently. What kind of tweets has Jodi been sending?

I was wondering if the jail was airconditioned too. does anyone know??

Donchais, I totally agree with you. As long as she locked 23/7 I accept . I just wish she uses her daily hour better than twitting. She needs to realize that nobody cares about her.

OK, here’s a question…you are so anti Travis and so pro Jodi and for more than 6 months, none of your trash comments have been allowed through…wtf do you keep trying to put a comment through? It’s trash talk and stupid…you are the village idiot and the village is out looking for you! By the way, does the home know you’re gone? Because you are!!!

Way to go Jersey Girl!!!!! You Rock.
How has everyone been? Hello to everyone. Happy belated July 1 and 4. Is that Syntara/Cyn? I thought one of those bird eating spiders got you on the way to the mall. So glad you are back from walkabout. Hey beans/ beans rontash? and MMD. Beans were you a Pete and Geets fan from CFNY(was that the station?) A trip down memory lane.
Well I was on a serial murder movie spree on netflicks. Didn’t bother with the schlock. But started to watch Dexter. Any Dexter fans out there? I have a question for those who watched. Did anyone find Rita very annoying and was happy to see her dispatched by the Trinity Killer?
MMD seems mother duck is off and a way. I hope she has laid more eggs.
Did the mustard pickles turn out ok? For those who made them up.

There is my post. Well if Rita was well liked by everyone. I have shown my true colours. l I think she was annoying.
Hey MMD are you up? How are things in PEI?

      • 07/08/2013 at 10:00 am

Yes!, someone remembers Pete & Geets. I worked a night shift and got home just in time to listen to them every morning – the funniest guys ever on the radio – Beans Rontash is a tip of the hat to them (back then I also had a cat named Geets Romo)

    Hello everyone!
Read somewhere, can’t remember exactly, Estrella is only air conditioned in the guard stations. can’t help but think of WOBO in the heat. Not sure, but is that not the prison where a woman left out for four hours, died of heat exhaustion? Someone else may know.

My friend Griz wrote me and posed an interesting Q: “Why do people find it so easy to hate but so hard to love?”

Sorry to hear that Mama duck is gone. Been absolutely melting in PEI. Temps over 100 with not a drop of breeze. Absolutely unheard of!!!!!

      • dpforjodi
        07/08/2013 at 10:50 am

        I wonder who is MCSO?
Over 100 in PEI. It’s been hot here for a few days. But great when there is a breeze.
The ducks down the street didn’t make it either. Which really bothers me. About 3 weeks ago the ducks started mating again and the mother has been missing so hopefully she has been laying eggs.
As for ho ho, Griz says why is it so easy to stab someone 29 times, almost cut off their head and then shoot them. Do I ever hate her.
So glad you found Rita annoying. I thought I was going over to the dark side.
I have also been watching Justified. The Killing and The walking dead. and Breaking Bad. Can you recommend any other series?
Does the heat give you migranes?
Do you think Cyn is Syn? Maybe I should ask her. I hope she is Syntara. I really miss her.
Well I have to get back to my art projects, no not tracing photos and colouring. Driftwood Ogo Pogo. Soft sculpture mermaid and paper mache cats. Hopefully I will finish something. If you are missing Juan I could make you a life size anatomically correct Juan.
What are you doing to honour Travis’ birthday on the 28th?

      • MMD
        07/08/2013 at 11:21 am

Love Justified. Actually bought season 4 from iTunes because the dvd doesn’t come out til January. Breaking Bad is so good. Trying to avoid any publicity about the last 8 shows of the series – same with the last season of Dexter. Going to buy from iTunes The Americans. Deadwood is a good series but it got cancelled – still worth watching. Going to watch Rectify and House of Cards. Also like White Collar, Rizzoli & Isles (lighter fare).

How do you like Netflix? It’s hard to see what’s available unless you sign up and it seems to be a few seasons behind.

        07/08/2013 at 11:27 am

  17. dpforjodi
    07/08/2013 at 11:39 am

Do you get On Demand with eastlink. Because season 6 and 7 of Dexter is on there. Netflix goes upto season 5. The Killing is on Netflix which is excellent. Breaking bad picks up on AMC On demand.
Netflicks Canada has about 75% of the US one, which sucks.

    07/08/2013 at 11:43 am

Deadwood has Ian McShane in it who I like, so I will start watching that too. But I am staying up all night. My cats are confused.
    How are the babies?

