Jodi Arias Sentencing Phase

imagesOn May 15, the jury found that the aggravating factor, ESPECIALLY CRUEL has been PROVEN!  Jodi Arias was convicted of the brutal murder of Travis Alexander.

Since then, the defense team has been stumbling around, dragging their feet, and filing one ridiculous motion after another in an effort to delay sentencing.

The following has been posted by Travis’ brother Steven on FaceBook:

From Steven Alexander – Letting everybody know, the trial isn’t due to start until mid February. We believe this is a tactic to try and get us to throw in the towel. We will not! I say again it won’t happen. Our family will come together and see it through until it is finished. There is a monster that haunts us, but once the correct sentence is given, it’s her who will be haunted until the most the most humane punishment comes to her. Nothing compared to the sentence she gave to a good man. Anyhow, the entire Alexander family thanks all of you. Thank you for having our backs.

So, hopefully the family will finally see Justice For Travis!

Ah, a new post and a merry snowfall!

We may not get to see Jodi get justice, but we will hear all about it. As with the Colorado Bride Pushes Husband Of 8 Days Off A Cliff drama-ette, there will be lag time due to onerous repression of the media so she gets a “fair” trial.

Fortunately for us, JA’s case is mega news vs. non-mega news. I would love to have a tag-team of good hand-note-takers in there rotating in and out to get out the real facts fast.

I can’t wait to hear what the defense has cooked up for this go-round!

Will she still have her attorney?? She wanted to get rid of Nurmi. Am I understanding correctly that this trial will not be televised? Did they get a change of venue? And good for the family for seeing this stalling tactic for what it is.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

No new venue and Nurmi will remain her attorney as per judge Stephens.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays ~ I have Travis’s family in my thoughts and prayers.
I have the feeling from only 4 comments that JA’s autrocities are getting “swept under the rug”. No mention/update in the media. . . . . . . not even a peep from Nancy,Jane or Dr. Drew.

Judge Stephens has pretty much blocked the media out… however, the family and those of us who care will not let those go softly into the night! Justice For Travis!

Well she certainly got her way to push the next trial off until 2014. The only comfort in it all is that she is locked up and not out walking around until she’s sentenced…hopefully to meet the Devil!

Thanks for your up-date, donchais; first Wurmi, I mean Nurmi, wanted off the case then JA wanted to get rid of him but he is chained to her until the end. My prayers go out to the Alexander family. Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday to all.

I’ve heard that there will be no camera’s and that media will not be permitted to tweet, etc during the new trial. But no one has mentioned if this new trial will be open to the public. Does anyone know if this is a closed court trial or open to the public? I have a chance to be in Mesa in Feb and would love to go to the courthouse and watch this trial since it will not be live-streamed. And I keep hoping the Judge changes her mind on that ruling…

I do believe it is open, just no media from the courtroom.

    Off Topic:

In case you haven’t heard, Mark Jensen’s verdict has been thrown out and he must be released in 90 days. You did a great job covering that case. It will be interesting to see if he will be recharged again and if Jambois is brought back in to retry him.