    • 07/08/2013 at 11:58 am

pete & geets were on another station before cfny, (which was great), think it was chum-fm, but i’m having a senior moment and can’t be sure right now. been following the Z trial and rebuilding my music files by ripping hundreds of cd’s, the local library has an excellent selection. my kid tells me “Game of Thrones” is good too but i haven’t checked it out. it is hot here as well but making it worse is the vicious humidity – numerous days of it with no let-up in sight. i loved “Deadwood”

      • dpforjodi
        07/08/2013 at 12:12 pm

Well I will check those out. The Killing is worth watching.
Yes you are right about CHUM FM, then Pete and Geets moved to CFNY. I use to listen to CHUM FM in highschool. When did CFNY come about. Having a senoir moment too. I remember getting bored of Chum FM and moving onto CFNY in the mid 70s, I am so dating myself!!!!!
Well goodluck with your music files.
Not watching the Z trial. Too worried about the race riots that will happen if he gets off.

Hiya Beans. Didn’t mean to ignore you. I suppose you are enjoying an AA day since with the humidex it is around 97 in your area. How have you been keeping?

    • MMD
      07/08/2013 at 12:34 pm

You will discover that a lot of the people in Deadwood, which stars Timothy Olyphant, show up on all the good cable shows that I watch. No I don’t have on demand with Eastlink and have all the dvds for Dexter but haven’t watched 6 & 7 yet because I’m not a fan of Colin Hanks or s n a k e s although there were a few nasty scenes with them in the first couple of eps of S4 of Justified. Have to recuperate from that but need to get at it. Maybe I’ll do that this pm. Your cats will get used to it. Mine understand when mama is on a marathon. 🙂

Not watching the Z trial either but did watch Friday because the mother was supposed to testify. From what I have seen, if I didn’t know better, I would swear the pros was throwing the case. He’s gonna walk though which makes me ill. Guns and/or race – just don’t think that way and will never understand it. They have a punctual judge though who could teach Judge Stephens some lessons!!! 😯

Babies are good but can’t convince the heaviest one that it is cooler to lie on the ceramic or hardwood than to lie on mama. 🙄 At least it is cooler today. We’re simply not used to humidity and it has been brutal on everyone as well as my head.

As for JM, yes I would like a life size replica (I’ll send you the EXACT proportions) as he has been so busy. 😳

      • 07/08/2013 at 12:51 pm

hey MMD, not feeling ignored, hope you’ve been well. Too funny re: the life-sized anatomically correct JM replica, but i’m an innocent, whatever would you do with it?

      • MMD
        07/08/2013 at 12:59 pm

Admire the proportions and remember the real thing 😳 until I see him again.

      • 07/08/2013 at 1:12 pm

MMD, you’ve convinced me to give ‘Justified’ another chance. haven’t watched ‘The Killing’ but I will, I thought ‘The Bridge’ looked interesting too, it starts on FX this Wednesday.

      • MMD
        07/08/2013 at 1:42 pm

Beans – so glad to hear that. 😀 I think that once you get into it, you will be hooked!!! (and I’ll be able to say I told ya so) It’s also a mini reunion with so many from Deadwood. There are so few decent shows on these days that I end up preordering the dvds for the few shows I do like. Have no interest in vampires, supernatural, crappy procedural/comedy or realty shows. As a result I read a lot but I find that quite a few of my favourite authors are not publishing as often as they used to.

I don’t do change well 😦 Never have!

      • MMD
        07/08/2013 at 1:44 pm

Ray Donovan looks kind of interesting and is supposed to be the next great series. I don’t get HBO though.

      • 07/08/2013 at 2:18 pm

Go ahead, like all guys, I love getting “I told ya so’s” from women, damn it, I’ve gotten so many. I don’t get HBO anymore(it’s packaged with the Movie Network in On. which I cancelled in favour of Hollywood Suite, couldn’t afford both) either, but I always appreciate Liev Schreiber’s work and thought ‘Ray Donovan’ looked interesting. I’m with you on the vampire/supernatural stuff. I’m reading Mary Roach’s new book “Gulp” right now. If you’re not familiar with her work, she’s a hysterically funny science writer. Her books include: Bonk – sex research; Spook – the afterlife; Packing For Mars – space travel & Stiff – death. Awaiting the new Virgil Flowers from Sandford & Mickey Haller novel from Connelly – just finished new books from Dave Barry & Carl Hiaasen.

      • 07/08/2013 at 3:22 pm

This comment is a little after the fact, but I think, “The Sopranos” and “Band of Brothers” are the two best series ever produced for TV.

    • 07/08/2013 at 12:36 pm

it definitely is an AA day which i’m enjoying at this moment. chum-fm was a great underground station before it went commercial – remember Reiner Schwartz? – another great dj. whew, going way OT here. what’s “disco?”, i must have missed that.

      • MMD
        07/08/2013 at 12:39 pm

I feel left out. I only listened to plain old CHUM. Have no interest in Game of Thrones, nada!

      • MMD
        07/08/2013 at 12:40 pm

Disco is kind of on par with rap imho. Crap!

        07/08/2013 at 1:09 pm

Reiner Schwartz was great, didn’t he have a tv show for awhile? And did he just not come into work one day. Vaugely remember something there. Glad you missed disco.

      • 07/08/2013 at 1:21 pm

yeah, there were many rumours about why Reiner left, he dropped a bunch of F-bombs on air too. He was on JazzFM for a few months 2 or 3 years ago and was still great but disappeared again.

Beans hae you ever listened to Coast to Coast AM. I use to listen to it in BC, but when I moved to NFLD, I couldn’t get it. I just found a free station which rebroadcasts 24 hours a day.
Funklbaldy51 Radio. Not sure if its your taste.

    • 07/08/2013 at 12:42 pm

hah, been listening to it for years – back to the early Art Bell days. stations in TO and Hamilton carry it plus i’m close enough to the lake that i get stations from St. Louis and West Virginia at night. for music now i listen to Jazz 91 FM out of TO – check it out online – they stream – if you like jazz – great station, people from around the world listen to it.

      • dpforjodi
        07/08/2013 at 1:17 pm

I will check that station out. I love anything Antonio Carlos Jobim.

      • 07/08/2013 at 1:31 pm

Me too re: Jobim. This a great station. The weekday morning host is Heather Bambrick, a seriously funny, talented newfie singer. We have regular jazz concerts in Brantford at the Sanderson Centre plus an annual 3 day international jazz festival (which is held just a block from my apt.) where she has performed – a very gifted singer.

A Newfie jazz singer, now I’ve heard it all. I’ve got to catch that. Peter Lance was on Coast to Coast. He is very interesting.

    • 07/08/2013 at 2:27 pm

I wouldn’t have mentioned the ‘newfie’ thing but she celebrates it and plays off of it, & she is a wonderful vocalist. I like Peter Lance too but I miss Art, George is a nice guy but not as good an interviewer imo.

      • 07/08/2013 at 2:31 pm

    07/09/2013 at 2:05 am

greetings, all. I’ve been in hospital for waaay too many days, so I am just now catching up. I was so out of it I couldn’t have told you my own name, let alone follow current events, so it was much easier to come here to catch up than slog thru weeks of news. My sympathies to all who are suffering through heat and humidity; the weather in my area is beastly as well, and even though it is par for the course, it doesn’t make it any easier to tolerate. I think old people should have their AC provided by the government!

    • MsDeb
      07/09/2013 at 9:12 am

Hope you’re feeling much better, Schaeffer…and that last suggestion is great! Stop overspending on invading other, smaller countries & provide heat in winter and AC in summer…

    • MMD
      07/09/2013 at 12:45 pm

Schaeffer I hope that you are feeling so much better and continue to improve. I agree about the AC but being a Canuck I don’t get a vote.

Where I live, our a/c is to open the window because it is always cool at night but ya have a tendency to forget about that on the occasional days that there is a heat wave and I miss my central air I had when I lived outside Toronto.

It seems like the weather around the world is changing drastically and not for the better. I hope my little island stays afloat 😉

Please keep posting updates as to how you’re doing Schaeffer!!! 😀

MMD waking up to this blog is my morning ritual too. Sadly, it doesn’t take as long to read now. I finished watching Dexter and I understand the Colin Hanks thing. The start of season 8 is great. I started watching Ray Donovan, WOW!!!!! Love it. And butchy Shane from the L Word, BONUS!!!!! Listening to jazz91fm Beans. Good station you were right. When were you ever wrong! Listening to the traffic report brought back memories, But Heather isn’t on,
Schaeffer I hope you are on the mend. Hi to all the other peeps at the University of Donchais.

No way would I give anything away. I hate it when people do that. I had a friend that told me the ending to Fatal Attraction. So, I boiled her.
There is nothing on regular tv. I like some of the stuff on BBC , the mystery network and ID.
Another nice day. Now on a Walking Dead marathon. Vampires no Zombies yes.
So what are you planning on doing on Travis’ birthday?

This is off-topic, but very eye-opening. The link is to a video and photos of sindy & georgie-boy selling off ‘unwanted’ items at a garage sale…and, sure enough, some of Caylee’s things were among the items sold…if this doesn’t prove beyond any doubt that these two ghouls aren’t and never were ‘grieving grandparents’, then I don’t know what does..

Hello All….good to see a lot of you back!!

Just the ol hens popping in to say hello. Wanted to report on our oldest Hen who had recently two medical close calls and needed to have 2 stents (sp?) inserted. She cleared her second procedure with flying colors and is feeling much better than she was prior to the first emergency procedure! She’s keeping up with the rest of us and joining in our activities now. It’s so great to see her smiling again.

We hope you are all doing fine as we wait for the final phase of this bitch of a trial. The only thing that will put the cherry on top is to see this sicko done away with and finally wind up at the actual Prison to wait it out. We read up above some of the tweeting she’s “supposedly” doing, but we truly believe that’s probably one of her family members putting that crap out. Also we don’t believe she has the followers that she thinks she does!! Yes….there are some other whacos out there just as batshit crazy as she is and wiling to hitch their wagons to any dead horse they find. These are the nuts JackAss refers to as her “followers”…..Hah!! If that’s the audience she calls friends then better they follow her than bother other people in the world!! They’re all Delusional!!

Whew….we needed that!! Felt good to vent again!!

We’ll be popping in from time to time as we get closer to trial. You all stay safe and we’ll touch base again!!

Hello Donchais, has the cicada situation abated yet. I use to loathe those insects too. I have a funny story regarding them. One summer I had a big fence put up in my back yard so my cats could go outside and not escape, they had all been indoor cats up until then. My youngest one, a peke face persian wasn’t out 5 mins before she caught one. To hear that high pitched whatever that noise is they produce cut short when she crunched it in half was priceless.

Beans you have my deepest condolences if you suffer from back problems. There is nothing worse. My back occasionally goes into spasms and I have meds but find that heat wraps work so much better but nothing compared to your’s. Sending you massive healing and pain free vibes!!!!!!!

    • 07/12/2013 at 1:51 pm

Thanks for the vibes. Surgeons told me many years ago that I had a 50/50 chance of ending up in a wheelchair if they operated and advised me to live with it – the science has progressed since then – but I have, in fact, learned to live with it (this was in the 80’s, the day the Challenger blew up was the first time I experienced any problems) I developed a very nice painkiller addiction, which I managed to defeat, and now refuse to take anything. I’m always in some degree of pain but if I’m careful, (changing my bedsheets can cause me more grief than anything) and walk a lot, things are usually good.

      • MMD
        07/13/2013 at 10:38 am

It’s amazing how much a person can learn to live with isn’t it!!! Everyone has something. Kudos to you for kicking your painkiller addiction as it is a trap so many fall into. I am so glad there is a crackdown on prescribing/pharmacy shopping etc. Get that well brought up son to change your sheets. He did mine. 😉

      • 07/13/2013 at 12:18 pm

It is amazing. I had an epiphany many years ago after reading a book about chronic pain which equated the problem to the stages of grief one experiences – after that I realized the situation could own me or I could own it, so I took control and after a two weeks of hell, came out on top. I couldn’t agree more about the painkiller crackdown, my daughter is an oxy addict.

      • MMD
        07/13/2013 at 3:59 pm

Sorry to hear that about your daughter. Sadly it is a very common addiction these now. I hope she is able to overcome it eventually. I have never taken it and never will. The scary thing is that no matter how much you crack down, there will always be a supply. The major problem is that you have no idea what it is mixed with, could be rat poison. Then you throw in all these illegal online pharmacies (esp. in the U.S.) and it’s a hell of a mess. Thankfully, a lot of them have been just recently shut down by the DEA.

Your attitude is the one to have because it is so easy to succumb when you’re in pain.

I have to confess though that I do have a serious diet Pepsi 0 addiction although I do switch to caffeine free after lunch or I’d be bouncing off the walls 😯

    Hellooooo folks!1
A great story for u all. I bought a new condo and on the deck was a pot full of grass, twigs etc and I cleaned it out, filled it with dirt to wait for planting time. Well along comes a big huge Canadian goose, mama goose! I had filled her nest with dirt! We watched the babies hatch, and saw them pushed off our 3rd floor balcony to start their way in life.5 young were born and all made it to the lake about 6 blocks from us! This was 16 years ago now and it;s like it was yesterday. we will never forget our year of the Canadian geese. They never came back and we found out they had been coming to this deck for 11 years prior to us. Also the next year a male honked and walked around our parking lot for a week straight and we all thought that he was the mate of our female from the year before. They mate only once and never again if their mate dies or so we were told. We always hoped this lone male had nothing to do with our family of Canadian Geese.
The nice things in life help us forget the Jodi Arias’s, even if only for a short story. Have a great weekend all!

greetings back @ ya MMD! Have u been watching any of this GZ trial on HLN? All hoping for a verdict very soon now, though it doesn’t have the attraction that the JA trial did.It does however remind me a bit of what the OJ Simpson verdict meant to the US at that time.

I am but I am watching it on http://www.wftv.com/s/zimmerman-blog/ (which is where I watched Casey Anthony) and CNN. I would never go near HLN!!!! Haven’t followed it as closely as OJ but have now done a complete turnaround on it. Really surprised myself.

  49. 07/13/2013 at 8:26 pm

I do have to add today how great it truly is to know that Jodi Arias is behind bars for the rest of her life. No it won’t bring Travis back to his family, friends and loved ones but they can maybe sleep better without the nightmares and maybe in time they too will diminish for good.
I do wonder if Arias has ever really had a moment where she has admitted to herself the honest truth of that day. My thoughts and prayers go out the the Alexander’s each and every day for all they had to endure throughout this whole ordeal. Jodi Arias never did deserve even one precious moment of Travis’s time in his life.He was far too good for the likes of that!! The only thing i have wished is that he had seen her for what she really was before it was too late but alas his heart was too big and she was so evil. Rest in Peace Travis.

Don’t you think if Trayvon was getting the better of a fight that George instigated if GZ could have just threatened or shown Trayvon that he had a gun Trayvon would have backed off? Who goes shopping to Target with a loaded gun in their pants? Why are blockwatch volunteers allowed to carry guns? I have so many unanswered questions and such a very heavy heart.

    sad sad heavy heart.

vindicated my a@@!! try NOT BEING HELD ACCOUNTABLE.
I heard some talking head speak of how these jurors “did what they were supposed to do, ie, presume innocent until proven guilty” GZ did not do that when he was out playing Barney Fife. He presumed TM was guilty. Didn’t even TRY to claim otherwise!

    What a shame.

  55. 07/14/2013 at 5:44 am

Does not sit well with me. I don’t get the gun carrying right/need at all. He was certainly responsible for that boy’s death and again the defence has brought up that Trayvon was no innocent young boy and muddied his memory. Ah Trayvon, like Travis, was not on trial and did not have any opportunity to defend themselves against whatever the defence could bring up about them. Bring on JA next week and that circus back in the ring ASAP.

Getting ready to get back on AZ time. Hope Judge Stephens took some lessons from FL as to how to run a trial in a speedy manner!!!!!! I’m sure she couldn’t have missed it since it was on everything in the country so she has no excuse. 😯

  60. 07/14/2013 at 8:16 pm

My thoughts on the GZ verdict. If a person is into killing someone do it in Florida! They love the word NOT!!!m WTH happened? Angela Corey should have picked her prosecution team much better. The news stations have all said she sounded very insincere in her speech after the verdict.Let’s not forget that the state didn’t want to even charge GZ and did let him go home the night of the shooting! Justice truly failed Trayvon July 13th, 2013. I hope Trayvon’s Mother is going for a civil suit against GZ! I have to add that his Mother came across as a class act IMHO! Such a tragedy foe everyone! The 6 women on that jury should go home with heads hanging in shame!

    • 07/14/2013 at 9:55 pm

The only consolation we get will be when “what goes around comes around” and GZ will eventually get his. As it is he won’t be able to show his face because he’ll have to watch his back big time! Too bad the judge isn’t trying JA. Imagine what would happen the minute Willanurmi starts her whining….”Shaaaaaddup and siddown!!” Ha ha ha…..would love to see that…..just once!!

  61. 07/14/2013 at 10:23 pm

If Zimmerman had been a black dude, patrolling his black neighborhood, and had shot a cracker trying to beat him up, well, we white folk dare not comment on it for fear of being labeled a racist.

Remember, it was racists that were trying to frame OJ for double homicide, and the threat was “no justice no peace.” And in that case the commentators said that justice had been served. And it was a black jury that acquitted him. Where were the allegations of racism? Where was Rev. Al?

Why not in the Martin/Zimmerman case? The threat, again, is “no justice no peace,” and Zimmerman had better watch his back. Why? The jury spoke. Is that not the standard in US jurisprudence? Well, its racism, once again. And if we say its not, then we’re racists.

If I go to North Philly, for any reason, the cops will pull me over. Why? Because I’m white. Because its profiling, and its racist. But why doesn’t Al Sharpton come to my defense? Because he’s a racist. And he thinks only black people are discriminated against. It doesn’t matter that Zimmerman was a Whispanic; he wasn’t black.

Why doesn’t the maniacal media report on that double standard? Because they’d be called racist and the Rev.’s Jackson and Sharpton would march and call for boycotts and lawsuits.

    Hi to all!

Judge Sherry Stephens has rescheduled the status update hearing for the case, moving the court date two days earlier than previously planned. The Maricopa County Superior Court announced through its Twitter account that the date for the Status Conference and Motion to Continue Trial for Arias’ case was now set for July 16. The Court failed to elaborate further or explain what motivated Judge Stephens’ decision to change the date of Arias’ hearing.

Good morning everyone. Beans, I am sorry about your back problems. It’s good that you beat the meds. I was on Tylenol 3’s for several years after a car accident and find now that naproxen and orthotics works for me. I do wish I could wear my crocs to my wedding.
Well it looks like Florida did it again.
Please tell me that the hodi hearing or whatever it is today will be televised and she will be wearing her stripes.

Morning dp! Are you having the high heat and humidity like we are? Can this court decide and stick with anything? First the date is the 18th, then that was changed to the 16th and at the last minute, changed from 8:30 to 10:30???? Hello………………… no wonder nothing gets accomplished 🙄

You do realize that crocs are the worst thing to wear for your back no matter how comfy they are 😯 So obviously you have set the date – you gonna share it with us???

I think that Mama Duck needs to be fixed. She is not a fit parent, she loses her babies and takes them to dangerous places like the middle of the road!!! DPF (duck protective services) needs to be called and soon!!

        07/16/2013 at 7:05 am

LOL, yes I have DPS on speed dial. Really, crocs are bad for your back. Yes, the date is September the 16th. Spending the wedding night in St Pierre.Well at least I can say I left the country. No big todo, town hall. Good thing is she feels the same as I do. We’d much rather be at home with our cats.
It’s 64 degrees here. I want to paint the patio furniture today but it just clouded over. Hopefully I’ll get it done before the hearing and the wind picks up.
Donchais, are you covering the Andrea Sneiderman trial?
        She is another wack job.

      • MMD
        07/16/2013 at 7:33 am

Yes, really crocs are bad for your back!!! I always thought they were good for your back but nope 😦 If I ever did it again I would do it the way you are although I prefer my dogs to most people so can’t see it happening. Love that you can say you went abroad for the honeymoon 😆

No donchais is NOT covering Andrea Sneiderman unless she changed her mind. She told us ages ago that her next trial is a federal case that isn’t being televised that will be in Sept. and she has been following for many years. (If I’m wrong, I’m sure that donchais will correct me)

It has been sickeningly hot and humid here although we have a north wind going today that I truly hope sticks around.

I just looked it up and you don’t need a passport and they take Canadian $. Now the only worry is having to wear a dress and driving onto and off the ferry, She refuses to, so I guess I’ll have to man up. Are you going to watch the Andrea S trial?

      07/16/2013 at 8:24 am

Dunno. She is an odd duck isn’t she? I would rather watch jury selection for the penalty phase for JA. I’d like to see Judge Stephens get a pair and get this case settled so that the Alexander family can finally go back to their lives and not have this hanging over their heads.

JM has a case starting the end of July that may be televised. I’d rather watch him in action 😀

As for the passport issue, are you sure because you used to need one???? Then again with tourism so important they may have changed their rules.

Ok, just did a google search and it is who I thought it was. Just watched said kiss – think I saw it before on the news or somewhere. I remember thinking at the time that I thought she was behind the entire thing plus how much older she looked than her age.

  68. 07/16/2013 at 12:04 pm

Here’s an intersting story, One that is out of character for me:

On Saturday I was kayaking down a river here in TN. Along the way I kept hearing from other folks in canoes, etc that there was a crazy dog swimming in the river and it refused help to get to shore. Which kind of made sense as on each side of the water were tall cliffs and thick foliage, where would the animal go then?

Eventually I spotted the head of the dog in the muddy water, and sure enough it was swimming in the middle of the river, kind of in circles. I drew alongside it and grabbed it by its rusty collar. It tried to climb into the kayak but the craft kept leaning and taking on water.

I was paddling toward the side of the river with my hand and holding onto the dog when the kayak tipped. The current was kind of quick and I was passing by a low bush. I had a shot at stopping us, but my first attempt failed; the current was too strong. My second try I got a thicker branch and held on for life; water has generally not my friend, and my kayaking down a river was one of the ways this story was abnormal.

I swung us to a ledge where I could stand up, put the dog in the shallow and flipped the kayak best I could. I put the dog in and got in and shoved off.

The dog was a beautiful chocolate lab. I noticed the pooch had scars. As we floated down the river the dog seemed to be searching for something and whimpering like no dog I had ever heard. It was hoarse, and its calls sounded more like coos than barks.

We got to the landing point an hour later and I rammed the kayak on shallow ground got out and took the poor thing to my car. It was then I noticed the teets. And I made the tragic link that the dog’s puppies had been swept away by the river, either by accident, or being put in a sack and tossed in by some dipshit farmer.

No telling how long the dog was in the water searching, but I felt like I had come on the scene at the right time; I don’t think the dog could have made it much longer. She fell asleep in my backseat, and when we got home she ate like she’d never eaten before.

On Monday took her to a vet and found out, as I suspected, she had no chip. And the mystery of her lost pups was revealed; they’re in her belly. Oh jesus. My world just got more complicated. It was an uncharateristic thing for me to do. And now I look at her and smile. It was the right thing to do.

(Just in case this posts as anonymous, this is HJ Madison here). Bubble, I flipped to the blog today for the first time in a long time and yours was the first entry I read. You have a heart of gold and are just the best! I am pretty sure you were not expecting this, but you will make the best “human-dad”. And she is so lucky to have been saved by you. What do you call her?

    • 07/16/2013 at 3:18 pm

Awesome, Bubble. A good friend of mine took in an orphaned 1 day old kitten and now she’s 5 weeks old and thriving. Her name is Flower because she was such a tiny little “bud” and now she’s blossoming. My friend said that keeping that tiny life alive was one of the most difficult things she’s ever done but also one of the most rewarding. Good luck and bless your heart!

      • 07/16/2013 at 3:42 pm

Hi Beans! I’ve been really swamped at work the past few weeks–June 30 was the end of the fiscal year and for me the suckiest time of the year. Budgets are the least favorite part of my job, but very important. Oh well, at least it’s done for another year. On the Stabby front, I don’t know why, but I’ve been addicted to watching/listening to the unedited police interrogation tapes–especially the July 15 (yesterday was the 5 year anniversary–woot woot) pre-jail interviews where she’s insisting that she “was nowhere near Mesa; nowhere near Phoenix”, LOL. Wow, today is the 5th anniversary of her orange jumpsuit interrogation. That girl really needed a big dose of Imodium to treat that deadly case of verbal diarrhea she had 😉 I hope the judge gets the show on the road. How’s life for you? I hope well. Take care!!

I know you’re just kidding darlin’. 🙂 As for Sneiderman, haven’t been following it. One female loon (no offense to the bird) a year is enough for me!

Well, late September is a lot better than 2014!!! This court system is totally ridiculous. Stop giving defendants so many rights and spend more money on judges, court staff, etc. The victims and their family’s, no matter who they are, should not have to wait such a long time for justice!!!!!

That doesn’t mean though that this will not be delayed until 2014. After all, Wurmi is getting paid by the hour and the more motions and delays, the more he makes. Plus we are talking Judge Stephens after all 🙄

Thanks for the kind words about my tale yall. After having been to Aghanistan Ive always been a bit uncomfortable when folks thank me or call me a hero. I just did my job. And I fought to live; self preservation. I cared alot about the folks and the children I was there to assist but in the end I’m afraid it was all for naught. As for the dog I just did what any one of those other assholes on the river should have done. If being a caring, compassionate, unselfish person leads one to hero status, then Jesus, maybe our species is doomed after all. I shared the story here because from all I’ve read from you folks, you all are the caring, commpassionate, unselfish type society needs. It is You people that are My heroes; an island of humanity in a sea of darkness.

So bubble – what have you named your new daughter????? Inquiring minds on here are very curious and are you letting her sleep with you? 😀

      • 07/16/2013 at 2:35 pm

Well, I took in a male dog a few weeks ago. All black, rambunctious as hell. I named him Stu, his last name is Pid.

I was going to name her Sir, last name Vyvor, but I call her Kaya, short for Kayak. When I speak to her I call her Lucky, as in, the wuckiest dawg in da woowd…

She sleeps ver close. Right now she is napping at my feet, and I can see the little aliens kicking in there. The vet said to get her a kiddie pool for the birth. But, woof, what am I gonna do? I’ve never birthed a living being in my life.

BTW, heard she clank/shuffled in there, with a shotgun armed escort. Heh Heh.

        07/16/2013 at 2:43 pm

AWWWWWWWWWW that’s so cute bubble. “Miss Scarlett, I don’t know nuthing bout birthing no babies.” I suggest that you have a serious chat with your vet and so some research in case she has trouble. After all Kaya (Lucky) has been through a massive trauma.

Love the name for your son. One minute, a quiet house, now a ready made family. Love it!!!!!! 😀

And that’s what heroes are Bubs, everyday people who do their jobs, shoulder their responsibilities – day in & day out with a minimum of whining, with compassion and empathy for the plight of others. We thank you for your service.

Bubbles I left a reply a bit ago — not posted as I probably came in as anonymous. Anyway, I haven’t checked in for a long while and your dog-tale was the first I read. You really are the greatest! It takes someone with genuine humaneness to put yourself out there to save Kaya and to bring her home, with pups and all. It breaks my heart to read about your history. You must know that somehow someone in that foreign place is better off for you having been there. I think about the 16 year old girl who spoke at the UN, Malala, who was shot in the head by the Taliban for speaking out. Your very presence in Afganistan is the only way that “we” have of telling her she is very right and the Taliban are very wrong! You have so much courage to have helped deliver that message for all the “we” here at home.

Kaya won the dog lottery the day you found each other. And, you will make a great human-dad. Keep us posted. Now I promise to check in more often!

Hah, Stabby entering the courtroom sounds like Marley’s ghost in Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” Smells like justice to me – eventually.

    • MMD
      07/16/2013 at 2:28 pm

Eventually is the key word, sadly. One bonus, we haven’t heard anything about her or seen her picture since she went into 23/7 lockdown and that’s just fine by me.

      • 07/16/2013 at 2:40 pm

Ditto, but I kept picturing the scene from “The Shining” where Nicholson sticks his face through the door and thinking – “Heeerse Jodi”. Wish Chrissie was here to do something with it.

    • Nienna
      07/16/2013 at 4:58 pm

Beans… No fear. Someone on twitter got to it and had the agent pull out of the deal. Rallied everyone to ask the agent to stop the book and it was DONE in 6 hours! Then the juror said she changed her mind and isn’t going to do a book.

Greetings to all! I thought our favorite WOBO looked terrific today, in fashionable black and white! Shuffling along. Big men with guns around her. It must be so hot there!! Guess we will know more end of August. In the meantime, Andrea Snyderman — what a piece of work!

    • 07/16/2013 at 5:53 pm

Greetings back atcha HJ, it was kinda satisfying wasn’t it.

  103. 07/16/2013 at 7:56 pm

didn’t the ho look dismal today in shackles and chains? Loving it so much!
hey bubble butts I am in Canada so the black issue is NOT like what the USA has had forever and a day. I truly feel for white and black in the US. I had never even met a black person until I was 23 years old! I imagine many of u will be shocked by this statement but it’s true. i was raised in northern Alberta Canada and no blacks but many North American Native Indians so we had our form of racism but if so not in my life or my family. maybe I’m just lucky.but it wasn’t something i even thought about. We all have to live in this world together so better to get along than not. My Grandma used to say that.
also must add i loved the Sopranos too and also the Wire was a good series while it lasted.

What a big waste of time today’s hearing was. Sooooo true to form! Nothing definite, Duh-fence bringing up the rear as usual. The only satisfaction was seeing JackAss in stripes and chains in the Utube video. The look fits her!

We hope the Alexander Family has some sense of normalcy to their lives while they wait. We also hope they are doing well. Does anyone have any news on the Alexander’s?

Hi everyone. I heard on the radio this morning that jodi one wobo was going to court today. Hummmm. Another wasted moment. But one glorious thing, many of the CFJ regarding Travis are still here. I missed reading you all for a while but your Cham sucked me back in.

    Thank you donchais

Hero bubble, omg, doggie mamma and papa here we come. Keep sharing the story.
NL- Dp bless your marriage, honeymoon bound….I looked up St Pierre. I never knew we had french land so close to Maine.
MMD you are still the compassionate softy that i love.
Anna, keep it coming, especially the good food.
Hi beans. I’m in portland not far from you geographically and share many of your ideas.
Kristi, I’m thinking the same thing about the hair, it will be cut soon after her first performance in the next trial.
I just wish they would just settle on lwop. That is what she will get anyway after all the appeals. I believe that if she gets death, future laws will make it null and she will walk lime many others have.

    • Kristy
      07/17/2013 at 1:11 am

I assume you meant me when you said Kristi, even though I’m Kristy. That said, I agree, she’ll most likely get LWOP in either the short or long term. I want her to get a punishment where she gets solitary for as long as possible without general population, in order for her to be miserable. WOBO deserves years of utter misery.
